According to Channel 4 news:
President Barack Obama made his debut at Friday night’s Radio and Television Correspondents’ Association dinner in more ways than one.
Apparently the President got in a few jabs and zingers of his own on Friday night.
I suppose in this job, it is good to have thick skin. Is this more flattering or insulting than the previous presidential jib-jabs?
I especially liked the ears. So aerodynamic!
Ah yes, freedom of speech, liberals ‘be careful what you wish for’! Just love it when everyone’s fair game, and not just the conservatives! Yes, there IS justice in the world, if not then at least some entertainment!
I agree one needs a thick skin to run the country, but Obama has never shown any sign of having a thick skin whatsoever. Instead, he reminds me very much of a man who almost requires constant adulation (Clinton was very similar). He’s always on TV, and he seems to be perpetually on the campaign trail, even though he won the Presidency. It’s been proven he takes a campaign-style approach to almost everything he tries to get done. Of course, this is not surprising considering the only real accomplishments on the man’s resume is winning elections.
M-H, what I like is that you can supposedly go to the Jib Jab Web site, upload a person’s head shot and star them in their own video. I think I humiliated my family one Christmas by having their bobbing heads on dancing elves, courtesy of Jib Jab.
Slow, I don’t think its that this President requires constant adulation, it’s more that he is an overcommunicator and needs to slow down the hyper on-all-the-time info. Reminds me of a speaker who makes a quick run to the restroom before going on stage…and forgets he’s wearing a wireless mic. Way T M I.
Cindy, your imagery is great today! I had never thought of it that way.
Those dancers are often not appreciated. [evil grin]
SA, I liked the segment where the ears flapped a little.
I would love to have been born that creative.
Slow, I would have thought this thread would be right up your alley. Cartoon characters and all….
LMAO! I like the nuts-and-corn-mobile.
I’ve jibbed my family as well, Cindy. It’s just too tempting.
