It seems that Bill Sammon, Washington Fox News managing editor admitted to going on Fox and “mischievously” accusing then-candidate Barack Obama of being a socialist when Sammon didn’t think it was true – and then justifying that later by saying he now believes it. 🙄
Here is the Jon Stewart take on the issue:
Fox Fox, Fox, you are so Faux.
This is why I do not watch Fox Noise. They are biased in their news coverage. Only stupid, ignorant people watch that network. I like unbiased news.
fox news is fair and balanced, as opposed to the other big players, which is why fox creams the competition every day and night. reruns of oreilly and hannity get more viewers than prime time on cnn and pmsnbc. fact.
I think Moon, who we know watches Fox news from time to time, has been characterized by Starry, here!
He might be right, Slowpoke. Every time I watch and feel my blood pressure rise, I should be asking myself why I am stupid enough to do this to myself.
My problem with Fox is not the opinion from commentators. My problem is that there is very little news and too many people will tell you programs like Fox and Friends and Megyn’s court are news. Not really. They are commentary on news that is presented with a ‘flair.’
e
Let me ask you something….do you want to think that ‘fair and balanced ‘ comes from the most popular vote? Think about high school. (raised eyebrow) What do you walk away with?
Want some toast with your kool aid this morning?
Fox is good because it consolidiates a lot of current thinking in one spot so people like me don’t have to hunt all over the internet and TV stations just to see what popular opinion is. Popular doesn’t make it right. It often isn’t.
So this guys sin was “accusing then-candidate Barack Obama of being a socialist”! NOOOOOO! OH THE HUMANITY! God help us all!
huh, what’s that? Obama is a socialist? Then what’s the big deal?
Hey Starry! You found an “unbiased” News Source? Please let us in on this rare and wonderful thing. What is the name of this source? Is it on TV? Does it publish a paper?
Please, really, enlighten us!
Easy Cargo, I think we all know the answer(s) to that…
Starry, good luck, I’m interested in what you perceive as “unbiased”.
(Honey, can you put on some popcorn?!? This is going to be entertaining.)
This kind of reminds me of the time Moon attempted to legitimize Media Matters… 🙂
And your remarks kinda reminds me of that video Hello Goodbye.
Your troll is showing…again.
Jon Stewart, as usual, puts the reality in people’s faces. All he asked Brett Beir was to admit that that the Bias of Faux News began at the top, sort of like, well, trickle down propoganda. When Roger Ailes, chairman of fox news, says this, with no pause or regret, there is a problem:
I read the most interesting article the other day, it was about the two Virginia’s. And do you know what seperates the prospertity in northern va from central and south va? The overwhelming contribution of the government work horse, from actual military to company’s like Lockheed and Raytheon and other defense contractors. Who put the “food” in many mouths in VA, the federal government.
What is KILLING our country is the cost of health care, DUH! Medicare and Medicaid are about, wait for it, wait for it…………………..HEALTHCARE COSTS! And what are republicans doing about rising health care costs…..wait for it, wait for it,…………………..NOTHING.
Is it that the real driver of our long term deficit is just too complicated for Repubicans to tackle? Do they just simply want to cut these life saving programs that provide medical coverage and hope for the private industry to pick up the slack? Do you know the number one reason that many senior citizens don’t want to retire? HEALTHCARE benefits.

the truth is that it is impossible to report news objectively and unbiased, because we filter news through our political lenses. merely from the standpoint of what stories you cover and which you don’t already betrays an enormous bias. the only exceptions to the above would be weather, sports, and obituaries. fox is appreciated for breaking out of the cookie-cutter mainstream media, putting on a bold, fresh face with real humans emoting real emotions as opposed to the mindless drones spouting liberal dogma and doxi, and rooting for america to prevail as opposed to the clattering international cosmopolitan literati who regard america with disdain and as the source of evil in the modern world.
in regards to the cost of healthcare, the reason for its spiralling cost is because of government intervention. everyone knows the price of a movie ticket, the price of a hotel room, the price of their co-pay to the doc, because we have to pay for it out of pocket. when you don’t directly pay for a service then the whole supply and demand economic system goes out the window. if you’d watch sitcoms on tv all afternoon you’d be amazed how every third commercial is selling auto and property insurance; progressive, nationwide, safeauto, geico are just a few to spring immediately to mind. but no health insurance, i wonder why not? what if to augment medicare we had autocare? after all, poor geezers have to drive too. what about hotelcare? why should disadvantaged segments of our society be deprived of vacations and quality leisure? where does the insanity stop? answer: it never will, the 21st century belongs to china, to paraphrase obama’s pastor the esteemed jeremiah wright america’s chickens have come home to roost, which was the liberals’ agenda all along
where are your facts to support your premise that government intervention is the cause of skyrockting health care costs?
The difference with auto insurance is that people are required to buy it if they own a car, regardless of whether you want to or not, one is legally prohibited from driving without insurance.
@Elena
I see what your saying Elena, however, take a step back for a moment if you will. The main difference with car insurance is that you can buy car insurance from ANY company you wish to.
GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION dictates EXACTLY which company you can buy health insurance from simply by which state you live in (typically limited to one or two choices).
And there you go, direct fact to support the premise that government intervention is the cause of skyrocketing health care costs. Any questions?
BTW, did you happen to notice that I didn’t even mention the fact that driving is a ‘privilege’, not a ‘right’.
Just imagine for a second (since your now comparing car insurance to health insurance), lets say Bugs Bunny had car insurance and then was convicted of DWI. Then Bugs got drunk, drove anyway on a suspended license and ran thru a cross walk and killed 10 children on their way home from school. Bugs then got probation because the ACLU fought for his ‘right’ to be free while on trial. He then got behind the wheel again, got drunk, and plowed thru a bus stop killing 10 innocent pedestrians. Please choose one of the following options:
1.) Bugs should not only get his car insurance back but tax payers should pay for it.
2.) Bugs should never be allowed care insurance again.
3.) Bugs should be able to get car insurance, as long as he can pay for it himself.
So, which did you choose? (hint: As a special bonus Ill let you know if your wrong or right)
@Elena
Not required to buy auto insurance but if you don’t you are allegedly required to pay of fee of $500 in Virginia in order to have your car registered.
Don’t even try to answer Cooper’s theorhetical case–see below.
@Dan Cooper
Third DWI offense within 10 years = class 6 felony as I read it here:
http://www.dmv.state.va.us/webdoc/pdf/dmv168.pdf
So none of your answers are correct.
