The legislation that would require presidential candidates to produce a birth certificate before they can be on the ballot in Arizona to show that he or she is a natural-born citizen of the U.S. and eligible to be president.
a) Early baptismal or circumcision certificate.
What does this mean for women and those who are NOT baptised or circumcised
(b) Hospital birth record.
(c) Postpartum medical record for the mother or child signed by the doctor or midwife or the person who delivered or examined the child after birth.
(d) Early census record.
2. A sworn statement or form that identifies the presidential candidate’s places of residence in the United States for fourteen years.
C. In addition to the requirements of subsection B, the presidential candidate may also submit a notarized affidavit from two or more persons who witnessed the presidential candidate’s birth.
D. If the secretary of state receives any documents in place of a long form birth certificate pursuant to subsection B, paragraph 1 and cannot determine if the presidential candidate meets the requirements prescribed in Article II, section 1, Constitution of the United States, the secretary of state may establish a committee to assist in the determination or hold hearings and submit any documents for forensic examination.
Now THIS looks like a show, I mean “committee”, that might require parental guidance! Does this committee inspect, ahem, private areas for proof of circumcision? Do they force you into a body of water and if you float you are a witch but if you drown you are G-dly, therefore proving the authenticity of your Baptismal record?
E. If both the presidential candidate and the national political party committee for that candidate fail to submit and swear to the documents prescribed in this section, the secretary of state shall not place that presidential candidate’s name on the ballot in this state. If the candidate and national political party committee for that committee submit and swear to the documents prescribed in this section, but the secretary of state believes that the preponderance of the evidence shows that the candidate does not meet the citizenship, age and residency requirements, the secretary of state shall not place that presidential candidate’s name on the ballot in this state
Just an FYI on circumcision proof. My son’s bris certificate has the Jewish year and date, NO place of birth. What does it prove to be cicumcised???????

It also generally implies a hospital birth on older men, but is not an absolute.
So, if Arizona becomes the looniest state in the nation and decides to ban a candidate’s name from the ballot if that candidate can’t/won’t meet its standards, will its citizens then become disenfranchised? If they decide to write in the banned candidate’s name, will their write-in vote be accepted? I think many happy lawyers are going to flock to Arizona.
Of course, A) was included so that the state covered as many possible alternative sources of information proving location of birth. That’s all this is. If said document fails to do that, then its useless for this purpose.

President Obama has NOT produced a certified birth certificate from Hawaii. That’s the problem. The current governor, a friend of his, couldn’t find one either.
What President Obama has presented, and has not been verified by Hawaii is a Certificate of Live Birth.
Which his half sister, born in Indonesia, has also acquired.
How come I can’t get any credit for some reasonable things I say(assuming that sometimes it’s reasonable) but if I repeat some absurd things the Republicans do ya’ll give me credit for it LOL ? The problem comes in where the” Full Faith and Credit” clause of the U.S. Constitution, which requires states to recognize each others documents, marriage license’s etc.
So Arizona may wind up in Federal Court.

Actually, I did not say that he wasn’t a natural born citizen. I just said that he’s never provided that birth certificate, which he has not.
He has provided a copy of a Certificate of Live Birth, which is not a Birth certificate. If they want to accept that, then that’s on them. But saying that I’m being conspiratorial doesn’t change the fact that he has not done so, nor has one found. The current governor of Hawaii, in an effort to stop all the conspiracy talk, took it upon himself to verify the certificate and reported that, surprisingly, he cannot find on in the records nor in any hospital.
Now, I’m not trying to say what that might mean. I am just reporting the actual facts of the case. I’m not even getting into the discussions out there concerning his adoption by a foreign national, travel on a passport of another country to Pakistan, which at that time, did not allow Americans to enter, the age of the mother at the time of the birth and whether that mattered in conferring citizenship, location of birth, or the actual definition of NATURAL BORN which has not be clarified.
I’m just reporting on the fact that Obama released an unverified image of a Certificate of Live Birth from Hawaii. That’s all. All the other matters are moot since he WAS certified as President.
Now, if states change the requirements to get on the ballot…that’s up to them.

Hawaii’s Certificate of Live birth is available to people born outside of Hawaii and does not show information such as location of birth, etc. It is not a Birth Certificate.
Aha! I see the problem in what I said. Hawaii issues a CERTIFICATION of live Birth. THAT is what President Obama showed. It is not the same as a Certificate of Live birth.
A Hawaii Certification of Live Birth could be legally obtained at the time of Obama’s birth by a parent’s registering the child’s birth by affidavit. It could be obtained, regardless of the child’s place of birth and without the signature of the doctor or attending nurse during the child’s birth. A parent is an interested party and an affidavit by an interested party does not carry the same weight in court. A doctor is presumably an disinterested party and a Birth Certificate carries great weight in court.
As a Certification of Live Birth is was so easily obtained and verification of it basis so poor, COLBs are not considered reliable evidence of birth in Hawaii by Hawaiian court.
This is what is driving the controversy.
In 1961, thousands of foreign nationals obtained citizenship by this manner. Notice, I am not saying that Obama’s parents did this. I’m saying that Hawaii’s procedures were weak.
And so, because of this controversy and Obama’s refusal to clear it up, states are being force to strengthen their own requirements….for ALL candidates.

See there, you are reading things into what I wrote. All I reported is what he has done. I did not state reasons for it, I did not speculate. The other things I mentioned are the things that OTHER people speculate upon and I put them there to contrast what I wrote.
This controversy over HAWAII’S problem with its type of birth certification is what is causing the controversy, along with Obama’s general secretiveness about his past.
