6 Thoughts to “Dick Durbin and Jon Stewart chat amongst themselves”

  1. I figured as much. The interview is far too rational for many of our guests to sit through.

    Am I surprised? Not in the least.

    I don’t know. Jon Stewart and Little Dick Durbin? Maybe I can watch if I have a bucket close by.

    1. I thought it was informative. I can see why you wouldn’t though. It might be like asking me to watch Hannity and not becoming violently ill. Durbin would change campaign financing. He feels it would improve good governance to get rid of all the special interest on both sides of the aisle.

    Oh Jesus, there’s THREE parts to it? That’s a bit much….like watching 3 episodes of Brady Bunch.

    I’ll watch it on my iPad tonight when I’m trying to put myself to sleep :mrgreen:

    @Moon-howler
    I love the word’s “special interest.” I haven’t watched it yet, so my comment isn’t directed at his usage, but to the words in general.

    Both parties use those words to deride their opponents supporters.

    How does one take away the power of organized Americans to support candidates?

    Corporations? Perhaps. But to level the playing field, you must do the same to unions.
    Groups like the NRA? Have to do it to all advocacy groups.

    The only thing that I could see is if ONLY private citizens could give money. Individually. No bundling.
