From the Women’s Strike Force:

The Women’s Strike Force condemns Speaker Howell’s demeaning and condescending rhetoric aimed at Anna Scholl, executive director of ProgressVA.  During an exchange captured on video, Scholl questioned Howell’s dissatisfaction with a ProgressVA report. As usual, Speaker Howell’s offensive attitude towards women surfaced.  Howell’s remark to Scholl that “I guess I’m not speaking in little enough words for you to understand” is demonstrative of the legisltature’s outrageously offensive attacks on women’s rights.

The Women’s Strike Force applauds Scholl’s response to Howell, Scholl responded “I’m a smart girl, actually. I went to the University of Virginia; I benefited from public education; I think words with multiple syllables would be just fine for me.”

Why would speaker Howell address anyone like that?  Anna Scholl was being perfectly polite to him.  He simply must just be a rude pig.  There is no other explanation.  He owes Anna Scholl an apology and he needs to disassociate himself with ALEC, American Legislative Exchange Council.

The smug look he carries around on his face says it all.

WOW, Howells behavior is incredibly rude AND demeaning!

Sorry, but if you’re going to identify yourself as part of the “Women’s Strike Force”….you really need to mentally prepared to be spoken down to. Other examples of groups that are likely to get you talked down at: The Lesbian-Gay-Transgender Zombie’s Front, The International Alliance for Go-Tards, and the Anal Prolapse Justice League.

    1. Reading 101, slowie. She didn’t. They came to her defense. She identified herself as the executive director of ProgressVA. You can think whatever you want.

Which of those terms offends you?
      Women? Strike? Force?

As Speaker of the Delegate Assembly, Speaker Howell should not be speaking down to anyone. Why does that smirking, smiling jackass think he is superior?

I thought I was going to get in trouble!!

Of course, neither of the three words offends me, as there is nothing offensive about them. However, the three words strung together are a little funny! And without voice inflection, my last post came off wrong. Let me try again. I though I was going to get in trouble UNTIL I saw Cato’s picture……now I’m not as worried anymore. If anyone is gonna get it, it’ll be Cato 🙂

    1. I didn’t even look. @slowie

So you might still have to go to the naughty chair. I do the invsible space thing when cato thinks he is being clever.

BWAHAHAH pokie you just got told. Nobody likes a snitch 😈

Scholl undercut her case that she understands multi-syllable words by admitting that she went to UVa 😉

    1. Is this where I say screw you on behalf of all those associated with UVA?

HAHAHAHHAHAHA.. Watched the video. Ok, he’s an ass. Check.

But, she’s a tool. When someone calls you stupid you don’t then pull out the – I went to xyz school. You make yourself look like a bigger tool than the guy that called you stupid.

BTW, the Speaker is a liberal in my book.

    He’s no marinm republican…….

    1. John birch is a liberal in your book, Marin.

Why do you think Howell is a liberal? all I could see is that he is an ass. Her point was directed at Howell because he got his law degree at UVA, I suspect.

I would prefer that an ASS not be speaker of the General Assembly. I thought he made Virginia look bad.

  9. marinm

Touche @ John Birch Society…. That made me spittle some iced tea. Well played.

    Speaker Howell is anti-gun. So, he’s anti-freedom, anti-liberty and pro-big government.

“I would prefer that an ASS not be speaker of the General Assembly President of the United States. I thought he made Virginia America look bad.” Fixed that for ya.

    @SlowpokeRodriguez

Is the use of such offensive language really necessary for you to get your point across?
