Trading supposedly begins at around 11 am. Facebood Friday. Will you try to buy or wait?

The IPO share will probably be around $40.  The institutional guys can buy at that price.  The common man cannot.   It will be fun to watch.  I think I might just hold back for a while.  I can’t see the real money in Facebook.  Who has ever bought anything off of Facebook?  There is just too much free there.  We’ll see.

Let the frenzie begin.  Let’s hope the FB frenzie stirs up the bulls and has them hoofing it, kicking the bears back as they charge.

10 Thoughts to “Facebook IPO: to buy or not to buy”

I am with you Moon, but what have you ever bought from Google? Yahoo? I think it will be hyped up above fair value, and then come back down in a few weeks – that might be the time to buy if you are still interested.

    1. I agree, Pat. I am not sure I am interested. I have set aside some cash if I become interested. Now…for those of you out there who might think I have a fairy god father…I don’t buy much. For example, I own 1 share of google…on a bet.

Me too! How is it we aren’t rich. We do live in the 9th most affluent county in the nation, right? 🙄

It’s not every day you get to watch an individual (Zuckerberg) BECOME the 1%.

  5. Zuckerburg has been the 1%. His employees ar the new kids on the block.

You can buy that stock if you want it. Its moving right along. Pick up a couple shares, marin. You got bucks. It doesn’t take many at under $41 a share. Apparently people were scared off of it.

  6. So much for all the hype. *I* was even allowed to buy some. In the world of stocks, I am but a lowly slug.

  7. Chris, I will share with you.

“Not rich”, eh? Compared to whom?
    OK, OK, I know you’re joking! :<)
