Let’s give Romney and Ryan their day in court.  I will agree that they never said anything as flat earth society-like as Akin.  However, let’s not skirt the real issue.  How does the NEW stance of Romney on abortion differ from the stance of Akin?

How does Paul Ryan’s stance on abortion differ from the stance of Todd Akin?

From a legal point of view, I don’t see any difference in Ryan and Akin.

10 Thoughts to “Romney says its “sad” for Dems to try to tie Akin to Romney and Ryan”

Please, voters, don’t pay any attention to: Rising Gas Prices, 16 trillion in debt, 8%+ unemployment since anyone can remember……look over here! Abortion!!

    1. Absolutely women are looking. Abortion isn’t your concern. I don’t know why you even have an opinion. You shouldn’t.

  2. Akin is not being attacked for his stance on abortion. He is being criticized for his stupid comments regarding rape and a woman’s reaction to it. Its the media trying to tie his pro-life stance to the problem. But his position was already known when he was leading in the polls before he stuck his foot in his mouth. Ryan’s positions are already known and have been figured into anyone’s decision to vote for him.

Lafayette and I can go pay the owner of that weiner wagon to park in front of your house for a while.

The Reproductive issues are extremely important. You can deny that all you want and you will just end up looking ridiculous. When literally hundreds of bills are introduced that are directed against one gender, one has to assume…

Meanwhile, keep you eyes pealed for that weiner wagon.

Sorry Cargo, yes, Akin is being attacked for stupidity and for his anti choice position. Make no mistake about it. No one had ever heard of him nationally. Seriously, its hard to be critical if no one has ever heard of you except those in your immediate area.

Surely you are kidding? Paul Ryan is no secret. The pro-choice community was all over that one.

The Akin stench rubs off on Ryan. That’s just the way it works.

He made himself the poster child of the anti choice movement. He is being attacked for all of it. If it isn’t loud and vociferous, it is only because right now, he is convenient to the pro choice community. Very convenient. He did more in under a minute than the pro choice community could do with 10 million bucks and hours of time.

Apparently foot in mouth is standard fare for GOP senate candidates in 2012. Today the GOP candidate in Pennsylvania, Tom Smith, compared his daughter having a baby out-of-wedlock to a rape victim having a rape baby. Guess some men just don’t appreciate the difference between consent and coercion.

Right, but women’s issues / fear tactics aren’t really in play this election, except for the far left fringe that wouldn’t vote Republican at gunpoint anyway.

    1. Why you are right. Women don’t vote and mice don’t read the newspapers or watch TV.

Slowpoke, what is it that bothers you so much about women not like the repression represented by today’s Republican party? Do you realize you just sound stupid and ill informed when you say stuff like that?

I doubt that will get past the HuffPo crazies.
