It will be up to the women of Virginia to decide if the Republicans are going to make deeply personal decision for them.
The people on the board were threatened by the governor and the attorney general.
From last week– too much else was going on.
At least one board member said members of the panel felt threatened by a memo from the office of Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli that warned board members could lose legal representation from the Attorney General’s Office if they ignored its advice.
In June, the board had voted 7-4 to exempt existing abortion clinics from the new construction standards, only to have Cuccinelli’s office refuse to certify the regulations.
The Attorney General’s Office argued that the board lacked the authority to enact provisions that, in its view, did not comply with the law passed by the General Assembly in 2011. That refusal sent the regulations back to the board for Friday’s reconsideration.
“We were warned. … I could call it a threat, as individual board members, if we didn’t take the advice, if we exceeded our authority,” said board member James H. Edmondson Jr. of Fairfax County, one of two members of the 15-member board to vote against adoption of the stringent new requirements. Ten members of the board were appointed by Gov. Bob McDonnell, who, like Cuccinelli, opposes abortion.
Yes, this is bullying. It is time for these men to leave office.
The pro-choice people chanted shame shame shame and were escorted from the room by security. It seems that some felon in California making movies mocking Mohammad has more free speech rights than the women of Virginia. I sure don’t hear conservatives defending their first amendment rights, now do I?
Rachel Maddow shames MSNBC.
@SlowpokeRodriguez
Agree. She is smarter than that, but also knows which side of her bread has the butter. That she inflames the left with phony issues and does the bidding of the demogoge elites is scary.
@SlowpokeRodriguez
You shame my blog so we all have our crosses to bear. You get cut breaks because I like you though. blue can’t make that claim.
Blue, I am maybe a nano second away from pulling the plug on your big mouth. We know who you are. Does your husband know you are outting him?
Go tell Greg all about it. You will get more sympathy there.
Before you kick blue can you give him/her my email address?? I want to connect via FB etc..
I can’t. fake email address.
I have no way to contact her because the email she uses isnt real.
I make your blog shine like a beacon of light and truth. Nope, couldn’t get through it with a straight face.
Didn’t think so. How about…that shining light on the hill?
Its that hope and truth that I rely on.
Cuccinelli has some despot seeds in his personality.
The Gov. is lacking a spine.
The Richmond people are sheep (except for two).

Romney is getting his butt kicked here in Virginia, according to latest poles, and he just may drag Allen down with him.
This is happening not because Virginians are freeloaders but because state repugs are waging a war on women. They are reaping what they sow.
They won’t be “sowing” much (in the biblical sense) if they keep this war up either.
You are right, Starry, it is over ultra sounds and hospital clinics. I hope it also sends a strong message to Herr Cooch that he can bend over and kiss his sweet ass good buy. Yes, he has been targeted by the reproductive rights groups. They will direct their energies into seeing that he loses, in favor of Terry McAuliffe.
In his hubris, that Jersey boy didn’t stop to think that the women of Virginia aren’t going to be sent back 50-75 years. They will send his ass packing.
I think I will give my gubmt money all to them. I can always get some more from Obama. Isn’t that what the Republicans are telling me?
@Moon-howler
What are you talking about? Husband? Outing who? What does DW mean? and who is Greg?
You do have my e-mail adress.
@Blue
email [email protected] and I will send you marin’s email address.
Marin, mi amigo, becareful what ya wish for. Especially if he were to know one of your former moniker’s AB. Your a$$ would be kicked to the curb pretty quickly.
Nothing like playing coy. Who is Greg. LMAO.
Pathetic attempt at best.
curb, river, whatever. Yes, lafayette is sending a wise warning.
Not sure when the last time I logged in was. Just was dull. No fun. Too singular focus.
Laf, the nice thing about being more libertarian than republican (or a Ron Paul Republican) is that both sides of the aisle hate me.
Liberals hate me because I believe in individuals and the marketplace and distrust govt. republicans hate me because I disdain govt preaching morals to me and how a strong national defense means we need to be the worlds policeman. So I’m used to not being liked. 🙂
Blue, be forewarned. If you want my email address. I am an anchor baby but I refuse to use myself as an anchor as my parents if granted citizenship will vote for Obama. My duty as an American is to not let that happen.
@marin, fortunately, your parents don’t need your anchorship to become citizens if that is what they want to do.
I would help them study.
No email yet @marin
@Moon-howler
Nope and I first had to get past a radio interview this morning.
OK so where we. I am clearly not who Moon thinks I am. I took DW as a slur, along with bite me and screw you. What does DW mean Moon? Apparantly, agreeing with NTK re Rachael Maddow (see above) was enough to trigger off something. I am not “Gregg” either.
As to Marinm, we agree on so much. Thank you for your service, but lets keep it this way. I will not be joining the group for coffee either.
Take it anyway you want to take it, blue.
Slur? bwaaaahahahahahahaha
Surely you aren’t going to ask me what bite me or screw you mean? Oh please…ask….I can spell it out ever so much better.
Marin, guess you got the brush off too. Don’t take it personally. Mrs. Blue doesn’t want me near an email address of hers.
@Marinm
Laf, the nice thing about being more libertarian than republican (or a Ron Paul Republican) is that both sides of the aisle hate me.
Well, Mr. Marin, I’m right there with you. I take crap from both sides. I simply refuse to subscribe to either parties BS.
Met Rand Paul the other day. Looking forward to him runnig for Pres in 2020. Down to earth, easy going, not an arrogant, self assured, government should be everything to everybody piss ant. Trusts people to do the right thing, really does beleives in personal responsbility and limited government. A looks you in the eye and listens kind of guy. I think I am going to start putting my money there now.
