My cousin the biology teacher said it best:

“I believe this guy is confusing social science with science and at the same time confusing his head with his ass. #jerk”

I have never heard such garbage in all my life.

Even Megyn Kelly rose up on her hindquarters and fought back saying ” who died and made you Scientist-in-Charge?

40% of the moms are the breadwinners. Some dads are the caregivers. Why is this a bad thing? Shouldn’t each person do what is best for their family?

7 Thoughts to “Fox’s Erick Erickson: It’s ‘Anti-Science’ To Not Believe Men Should ‘Dominate’ Women”

  1. Starryflights

There sure are a lot of freakazoids on that Fox News channel. Thanks for reminding me why I don’t watch Fox.

    1. Meghan Kelly surprised me. She usually drinks the kool aid before speaking. I guess this one hit her where she lives.

  2. Lyssa

She was pretty good with Rove on election night. This was just so Neanderthal….Greta van Sustren got into it as well. C’mon ladies, doesn’t Erickson absolutely look like the guy that sends you for a hand wash? I know that’s unfair – sorry guys women just KNOW that type.

    – Van Susteren took to her blog and did not hold back, writing, “Have these men lost their minds? (and these are my colleagues??!! oh brother… maybe I need to have a little chat with them (next thing they will have a segment to discuss eliminating women’s right to vote?)”

    Lou Dobbs is still around?!!!

Yes, Lyssa, Erickson is cringe worthy. Ick.

This is the reason women are getting royally POed with the Republican Party and the old geezers who speak for it. First they start with anti-abortion messages. Next come anti-contraception messages. We’ve already heard whines about affirmative action for men – even on this blog. Now there are hints of “get back to the kitchen”. Then it’ll be eliminate the vote.

Why not try to address real economic issues instead? Perhaps child support or jail/job? How about jobs? How do we stay competitive globally? Don’t we need more women and men in STEM courses? These neanderthals merely want to see this country fail economically. They put the brakes on the economy, whine about the breakup of American families, and fail to see the connections.

    1. I would like to throw in affordable child care which helps both men and women who don’t have the luxury of one of them staying at home. When I think of what I paid when my kids were little compared to what people pay nowadays, it takes my breath away. Wages have been fairly flat since then. Child care costs have risen exponentially.

To be clear, while Erick Erickson may have been a commentator on a Fox News segment, he’s not “Fox News’ Erick Erickson”…he’s a regular commentator at CNN, and is the editor in chief of Red State blog. That said, his comments were stupid. No other way to describe them.

+1 to all. I found the “Fox News Erick…. to be funny, since he actually has a gig on CNN.
