Let’s let the experts explain it:
There were a lot of compliments to staff on how well they handled the budget crisis. They were forthcoming and had done indepth preparation for the audit that was going to be done. The representative from McGladrey group did an excellent job explaining not only what happened but ways to minimize the chances of similar mistakes occuring again. She reiterated that there was no fraud or waste and that tax payers money had not been squandered.
This woman really is an example of what good public communications should be.
She was clear and concise.
She could open her own communications consulting firm.
No kidding. Thanks for posting it.
I thought given the alternate universe presentation found on some other blogs, people should just see the real story for themselves.
I don’t expect people to take my word for it. They shouldn’t. Who am I? No one. A blogger. However, if people have eyes and ears, they can see what really went on for themselves. If they still choose to delude themselves, well, I can’t help that. I will laugh at them though.
Yes, I watched this and the read that. Pretty amazing. Although watching and hearing someone speak vs an anonymous angry blogger is a no brainer. Why would anyone believe what he wrote when they can see and hear for themselves. Well, this failure has been coming for a while. Guess its over. Remember watching the end of the dark side approach?
I saw on another blog where the McGladrey group was described as a “purported “independent” audit firm.”
The McGladrey Group is undisputedly a reputable firm with national standing. They even have their own golf classic, for crying out loud. How can this group be questioned as though PWC has them in their pocket. This is a national company with over 70 offices nationwide.
I suggest that someone who uses italics doesn’t get out much or maybe its just too many trips to the mothercountry.
Wasn’t the hysterics over using an independent outside audit group? Now people are complaining that they aren’t independent enough?!
Geez, does the silliness ever end?
No kidding. who do people think they would report to if they were in-house auditors?
It’s clear that the process is not their interest (target). And they crucified the CXO for ousting an audit guy who was later arrested
