ill eagle Graffiti on proposed shelter for immigrant children in Maryland: ‘No illeagles here.’

This doesn’t bode well for sick raptors and dumb asses. Ignorance is a dangerous thing.  Do you suppose we are deporting the wrong people?

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Scout

These wildlife care places do a great job. There was an article in the Post recently about a red-shouldered hawk that had been rehabilitated and was about to be released. How people can get agitated about this is beyond me. But, then again, we live in an extraordinarily stupid age.

    1. It seems you just can’t stop stupid.

  3. Lyssa

That there is a real Amurican.. When will Other countries begin outsourcing jobs to the US for lower pay?

  4. Starry flights

We only want healthy eagles, not ill ones. What a retard.

  5. Pat.Herve

People are not realizing how brain washed they are becoming and can no longer think for themselves. Fox really has the button on how to get a message out and across their target audience. They do have the number 1 rating, but all that means is that there are more Republicans and Conservatives that waste their time watching TV than others. I wish some of them would go find another hobby.

  6. Starry flights

WaPost reports that this is being investigated as a hate crime.

    1. I think a hate crime is a bit much. It is vandalism that reflects the stupidity of the “artist.”

  7. Lyssa

    On Democrats?

  8. Elena

    no silly, against eagles!

  9. Lyssa

That message was very confusing. Maybe they don’t speak English.

  10. Scout

The hate crime evidenced here was committed against orthography, and, by extension, English/American culture and civilization. America has somehow created a class of people who are as voluble as they are under-educated. They are awash in information, but totally unable to engage in rational handling of that information. Low level pols love it. These types are infinitely manipulable.

  11. The dumb and the restless are definitely trying to push local political buttons. Some of our politicians are wearing their arms out switching hats off/on back/forth.

This is what I don’t get. If these kids have been there for a while, and no one knew it until last week, they obviously weren’t bothering anyone. So why is everyone wigging out so badly?

  12. Wolve

    Maryland educational system.

  13. Wolve

Might have some artistic talent though. Those letters are rather well formed.

Could be a Mikulski supporter. She certainly put the kibosh on using the vacant Social Security building in downtown Baltimore to house these kids from Central America. The Mayor of Baltimore was right behind her with a big no-no on that proposal. Just a couple of “low level pols.”

    1. What was her reason? I am curious. What do you think should be done with these children that operates within the law?

They have to be housed somewhere until they can have a detention hearing. Why are these children so threatening on a temporary basis?

  15. Lyssa

Why are the Baltimore mayor and Mikulski “low level” pols? I don’t think those that write hate messages against democrats are Mikulski supporters? Or is that just a knee jerk reaction to a well written post?

  16. Cargosquid

    @Moon-howler
Under what logic do you see this as “temporary?” These children will not be leaving. Neither will the adults that accompanied them. Neither will those that follow because of this precedent.

Mexico is cooperating with countries to its south to move illegal aliens to this country. Instead of stopping them as they used to, they are merely moving them here.

Of course, we could just send them to Canada.

Since the feds knew that this was coming, why didn’t they build facilities for this. Like Australia. They have illegal alien detention centers that houses illegal aliens until they are processed for deportation back to their homelands.

    1. Actually the first plane left yesterday. Start cheering.

  17. Wolve

“Low level pols” was a gentle jab at Scout (#12), Lyssa.

I don’t know exactly why Mikulski et al put the quick kibosh on the vacant Social Security building, but the USG did back off real quick on that one. Of course, I wouldn’t want to live in Baltimore either. But I did see that the folks in Westminster, MD, are putting up the same kind of opposition.

The graffiti “artist” and Mikulski must be on the same NIMBY page on this issue, no?

  18. Scout

Wolve: I didn’t take it as a jab. I thought you just liked the phrase. Mikulski and the Mayor are manipulated by the yobs on that one. My reference was to the turkeys who are doing the manipulation. A lot of it is going on at the local level. The guys higher up the pol food chain are waiting a bit to see how things break.

  19. Lyssa

Very literal here and I still can’t process Democrats on that wall.

    1. Literal like if I said it was raining cats and dogs, you would go outside and look for a pet?

I didn’t get it either and I am not particularly literal.

  20. Wolve

Look at the differences between the letters D, M, R, and A in the upper and lower graffiti. Looks to me like a second “artist” may have been involved. Heh, heh. Maybe a Dem trying to make the whole thing seem to smack of Repubs?

    1. Someone used a stencil. LOL

A dumb someone or a really clever one. Not sure which.

  21. Lyssa

    Moon-howler :

    Close.

Vandalism is not a good thing, nor a productive means of civil disobediance.

I’m gonna say one thing though, in defense of whoever did this. (It wasn’t me). Given that the “two political parties” are so in the bag on this issue, with neither willing to represent the majority point of view or to protect the interests of American citizens, it’s by no means surprising that people get frustrated. i would expect more rather than less of this type of expression. I’m sure that this type of thing happens in every other banana republic all over the world where there’s a pretense at democracy, but when it comes down to it only perspectives that make the rich richer or make it easier for them to hold onto their money are validated by the “opposing” “parties”.
