Kellyanne Conway has taken “alternative facts” to a new level.
During a Thursday interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, the counselor to the president defended President Trump’s travel ban related to seven majority-Muslim countries. At one point, Conway made a reference to two Iraqi refugees whom she described as the masterminds behind “the Bowling Green massacre.”
“Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered,” Conway said.
The Bowling Green massacre didn’t get covered because it didn’t happen. There has never been a terrorist attack in Bowling Green, Ky., carried out by Iraqi refugees or anyone else.
At what point is KellyAnne Conway going to stop lying? I knew Trump was a serial liar but it seems that KellyAnne is now proving that he has surrounded himself with people of the lie.
There was never a Bowling Green Massacre. Conway, Spicer and others who speak for the president just seem to continually spew crap to justify their boss’s incompetence and screw ups.
Is Bannon the Wizard of Oz? Is he the Rasputin behind the man who knows nothing?
The next video addresses the fake alternative massacre that simply did not happen:
When is this person going to be impeached and removed from office?
There was apparently a terrorist plot involving Bowling Green that was thwarted. Nobody in this administration seems to want to admit anything was done well in the previous eight years. Even Trump has felt the need to qualify it if he said something positive about his predecessor.
To have an advisor like her – spouting about alternative facts, events that did not happen and straight out lies – one wonders what the administration is thinking
Pat.Herve,
Is this so much different than the previous administration claiming that events that demonstrably did happen, never happened, or making up causes for events that they couldn’t hide? No scandals? A youtube video that no one had viewed caused heavily-armed Islamic radicals to attack our consulate, and kill our ambassador?
Steve Thomas,
for example, Steve? What would you consider the Obama Administration’s analog to the Bowling Green Massacre (which, I guess, occurred on Obama’s watch in the alternative universe)?
@Scout
Can I chime in with a “ISIS is a JV team”?
That remark was the opposite of looking large. He was trying to minimize them in their own minds at the time. It was obvious to most of the thinking world when he said it.
The remark was not inventing things that didnt happen, in an alternate universe.
@MoonHowler
I’m not sure I follow you… are you saying that President Obama told the American people that “ISIS was a JV team” to get in their heads to make them (them being ISIS) feel minimized?
Are you sure it wasn’t to hide the fact that his and Secretary Clinton’s foreign policy directly led to the explosive growth of the nearly vanquished terror group?
Positive that wasn’t it. Describe Clinton’s foreign policy? Also, didnt she take direction from Obama?
@MoonHowler
So you’re saying that Obama knew that ISIS was NOT a JV team but said that they were to screw with them?
Here is one thing that Secretary Clinton boasted about continually for ages which provided ISIS with safe haven in which they thrived and grew:

Not saying anything then or now. Yawn. You know, right now I don’t give a Flying flip what Obama said about ISIS. What I do care about is this incompetent egomaniac in the White House who is probably going to get us into a whole lot more than any of his predecessors did.
Militant groups are always springing up, especially in the Middle East. How do you think they will react to a ban on Muslims? That move was pretty JV if you ask me. I think its better to call someone JV than to for our country to show the world that our president IS JV.
Do you have a problem with Qadaffi being dead? I sure don’t. I didnt shed a tear.
@MoonHowler
How do I think militant groups will react to a temporary travel ban? Great question… will they hate us even more? Doubt it. Will they stop chanting death to America and cutting off people’s heads if there was no ban? Doubt it.
I didn’t shed a tear when Qadaffi died either. But seeing Hillary laugh her ass off about it without thinking about what was to come next is disturbing. Thank God she lost the election.
So you think Qadaffi dying has anything to do with what is going on now? Did you laugh when Bin Laden died?
I don’t care if she laughed. You obviously hate her. You have hated her since I have kept this blog, maybe even before I owned it. I hope you like what is there now. I see him as a Russian sympathizer with crude habits and an unpresidential demeanor, just for starters. I think he is horribly dangerous to our democracy.
But you hate Hillary Clinton so I guess the ends justify having the middle schooler president at the helm.
So you’re more concerned with spinning the past because you can’t defend or explain the clown show going on now?
You could go buy some Ivanka products for your valentine but the scarf is reportedly flammable, just like Trump.
Jerome Doublas,
It probably costs more than its worth, also.
Robin Hood, I am seeing a lot of that….going back to the past with whatever spin rather than commenting on the clown show. I just wish it were funny. I think it is horribly dangerous.
I actually think it is because conservatives are as appalled as moderates and liberals. At some point, we will all have to defend each other to do a serious correction. This situation is the worst situation in my lifetime and remember, I am no spring chicken.
@Robin Hood
Hello Robin, just pointing out the hypocrisy over the faux outrage. I believe that she should be called out on it for lying and she has. They need to fix that asap.
I also think that she should incur some sort of disciplinary action for the product endorsement. However, that is a good idea, I just may see if something in her clothing line is good for my wife for Valentine’s Day! It is our anniversary after all 🙂
KellyAnne’s gaffe is nothing compared to Trump’s conflict of interest.
She should get a letter in her file, get sent to ethics class for a day and move on.
That’s really not a scandal.
I knew while it was happening that Benghazi was going to be a political issue rather than a terrorist attack. Why? What was being said on this very blog. It was transparent and came to pass.
Notice nothing is being said about the botched raid in Yemen.
