Jon Stewart outdoes himself.  Many of our readers had some questions about some  bondage issues–you know, those alphbet issues some people have like B &D, S & M, etc etc.   In keeping with providing provocative headlines….Here you all go… Warning:  some of this video is …oh how do they say it in those clubs?  Rough trade?  Beware:  somewhat X rated.  Not for kids or the squeaky clean.

Faux lesbian?  It must have been that word ‘simulated.’  Hopefully the footage answers everyones questions. And apologies to Michael Steel. This is probably more than he deserves. What is it though with the Young Eagles? Is that Phyllis Schafly’s group? Phyllis as a dominatrix is just not the visual I was hoping for. I was thinking more along the lines of Johnny Depp in full pirate drag.

26 Thoughts to “GOP XXX-tends Its Family Values Theme to Bondage Clubs–According to Jon Stewart”

  1. I’m just glad that they were looking at women……….

  2. At one of those clubs, it could be anything.

Poor Michael Steel. He tries. I haven’t figured out why he is the fall guy for all this. It sounds to me like some young Republicans haven’t learned how to go out, have a good time, and not leave a paper trail.

Is Uncle Michael old enough to sit them down and tell them the story of the Monkey Business and other such foolishness and how to NOT get associated with such things?

  3. hello

Man, this whole time I was wondering why it was taking so long for the ‘family values’ thread to start on this story. What happened Moon? You either fell asleep at the wheel or were just waiting for a Stewart clip… 🙂

I agree cargo 100%, at least they were looking at women, can you imagine what would have happened if this were some sort of gay club? Yikes!

By the way, checked out the blog… it awesome!

  4. hello

If it were a ‘gay’ club the all-so-tolerant left would have been relentless.

  5. So bondage is your thing, Hello? Every seen the ‘mummies’ or the flaggelaters?

  6. Mummies? Flaggelaters? What? Where have you been hanging out? I think I know what the mummies are, but the other?

How detailed are we going to get here and should I go get into some comfortable clothes?

  7. hello

Nah, not much into bondage Moon and have to admit I had to look up flaggelaters. Not for me, Ill stick with a good ole fashioned strip club (if forced to choose one or the other of course).

  8. Cargo…no need to change…I mean whose people who have little cats o 9 tails….aren’t those people called flagellators? leather or seude strips ? Not my cup of tea. But I have seen some of these folks.

  9. Moon, not to shock you, but, go check out the dark side of the internet…..

flagellators are tame……people get involved with horsewhips.

On second thought, keep your innocence. Its sweet.

  10. Wolverine

This is so funny. The Dems are having great fun calling the RNC the “Risque National Committee.” All this from a party which counts Hugh Heffner and Larry Flynt among it most loyal supporters. Even funnier that this club, the Voyeur West Hollywood, is located in the 30th Congressional District presided over long-term by a certain Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-CA). Waxman’s district stretches from Malibu to Santa Monica, from Pacific Palisades to Hollywood and includes the wealthy enclaves of Belair and Beverly Hills. The Voyeur is, indeed, a “destination” much cited in the blogs and gossip pages of major papers for its very lavish and expensive decor, it’s high cost (the RNC expenditure has been cited elsewhere as the average cost of a table for the night), and as a sure place to see and be seen in the entertainment milieu. I saw a photo spread for just one night with pix of Deryck Whibley, Brody Jenner, Tyrese Gibson, Lukas Haas, Mickey Rourke, and Aria Crescendo. Given the nature of Waxman’s entertainment-heavy Hollywood district, I am willing to bet that 9 out 10 customers of the club are Obama and Waxman supporters. The guys who founded and run the club are graduates of Cornell’s famous hotel school. In fact, the Cornell Alumni Club of Los Angeles held one of its functions there last year I guess the Dems CAN rally laugh at this. Somebody in the RNC got snookered into visiting the kind of lair that would seem better to fit the lifestyle and mentality of their big Hollywood supporters.

  11. You know, its an easy thing to poke some fun at. Would that the wars between democrat and republican stopped at something this silly. I expect this is probablysomething just better to be laughed at, then move on.

Cargo, it could be one of those pony people!

  12. Bear

I think you folks have missed the point! Is that an appropriate expenditure for the people who donated to the GOP? They weren’t using any of my money but if I was one of the people who donated, I would not be happy.

  13. Good point, Bear. I didn’t go along those lines because I would not donate to Republicans. But if if the wallet fairy blew out my brains and I did such a thing, then I would not like it at all. For sure!

  14. punchak

    I agree with Bear.

The uproar isn’t about Eagle fledglings going to the club. It’s about the use of donated money that’s supposed to be spent to further the Republican goals. As for Michael Steel, his ego and self aggrandization and self importance is disgusting. Private jets and limos for his travels! He has spent way more than he has been able to scare up for the RNC. Like Bear I would not be happy, as a matter of fact, I’d be damned mad.

Wolverine: The fact that Waxman lives in the district. What does that have to do with Republicans or Democrats being customers ? Of course some of his constituents go there. And – who are all those people you list? I don’t recognize a single one. Oh, well, I don’t read either Hefner’s or Flynt’s mags.

  15. Apparently, the money is being reimbursed by the persons that spent it.

    friggin idiots. shoulda used cash.

    I mean, horrors.

  16. I agree with Cargosquid. I could care less where they go, even the little Eagles. Just use your own money. There is no free lunch. It is exactly the same way I feel about misuse of govt. credit cards. I think the problem is young, overly zealous people who just haven’t yet acquired wisdom to go along with that fervor.

  17. Family Reseach council is now all going ape crap over this. Young Eagles have been shut down. I guess that was an RNC group, not part of Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Forum.

So bring in all the young people who did something stupid, kick the snot of out them, teach them that scandals like bondage-gate don’t play well in politics, especially when then ‘
enemy will never let you live it down plus it will have a life of its own…and then move on.

Before long, I am going to defend Michael Steele and the Young Eagles, whoever the hell they are. They were stupid. We get it. I don’t want to defend Michael or the Eagles but I think I am going to have to.

  18. Wolverine

Punchak — Waxman’s district covers a large swath of the area of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County where the entertainment industries (movie and music) are centered and where many of the performers live. Voyeur is a swanky and expensive place that poor guys like me could never afford in a million years. I probably couldn’t even afford to look in the door. The elite of stage and screen in that area always flock to a place like that to have fun and be “seen” in public in a place where the security for them is good. The pix of the Voyeur customers I mentioned? Tabloid photogs always cluster around a place like that looking for some good candid shots. Those people I mentioned represented just one night of shooting pix of Voyeur VIP customers.

I think it is pretty evident that a very huge percentage of the Hollywood types are liberal Dems. In fact the whole district is pretty liberal, which is why nobody even dreams that the Repubs have a chance to dethrone Waxman in 2010. The high rollers in the entertainment business can afford Voyeur. Hence my little jab about the customers likely being Obama and Waxman supporters. Bet if you went there and took a poll on any given night, the poll would reflect that. And me? I just love to pull a liberal’s leg in jest whenever I see the opportunity. I think this whole thing is a riot. Probably be forgotten tomorrow.

  19. Starryflights

Republicans are a bunch of perverts.

  20. Wolverine

Up the tree and down the tree,
    And right back up again,
    The little squirrel scampers
    With the greatest of acumen.

But the eagle is sharpening his talons,
    While the dragon hones his claws;
    And the poor little squirrel
    Suddenly misses a branch
    And sadly slips and falls.

That poor little squirrel with footing so sure
Has made us sad and blue.
Where once he was a pesky critter,
    Now he is only stew.

  21. Starry, these were the YOUNG Eagles. They were beginners. So, they should be called PREverts.

  22. PREverts? Bwaaahahahahaha

Who are the young eagles? Anyone know?

I am not horrified where they were. Big deal. I don’t think it was probably that pervy of a place from what I have read. The impropriety was paying for it on someone else’s dime, not the club activities. They could have done the same thing in a sports bar. Equal impropriety.

  23. Poor Richard

Heading the most read article list in this morning’s
Richmond Times-Dispatch is the story of a strip bar located
in a Chesterfield S.C. mobile home that offered lap dances for $5.

    – Police found a “bunch of guys sitting in folding chairs around a pole
in the living room, the youngest was 12” – For $5 give
Jr. a spring break to remember?

    – Sadly for reporters, Gov. Sanford wasn’t spotted. Although he could
have touted the economy of a trip to SC . Think more GOPers
are ticked about the waste of 2K than sex shows. The “Eagles” could all
have had fun in SC for a total of maybe $100. Forget Hollywood –
    think Chesterfield, S.C. !

  24. Too funny, Poor Richard.

I guess the Eagle-ettes could have gotten more bang for their buck. <----------------- the Devil made me say that. I just need to find out more about the young eagles. Was the woman who was fired a young eagle or an old eagle who was in charge of the flock?

  25. I am having way too much fun over these darn eagles. I am not particularly judgemental about them. They are young. They will learn. Their sin was not using their own money.

I can just see a whole gang of neatly dressed young Republican men, dress shirts and ties, neat short haircuts, out being…eagles. You can spot them a mile away.

  26. Wolverine

I think the young gal who was fired may have been an “Eagle Scout.”
