“At a John McCain rally in Woodbridge, Virginia, three people handed out “Obama for Change” bumper stickers with the Communist sickle and hammer and the Islamic crescent, saying Obama was a socialist with ties to radical Islam. Several moderate McCain supporters, Muslim and Christian alike, struck back – relentlessly bombarding the group distributing the flyers until they left the premises.”

A huge thank you to Fontbonne for finding this video and for bringing it to my attention for posting.
Several video threads have been posted about outrageous speech coming from McCain supporters. Well, here we go again, you might be thinking.
Not so fast. You will get to see McCain supporters running off 3 someones who are peddling hate. It really made me proud, Prince William Proud, to see these moderate McCain supporters standing up for what is right.
Enjoy, This is a good one and thanks again Fontbonne.
Posting As Pinko, you mentioned the recent news about Governor Palin charging the state of Alaska over $21,000 for her children’s travel. Is it misuse of state funds? Well, that’s up to the citizens of Alaska. But on the surface, does it look proper? No way. Just my opinion.
But when it comes to Palin and outrageous expenditures of money, I just read a report (click here to read) that the Republican National Committee has spent over $150,000 since early September to “clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family.”
From the report:
This is wholly unacceptable, and disgusting. I should mention that if McCain, Obama, and/or Biden had similar outrageous expenditures for vanity, they deserve to be equally criticized.
If candidates are to have us believe they relate to the Joe Plumbers of the world, then their words on the scene should be matched with consistent actions behind the scenes.
Because I doubt most ordinary Americans can afford to spend $150,000 in the span of two months on beauty, clothing, and accessories. And certainly not during a time of increasing national economic hardship.
Jeeze, $150,000? For cute outfits?!!???! I’m glad I didn’t donate any money to the GOP this year!
That’s a great point you make, Robb Pearson, about Palin saying she relates to Joe Plumber, yeah right! Joe Plumber only makes $250,000 a year.
If I was forced to make due with only $250,000 a year, I would spend $100,000 on cute outfits, tops!
Red Dawn,
My understanding, which could be WAY wrong, is that Muslim=people, while Islamic=other things related to the faith. Even though the two are used interchangeably by most (at least in this country), we may actually be failing to make a distinction.
Robb,
You point out some serious errors in judgement on behalf of the Party and Palin. Palin’s predecessor said he could think of no reason during his 8 years as Alaska’s governor that he would have reported on expense reports that his school age children acted in ANY official capacity while he was governor. He also did not take his uninvited children to events and when they were invited, he paid for their expenses.
If Palin really wanted to appeal to the working class, she could have at least gotten her outfits at Banana Republic or the Gap! I think most working class folks think those stores are pretty expensive, let alone Neiman’s or Sak’s! I guess they couldn’t have Palin standing next to Cindy McCain in clothes from a non name designed. But at least I doubt (although maybe it should be investigated), that Cindy had her clothes paid for by anyone but herself!
DG, sort of, but not quite. Islam is the name of the religion and comes straight from Arabic unchanged.
In English anyway, Muslim can be either a noun or an adjective. So you can say “a Muslim” or “the Muslim world.” Islamic is another adjective but never a noun. So, for example, anyone who would call Muslims “the Islamics” would be being illiterate.
On the other hand there is another term, “Islamist,” that has been coined for fundamentalist Muslim activism in the political realm. Here’s an explanation of that from an academic:

So an Islamist is always going to be a Muslim, but a Muslim is not always going to be an Islamist! Plus there are plenty of nominal Muslims just as there are plenty of nominal Christians. Confused yet? 🙂

Holy SHIT! That is absolutely DISGUSTING!!!! Someone should send these people the message that people would respect them more if they bargain shopped instead of carrying on like Wall Street Moguls.
Think of all the poor these a-holes could feed just with their CLOTHING money!
That literally makes me SICK SICK SICK.
…and there are plenty of European and American people who have converted to the Muslim religion. These aren’t “Islamic” people either.
Hello:
“Hi Moon-howler, thanks for posting this video. It’s refreshing to see something like this, I bet you will never see anything like this in the media. Also, what about reports of Obama supporters vandalizing cars with McCain stickers or intimidating them? Like this one from PG County:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/11/AR2008101101465_pf.html”
You know what…it happens on both sides. I remember 4 years ago when plenty of Kerry/edward signs were stolen from front lawns and stickers vandalized. I even remember seeing fottage of two bush “supporters” tearing down lawn signs at night on the news. So, yes – vandalism is bad. But let’s not pretend Obama supporters are the only ones doing it. Seems as if Mr. Farrell’s Obama sign (the big one) “disappeared” from his business in “proudly conservative” manassas.

Better yet: Salvation Army and thrift stores.
So much for fiscal conservatism. Hypocrite.
DB:
“You know religion really, REALLY needs to be left out of this entire election.”
Ah-frigginmen to THAT!
PWConservative”
“Most Muslims share many of our Conservative Values like Respecting the Right to Life. It is Islamic Extremism that is the catalyst for all the hate.”
LOL….yes, you conservatives are so christian and tolerant and respecting of life. How many pregnant Iraqi women have died in your quest to fight “terra”? How many born children? Yeah – I’m from Buffalo, NY and let me tell you, I’ve seen you people who adore life rally around and hide James Kopp who gunned down Barnett Slepian in his home. Yes, you’re all about “life” until they’re born, or unless they live in a questionable part of the world.
Spare me your “concern for life”
I wonder what fine charities will be getting those snazzy clothes?
All of those clothes and traveling with the kids when not invited and not going along at an official capacity is absolutely sickening. I’m sure glad I’m not a tax payer of Alaska.
If the McCain camp were to win the election, will the entire nation be footing the bill for her to look the part.
This is from the article I’ve put the link up for below.
But a top McCain campaign staff member later told FOX News, “With all of the important issues facing the country right now, its remarkable that we’re spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses. It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign.”

CNN showed this footage at some length last night – I think in the 8:00 hour? Some know-it-all female commentator – Campbell Brown might be the name?
Hey Hello…and PWConservative
Evidence of McCain supporters stealing Obama signs…
Seems as if their whole neighborhood was plagued with theft from intolerant McCain supporters they all set up surveillance cameras…

No me,
I wonder if the woman wanted the sign for herself or if she hates Obama and doesn’t want him to win the election. I can almost…operative word being almost…understand the former, but not the latter.
