Hey Turn PW Blue, now you can add “turn VA blue” to your Moniker!!!!!! Wow, Virginia, since 1964, prior to desegregation, has not voted Democratic. And look at us now, putting our first African American in the executive office, take my keys Poor Richard, I must be drunk!

9 Thoughts to “OBAMA WINS VIRGINIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Way to go, “Turned PW Blue”!

Obama is elected president. I can’t stop my tears of joy! I can’t believe it; I am so happy. Much love to you all!

I am watching McCain giving his concession right now. Well written…

A good concession speech by John McCain.

    But – Yippeeee!!!!!!!

  4. IVAN

Congrats everyone. Enjoy the moment. There’s still alot of work to be done. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a few local elections coming up in a few months?

  5. Obama promised to leave Iraq. One brigade a month. Let’s hold him to it.

While I am thrilled with the election results, I’m also realistic enough to know that one election is not a trend. I’m amazed that Virginia went blue not only for President, but also Senate and, if the leads hold, for the House (6 of 11 Virginia House races look like they’ve been won by Democrats with Connolly, Nye, and Perriello representing a party switch). So, there is much for Virginia Democrats to be happy about. But, as long as Corey Stewart, Jeff Frederick, Scott Lingamfelter, Jackson Miller, and (especially) Bob Marshall can say they represent the people of Prince William, I won’t change from present to past tense on the “Turn.” *G*

But, as IVAN says, now is the time for the real work to begin.

I am really looking foreward to next year when Jackson Miler runs for re-election on the HSM ticket. Unfortunately, there is 3 yrs. to wait for the PWC BOCS elections.

I also can’t wait to see Corey Letiecq Stewart and John Letiecq Stirrup get bounced out of here. But Jackson Letiecq Miller will be a worthy appetizer in 2009.

Good points Turn PW. I am at least hopeful that sanity and thoughtfulness has replaced the easy path of hatred and division. It’s a start and I hope in three years, no matter whether we elect R’s or D’s, they will have taken a few cues from President Obama, taking the road that brings us together will reap more rewards than the road that separates us.
