Joran van der Sloot may get his just desserts after all.  Van der Sloot was investigated time and time again over the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, the Alabama teen who disappeared her last night on Aruba while on a high school senior trip.  Holloway was never found.  Van der Sloot and his pals were held by authorities several times, along with his father, an aspiring judge.  The Arubans never had the evidence to charge van der Sloot, regardless of American outrage and pressure brought to bear by the American press and Natalee Holloway’s family.

\Now, another young Peruvian woman has turned up dead in van der Sloot’s hotel room in Lima.  Caught on camera, the last person Stephany Flores was seen alive with was none other than van der Sloot.  Van der Sloot was captured in a taxi, in Chili.  He went with the authorities  without incident.

Earlier this year, Paulus van der Sloot basically dropped dead on a tennis court, quite unexpectedly.  According to Greta Van Susteren  of Fox News:

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: There’s news tonight on Aruba involving the Natalee Holloway case. As you know, the Alabama teenager vanished on May 30th, 2005 while in Aruba on a high school trip.

The chief suspect in the case is Joran van der Sloot. Yesterday Joran’s father Paulus van der Sloot suddenly and unexpectedly died. Paulus was a huge part of this case. Joining us by phone in Aruba is Julia Renfro, editor and chief of “Aruba Today.” Good evening, Julia, and tell me what happened with Paulus?

JULIA RENFRO, EDITOR, “ARUBA TODAY” (Via Telephone):Good evening, Greta. It was very shocking for the van der Sloot family and the entire community of Aruba. Paul was playing tennis yesterday and he collapsed. And the ambulance was unfortunately unable to resuscitate him.

Seems a little odd that young women end up missing or dying around this man.  Best he be put away for a long long time before he harms someone else.  Perhaps being off the island of Arbua and away from those who can make him less accountable will do the trick.  Will van der Sloot weasel out of this one or will he go to prison for the rest of his life?  I suppose it all depends on how strict Peruvian law is and how much pressure the Dutch apply to his case.

16 Thoughts to “Young Mr. Joran van der Sloot May Get His Just Deserts”

  1. If he’s convicted, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Just think, he could have been out already on parole for the Dutch murder. They are very lenient. Peru…..not so much. Third world prison. Rich blond boy.

Hey! Does anyone else here banjos?

  2. Wolverine

“Sloot” is Netherlandic for “ditch.” “Joran from the Ditch.” Mayhap he will wind up digging ditches for the rest of his life on a Peruvian chain gang.

  3. Rick Bentley

And here’s the sad part. Know where he got the money for his trip to Peru?

By offering to tell Natalie Holloway’s mom “the truth” about Natalie’s death, and she wired him $15,000. Strange but true.

  4. Or maybe he will just face a firing squad. What is it the Peruvians say? AMF?

Wolverine, is that true? re Ditch?

  5. TWINAD

Rick, really? I hadn’t heard that.

Maybe killing that girl was his sick message to Natalie’s mom. He needs to rot in hell.

  6. Oh Rick, how horrible. Where did you see that? I expect Holloway’s mother probably doesn’t have much spare cash after what they have been through.

  7. Pat.Herve

Yes, the $15K was a partial payment for the details on Natilie – http://blog.al.com/spotnews/2010/06/joran_van_der_sloot_suspect_in_1.html

It is a shame that a wealthy kid is so screwed up, and his family wealth always tries to bail him out. His father died in the past year, so things may be different now. Did he actually think he could get away with this one – the victim was found in his room.

  8. Was that extortion charge part of a sting? Did he really think Beth Holloway Twitty would not turn his sorry ass in? I expect she would kill him with her bare hands if she could. Didn’t he do some chest thumping at her when she arrived in Aruba?

What a scum bag that boy is.

  9. punchak

Bet Cochran esq. could him off, were he still alive!

  10. punchak

    “could get him off..”

  11. Probably. Everyone has a price. The more money one has the less chance they will be convicted.

  12. Rick Bentley

I saw that on Greta Van Sustren’s show last night,w hen I flipped past it.

  13. Wolverine

That’s right, Moon. His name translates to “from the ditch.” Up until an edict was issued by Napoleon when the French were in control of Holland, many Dutchmen, especially in the lower classes, did not use surnames. They used first names and middle names, with the latter being a variant of their father’s first name. When they were obliged to take surnames, many simply made up a name related to the place where they lived or worked:

Van der Berg = from the mountain.
Van der Weg = from the road or path
Van der Laan = from the avenue
Van der Molen = from the mill
Van der Sloot = from the ditch

  14. Rick, Greta was on that like a pitbull. She was relentless. I give her full credit for her efforts there. I wish I had seen the show. I bet she tries to go into Peru to go after that little bastard.

Wolverine- very interesting. Thanks. I had no clue about that.

  15. Captain Idiot-Face

This guy is lower than Whale-Crap, and honestly, I hope they keep Hell hot for him.

  16. I am actually glad that he was caught in a country that isn’t known for its protection of human rights. slap slap.
