I’ve missed Jon Stewart. Maybe I have been off, but I don’t think he has been particularly funny. Last Wednesday was a different story. I was just out of commission and didn’t get it posted.

The more I hear about McChrystal, the more I think it might have been for the best. There were some incompatibilities there. The most shocking part of the segment is Gretchen Carlson’s delusions of grandeur. Now that is scary. Does she really that taken with her own self-importance?

UFB. Totally amazing.

9 Thoughts to “Gretchen as Important as the Prez”

  1. Second-Alamo

Come to think of it, what are the written qualifications to be president? I bet they’re extremely minimal at best. Lets face it, if you are popular and know nothing you still could be voted in. Just look at what happened in SC, and he wasn’t even popular, just the first name on the ballot. We have to take a test before we are allowed to drive a car. Perhaps people need to show some knowledge about both candidates before they are allowed to vote. I know many who voted for Obama knew only one think, and that was all that was needed to boost an unknown into the top spot. It’s not what you know, but who you know (or can convince).

    thing not think…….grrrrrrrrr!

  3. How about the parent test?

I just couldn’t believe how stupid she sounded and what I really couldn’t believe is that she didn’t think she sounded stupid. That is one I will never forget.

  4. Rick, are you out there? How was your vacation?

  5. George S. Harris

If you could buy her for what she is worth and sell her for what she thinks she is worth, you could make a fortune. Same thing for many other talking heads.

  6. Wonderful point, George.

    Re Gretchen Carlson

    – go to Jon Stewart’s Daily Show dated Dec. 8, 2009, where he states that he thinks she’s dumbing herself down to connect with her not so bright audience. Valedictorian of her hi school class, a Stanford grad, studied at Oxford (not Mississippi) and played classical violin in the talent show for Miss America or something like that.

As for Fox women – they have two of the nastier ones on the air in Megyn Kelly and Carlson.

I agree M.H. :I just couldn’t believe how stupid she sounded and what I really couldn’t believe is that she didn’t think she sounded stupid. That is one I will never forget.
“A Smart Lady Meat in a Dufas Sandwitch” ….Priceless!
