9500Liberty will present a special screening to mark the 1st anniversary of Prince William County’s Immigration Resolution.

Thursday July 10th, 7:00 PM
Casablanca Restaurant 7911 Centreville, RD, Manassas, VA

9500Liberty is cutting together an hour-long presentation featuring recent events, many of which are too politically sensitive to share on YouTube. The screening will challenge some of the misleading rhetoric that has been circulating in recent days and weeks, and will include some surprising footage that could shift Prince William County’s political landscape for the better.

We hope to see you there! Make sure to invite your friends!

375 Thoughts to “A Special Screening of 9500 Liberty Documentary”

  1. NotGregLetiecq

I hope they have something to counter Corey Stewart’s misleading rhetoric about crime statistics. The man is so ridiculous. It’s almost as if he wants the Duecaster Disaster to spread…

  2. elvis

    Nice,

again another mexican restaurante, in fact the same one that Mexicans WIthout Borders uses all the time for their little events. more “proof” that elena and crowd cater to the illegals. hilarious really, just goes to show how much elena and crew are a bunch of flat out liars.

  3. elvis

I like how they mention some surprise “footage”, the only surprise is how much eric byler and crew edit the video to their/your favor.

challenge misleading rhetoric? the only misleading rhetoric is on this blog and by the blog owners no less.

  4. Censored bybvbl

Wow, Elvis, I hope you’re not a defense lawyer. Ha ha – better stick to patents, contracts, etc. I hope no one untoward ever eats at the same restaurant as you do. Otherwise, you’ll be smeared with the same broad brush and faulty logic.

Why not show up and take Moon-howler up on her drink offer and offer your own critique after watching the video?

  5. Elena

p.s. Elvis, the owner is Korean, not that it should matter.

  6. NotGregLetiecq

Make that Korean American. But still brown, right Elvis?

  7. Jedi Master Yoda

hmmmm….stroking chin….perhaps Elvis wants to be the anglo MWB representative.

Would that be the Mexican Korea or the other Korea that owner is from?

    Elvis a lawyer? SNORT!

  8. Poor Richard

Have come to realize that much of the immigration controversy debate
in PWC/Manassas is fueled by hustlers trying to ride a wave to meet
their own needs – ten minutes of fame, ego pumping, to be “somebody” –
Greg, Corey, Fernandez, the Liberty St. film duo, assorted media folks –
looking for the Big Ride. No empathy, insight or vision. They don’t
care about our community – they just want to use it – to seek THEIR
fame and fortune. Solutions don’t serve their interest – continuing
    conflict does. Sad.

  9. Chris

    Poor Richard,
    Well said, sir!

Solutions don’t serve their interest – continuing
    conflict does. Sad.

My teenager and mother returned from Wal-Mart this morning. My daughter came in and said this to me. “Mom, I’ve just seen the funniest and scariest thing ever.” I said “What on earth could make for a statement like that.” She said “We just came back from Wal-Mart(Manassas-PWC)and you won’t believe what we saw. You need to go see for yourself.” I said “I have NO interest in seeing that. I’ve seen it with “my own two eyes” and NO THANKS!”. She said “Mom, I really think someone’s is going to get hurt.”
I don’t want my child to have to see either group, let alone both groups “hanging out” at the Coverstone 7-11. This deeply saddens me to no end.

  10. Why are the Hate Bunnies so restless? Already on the attack and they don’t even know what the surprise is. That’s a lot like leaving Hate Bunny droppings without bothering to watch the video. You guys are too predictable. Why don’t you go to the screening Poor Elvis and then complain? Korean and Mexican American people aren’t that bad if you get to know them.

  11. Chris

    WHWN,
Not enough want to take the time to get to know those that aren’t exactly like them.
I guess some know it all and don’t feel the need to learn anymore. 😉

  12. Mackie

    I think Elvis is Greg.

  13. I saw a statistic stating that the top 5 immigrant groups in Virginia are Salvadorian, Mexican, Korean, Filipino, and Indian. All of them are not like us when they arrive, but if you get to know them, they are all great people. You have to go out of your way to avoid diversity in this day and age.

  14. Elvis doesn’t sound sophisticated enough to be Greg. Is Greg clever enough to dumb down his comments to pretend multiple people share his views?

  15. junkyard dog

    Elvis,

Were you out there prancing around with the Order of the Red Circle this morning? Were you the fat boy or the one with chicken legs?

  16. 143000

    junkyard dog, 5. July 2008, 21:48

The only “fat boy” there was John Steinbach.

  17. Mackie

Eric and Annabel better be careful what they say in their movies and who they corrupt with their free speech. If they say the wrong thing, they might be classified as homegrown terrorists soon.

    Elvis,
Spoiled alert! The surprise is that Corey and Greg are illegal aliens!

  19. Rob2155, I don’t remember where it was, but I hope you know I was kidding around when I said you were a whipper-snapper : ) Plus, I saw your reply that somebody had tried to criticize you based on your age, with the quotes that prove it.

So, I was the referee who whistles the player who retaliates because he didn’t see the initial infraction. Sorry!

  20. Mackie

How long before those who seek to protect undocumented immigrants are labeled as homegrown terrorists? Remember, some of the 9-11 attackers had expired visas…

HR1955 passed 400-6 in the House. That’s the Democrats for you. Cowards.

    ———————-

No offense taken, I probably deserved it… As I said, I was raised a little differently, by mother is from a very old Southern MD family and she was often told to respect her elders no matter how vile and abusive they were to her, she was told to keep quiet…and of course she told me how terrible that was for her, so she never held me to the same commandment, only that I would give respect where respect is given.

My father on the other hand is from a very old family from Baltimore, he grew up with the same unconditional respect for elders…that is until he was 22 when he became a civil rights worker in Mississippi. Over there his elders literally tried to kill him with shotguns for attempting to drive African Americans to polls. When he applied to the Army during the Vietnam conflict, he was one of the few young people who had already experienced what it was like to be shot at in anger before basic training….and of course he once again raised me to respect those who show due respect, but to fight those who long to enslave, limit or take human life for evil purpose.

So after someone proves to be disrespectful to others and to me, I don’t mince words, but I do apologize if my words feel like they were personally attacking you. I have a friend who lives like a hermit in Fort Valley VA. He is a genius and is the greatest Christian I know (should mean a lot coming from a Muslim). He’s in his 80’s now and is a man for whom I have a lot of respect. He has gone a little blind, but his knowledge of marshal arts surpasses most peoples in this country and I know he would kick my ass easily today if he had reason to.

Anyway, i hope to meet some of you characters on Thursday. All the other parties have been a little too far away for me to reach on Friday night rush-hour coming from Herndon, but I will really try and go out of my way for this one. I will probably be wearing my trademark Scottish bow moral hat with old clan crest.

I wonder if the Order of the Red Circle will try and picket the event? If he does, some random conservative blogs may start getting weekly e-mails of a new political cartoon series called “Gospel Greg”

  22. Mackie, My mom said she was pulled over in broad daylight at a state police check point in Sterling. They only instructed her to flash her driver’s license, then told her to move on. I did not know that sobriety checkpoints happened in broad daylight, but even then, they usually put out signs so sober drivers have a choice of avoiding them.

I don’t think this was a sobriety check point, I think the state is screening citizens for “Something.”

  23. Oh BTW this happened yesterday….

You know when information is compiled to show only one view point in a situation it is defined as propaganda. Look it up. This is exactly what will be shown, and is no different than a video version of this or any other biased blog. Why would one consider it a source of eye opening information if they didn’t already have an opinion? Preaching to the crowd I say.

  26. “Preaching to the crowd I say.”

So that means you won’t be in it.

BVBL should protest by screening a movie of their own, I suggest “Triumph of the Will” by Leni Riefenstahl….a document of how the peoples of one nation were brought together by a powerful leader to become the Greatest Nation on the face of the earth and it’s people the greatest Race on the face of the earth.

You could also try “Jesus Camp” I’m sure there is nothing in it that any of you would disagree with.

  27. SecondAlamo

” they usually put out signs so sober drivers have a choice of avoiding them.”

Are you kidding me? So SOBER drivers can avoid them? The purpose of a surprise check point is to catch people who are under the influence, not warn them so THEY can avoid the check point. That would be an inefficient waste of time.

  28. SecondAlamo

You folks like to refer to Hitler from time to time, so don’t you think he employed a few documentaries of his own? Effective only if the masses accept all presented, and don’t or are afraid to question the same. Luckily in this day and time the internet prevents any information from being suppressed for any length of time whether good or bad. It’s easier for people to review both sides propaganda and decide which ones they won’t believe. Presenting propaganda in a form that looks to be honest truth is the skill required to convince those not personally involved. Problem is many people are commenting from personal experience, and no amount of propaganda will change that experienced view!

rod2155, do you know exactly where this took place? If it was not a sobriety checkpoint then I think they violated your Mom’s 4th amendment rights. The police cannot stop you without probable cause to believe you have committed a crime. Did they have dogs sniffing cars?

  30. Moon-howler

    SA,

Would you prefer that I take the HSM propaganda? I think most people here have enough sense to examine material and pull out what they like and discard what they don’t like. I don’t think Liberty spews any more propaganda than you do. Plus they party. So let’s see here…Order of the Red Circle vs 9500 Liberty Street?

By the way, to you belong to HSM? I don’t think you have ever said. I don’t belong to any groups.

Will you be coming out to taste their flavor of kool aid? It really would be better if you are going to criticize if you see it for yourself first hand.

  31. SecondAlamo

    Moon,

No, I’m not a member of any group. As I say, I’m commenting from personal observations and experiences. I stated that both sides use propaganda. How much more unbiased of a post can I present? You’re applying your bias to me personally without any proof, and this is exactly what makes people not want to believe that which is presented. It’s better to ask questions than present unsubstantiated answers.

  32. Juturna

“You folks like to refer to Hitler from time to time” ????????????????????????????????????????
    You sound like Mr. Fernandez.

  33. SecondAlamo

I was referring to the pro-illegal supporters just as clarification.

  34. Juturna

Thank you, becuase I am not one, generally. I am for some and not for others. I am for those that are still waiting for paperwork to be completed – requested a passport lately? I am for those that are here seeking political asylum. You are not?

  35. SecondAlamo

    Juturna,

I agree with you. I have compassion only for those who seek to become US citizens through the legal process no matter how lengthy. I was thinking the other day, I a bunch of illegal supporters had been standing in a 45 minute line for a ride at King’s Dominion and a family of illegals jumped in at the head of the line I bet they would be outraged. So why not the outrage at the same unfairness when they jump in line ahead of those coming to this country legally? They totally avoid this point!

  36. Censored bybvbl

SA, even Gospel Greg was glad to cooperate with 9500liberty when he thought it was serving up a positive view of him and HSM. He was the one who drew attention to the “sending them home with love” philosophy which he’d espoused. He started the thread at BVBL and featured that video, if I remember correctly. Only when his own supporters started saying ,”whoa…” did he change his mind and lock the thread (again, if I remember correctly). He shot himself in the foot by saying what he’d said. He didn’t get the support of his followers that he had counted on and now he’s blaming the camera crew instead of the orator.

Why don’t you attend the screening? If you have questions, ask them.

  37. Juturna

I was just commenting on the generality of your statements. I wouldn’t like anyone that jumped me in line at Kings Dominion or becoming a citizen or at the car wash. I try to take illegal or race or other ‘modifiers’ out of the equation when I evaluate things in an attempt to ethically analyze the situation. Regardless, bad behaviour is bad behaviour. You shouldn’t medicalize it or rationalize it. Not good for the violator – they will never learn.

It’s like the sign. It’s simply ugly. Don’t care what it says. It’s ugly and is in violation of something I am sure.

Good manners to all will save us all in the long run………

  38. I LOVE Wal-Mart! I go in there and it feels like the United Nations!

Now….Wal-Mart has an abusive side, I know, but the employees tend to fight that. Wal-Mart (like Bill Gates) does do a lot of good, but there is bad with the good whenever you have a huge, international corporation. That is an entirely different discussion.

I’m not exactly sure what Chris’s daughter SAW but I’ve seen altercations break out in parking lots at restaurants, bars, stores, you name it, and they are always a mixed bag of pissed-off people. Such is life. Idiocy doesn’t limit itself to one race, color or creed. It DOES seem to thrive specifically in human beings, however….

  39. Moon-howler

    SA,

Actually I responded to your 8:25 post and I didn’t see any reference to other groups. Sorry. Sometimes my comments sit unsent if I get distracted.

I did ask you questions and you did not answer them. I base what I wrote to you on reading many of your posts and exchanging both pleasantries and debate with you. I don’t think that is bias as much as personal experience.

How have I mischaracterized? I have never even accused you of being Tom Kopko.

  40. Juturna

KG -I consider Wal-Mart the worst of the worst of maintaining a slave worker mentality. I NEVER shop there because of that!!! Funny how we see things.

  41. Juturna

….. and I am still gasping at comparing Wal-Mart with Bill Gates……..

  42. Chris

    K-
My daughter witnessed the day laborers and Crime Prevention Team of HSM at the Coverstone 7-11. She said both groups looked foolish, and this coming from a teenager. I hope this clarifies. Her comments had nothing to with Wal-Mart.

  43. Bring it On

I agree with CensoredbyBVBL, I believe Elvis is doing patent, contract work; ie Corey.

  44. Alanna

    PoorRichard,
I disagree with your assessment that there is something to be gained by dragging this out. Personally, there are a million other things that I’d prefer to be doing than dealing with this non-sense. And, I suspect Annabel and Eric also have a list of projects that they’d like to do. We all would like to put this ugly episode behind us and move on but can we do it without any reconciliation?

Also, it’s evident that Stewart etc…, want to spin this by claiming some sort of victory so that neighboring jurisdictions would implement similar policies. Sorry, but that’s not something I’m comfortable with.

Additionally, as long as HSM has a foothold in our community we had better remain vigilante, to do any less would be foolish.

  45. junkyard dog

If Elvis is Corey then he needs to get back to work and stop blogging so much. This county doesn’t need an official sitting on his duff blogging when it is falling down around us. 7000 foreclosures! 7000 vacant houses!

Corey needs to roll up his sleeves and arrange for the garbage to be taken off the back deck of a house in Westgate/Sudley that was vacated back in early May. It is probably rat infested now.

It will take the county a good ten years to recover from this. No, it isn’t all Corey’s fault. There were wheels in motion in the financial world that not even the great Mr. Stewart could have stopped. However, did he make things better or worse by his political pandering to those who might re-elect him? Feel free to comment. Da Dawg has spoken.

  46. Chris

Elvis said he was at the court house daily. He wrote of the range of people he saw there. I would think Elvis was talking about PWC court house. Corey’s firm is in DC. Of course, anyone can be anything they want in their “cyberminds”.

    JD,
That house is health hazard at this point. It’s been turned in for it’s trash heap on the back porch. The time has come someone MUST pick that crap up. It should’ve been done a good month ago, even given due process.

I would like to let you know I’ve heard we have fox here in WestGate. This is a huge health issue. This thing could be rabid. If there’s a fox in the neighborhood do you think they after chickens. I’ve not seen and/or heard any since the ones were at the end of my street last fall. Animal Control has been in the area a fair amount lately. They(friend) also asked had I seen the domestic rabbits sunny themselves on KG. I told them yes I have. My daughter pointed them out to me one day.

  47. Emma

KG, Wal-mart is hard to love but I know hard to resist because of the low prices. I remember when Wal-mart took pride in advertising “Made in the USA” on all their merchandise. Now many of their goods are produced by near slaves in China for wages of just a few dollars a day. They have swallowed up small business, added traffic congestion and ugliness wherever they have planted themselves. Unfortunately, when you’re already spending $4 a gallon for gasoline, those cheap goods are mighty attractive.

And I don’t celebrate going to Wal-mart as if it were a mini United Nations. Many of the cashiers there speak so little English that they say absolutely nothing to you during the entire transaction–no greeting, no telling you the price, no thank you, no smile, nothing, no matter how pleasant you are to them. Is it the wages they are being paid? The minimal–or nonexistent–healthcare they receive, or just a feeling that they are needed so desperately that they don’t have to worry about customer service? I especially love being sent through a torturous Customer Service line to fix a mistake THEY make at the register.

When I was in Japan last year, store clerks and restaurant workers were EXTREMELY friendly, even though I don’t speak a word of Japanese and they didn’t speak a word of English to me. Somehow we managed to communicate quite effectively anyway, and they were very patient while I fumbled with my yen. But in my own country, at Walmart, if the credit-card keypad fails just once–as they sometimes do–the non-English-speaking cashier’s eyes are rolling so far back in his/her head that all you see are the whites, while he/she gives you the silent treatment.

I guess Walmart feels you should just be grateful for the cheap merchandise and not expect any courtesy at all, and not even in your own language in your own country. Eventually we will all get used to it and not expect much at all.

  48. Juturna

Well, Corey is clearly not the type to roll up his sleeves and do anything – except pose. He just blusters. … and yells at old men from the dias. I was particularly impressed that he saved his response to the little old lady who asked if closing the adult day care in Woodbridge would be next until the end of the meeting. He then yelled at Mr. Wills in the middle of citizens time.

A little respect, sir…… a little respect for the people and the rules.

Yup, right back to good manners.

  49. Juturna

    Emma

I agree completely with that post about Walmart. Their philosphy is not mine. I am proud to be from New England where folks will go to Benny’s or any other Mom and Pop and pay a few cents more rather than support those huge chains that simply destroy everything in sight – while basically enslaving their employees.

We went to buy carpet yesterday from Shaw’s in Dale City. They were closed due to the holiday weeked. They WILL get our business for their philosophy.

  50. Poor Richard

    Alanna,
My desire is not to “drag this out” but to get out of the ditch we are
in with both sides featuring the antics of self-serving people. Another Liberty St.
propoganda film won’t help anymore than Greg’s typical rantings.
There needs to less acting out and shouting and more solution
focused talking – and that solution must work for the greater community –
not just the radical extremes of both sides.
