This is who was attacked as a “Communist clique” …
This is who did the attacking:
Which version of Faith do you prefer?
These are two fairly different versions of religion which seem to be in sharp contrast to each other. The second video is a convoluted version of Christianity which endorses a ‘Send them Back with Love’ approach which appears quite different than the atmosphere that was evident at the recent VOICE (Virginians Organized for Interfaith Community Engagement) event.
Here is one of the many offensive comments on a recent Greg Letiecq attack:
Bolstered by communists from Arlington and Alexandria, the large crowd asked Prince William County Chairman Corey Stewart to provide more “affordable housing”, more ESOL classes, and taxpayer-subsidized dental care.
Do you see Communists in this video?
Wow!!! Alanna, thank you soooo much for posting the VOICE video. It’s beautifully done, and wonderfully captures the spirit that was present. I want to share it immediately with others. I know the congregations who were present will love it. Do you know when it will be posted on youtube? I just did a search but it’s not showing up yet.
And comparing it here to the other is more powerful than words could ever convey.
Thank you.
Never mind. I found it!
“Pick Your Version of Faith”
NEITHER. Faith cannot be bought or elected.
Wow, I just saw someone I know from Glasgow Middle School, where I was a counselor. I will tell you, this was an AMAZING video Alanna. I will absolutely not miss their next meeting. What a great message, there is no comparison, simply none. VOICE has a message of unity, a message that urges us to remember we are all interconnected, no matter our personal faith, color, or ethnicity, that might otherwise divide us, but under this message, we are all brought together. I actually feel sorry for Corey, sorry that he clearly missed this opportunity to be a better person, to show us the real Corey that I know exists underneath all that politiKing.
Elena,
“What a great message, there is no comparison, simply none. VOICE has a message of unity, a message that urges us to remember we are all interconnected, no matter our personal faith, color, or ethnicity, that might otherwise divide us, but under this message, we are all brought together.”
I agree and while I had to shut down my computer ONCE again ( virus) I had jotted down a note that FAITH cannot be compromised!
Faith has to be RESPECTED. It is not bought or elected. It can be strengthened or weakened in the process-just like this trying to come together in the COMMON ground of GOOD.
Let’s ALL remember, that as ALL of us would like to come together and have PEACE, we as a NATION have the OBLIGATION to PROTECT our CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!-TO have this FREEDOM to talk about even coming together…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MK08KnewEo
The bottom line is that we have to RESPECT different religions. IF that were POSSIBLE, we would NOT have the need for POLITICS.
The above from my HEART is what I see as truth. Until that is solved, the world will be in conflict.
This is why as a person that leads by my heart, has to be rational in THOUGHT, that until the above conflict of over THOUSANDS of years has and continues to be fought, we CANNOT afford to be part of the process that brings THIS great NATION down for ALL those that seek refuge HERE!!!!
What are we doing to all the families that gave the ULTIMATE donation of LIFE for OUR nation, that makes people want to come here?
God or whoever you believe in has NO borders right? Do you have LITTLE faith, he/she already knows YOUR HEART?
STOP……think and RESPECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I prefer VOICE to Gospel Greg, surprise surprise (didn’t watch the Gospel Greg video again because I couldn’t stomach it).
After seeing this video it is all the more disgusting that Greg called all 2,000 of these people “Communists” yesterday on his blog. There were a lot of other disgusting lies about VOICE, a lot of them disproved by this video.
Also, it is even more clear to me how out of line Corey Stewart was flipping these people the bird.
The first video is about people living their faith. The second video is about one person’s version of what he thinks God thinks.
No one KNOWS what God thinks. It probably never occurs to GL that he could be wrong.
I felt sorry for McCain on several occasions. I just hope he makes decisions that preserve his dignity over the next month. There are some things worse than losing.
I am not a religious man, but I prefer to see spirituality used to do good instead evil.
The people who brought VOICE together should be credited with forging a coalition that is broadly inclusive, bipartisan, and humble in agreeing upon goals that are reachable, unifying, and productive.
The way Letiecq twists the Bible in that video is disgusting. It was the unmasking that spelled the beginning of the end for TheGregNCorey Show’s reign of terror.
In recent months, I have never been one to pass up an opportunity to criticize Corey Stewart. But I must admit his answers were truthful. He could have lied after all.
And while abortion was the core issue that made me a Republican, I have long agonized when I saw the faith and good hearts of Americans abused by politicians who have all together different motives in bringing the issue to the forefront. This is the height of manipulation, and this is what I thought of when I saw Corey Stewart lug the abortion issue into the room in desperation.
Even the great and grand abortion issue cannot save a politician who has lost the faith of his constituents.
Someone obviously needs to invite Greg L. over to view the first video. He needs to see the many people of many faiths coming forward, offering money from their houses of worship for this endeavor.
It is so much easier to hate and call names, especially when done in ignorance. A few examples of such hate and ignorance can be seen from the following excerpts from the black velvet blog:
and…
and…
All these quotes were in regard to V.O.I.C.E. Communists? Give me a break. How insulting. How divisive. Corey needs a new handler if he is going to represent MY county.
UFB!
WHWN, Abortion simply had no place in the discussion that day. It wasn’t on the agenda. I keep thinking about John Stirrup hollering (rather hysterically I might add) “Point of Order, Point of Order!” when John Jenkins tried to make a budget comment last spring.
Corey got booed because:
1. his reputation is bad
2. abortion wasn’t a topic on the agenda
3. He was using it as leverage
4. Not all people of faith agree on abortion and especially its place in politics.
#4 probably had the least to do with the booing.
That first video….so incredibly moving…..so beautiful….so hopeful. So the opposite of all the ugliness we have seen in this county, in our local leaders, and in the hate groups.
I only wish I could have been there.
My God…the hatred and selfishness in this world.
BVBL and CLAN….you shall reap what you sow. And if you distort the real message of you claimed savior, you will reap even more sorrow and destruction.
Blog Action Day is coming….this year, topic is poverty. Sign up now if you have a blog:

This first video is spiritual, and the second video was more in the spirit of a scary holloween.
I think Greg forgot two basic teachings in the Scriptures and what I think God would have us do.
“Love one another as I have loved you” and “What you do unto the least of these you do unto me”. It does not matter whether one is a believer or not everyone should live by these guidelines. They are not rules or laws. They are the ways we should be living.
V.O.I.C.E. is exactly what God wants us to be doing.
The first video is a beautiful evocation of what it was like to be in the room that night. The second video is shockingly distasteful. Greg Letiecq and Corey Stewart should bury that video and never bring it up again. What were they thinking? It offends me to the quick. Any leader, elected or otherwise, who tries to use religion to turn brother against brother is a dangerous false prophet.
The VOICE video brought tears to my eyes. After so much hatred and division in this county, to see the words “Prince William, VA” introduce such a beautiful and soulful gathering just filled me with hope for the future.
Of course, Greg Letiecq is going to call them all communists (how many denominations was it that he’s calling communists by the way). These are the people who have blocked his path to power.
The “Gospel Greg” video was what proved to me that this “Immigration” fight was never really about immigration. It is some strange lust for power and attention that has taken root in Greg Letiecq’s ego and that of Corey Stewart. John Stirrup is somehow lurking in the background most of the time. His motives seem to be more pure, though still distasteful, in that they are racially motivated. What the Gospel Greg video proved was that for Greg, any form of intolerance would do, as long as it gave him power to funnel votes and money to the Republican party.
I think I’ll change my screen name.
Probably a good idea, Posting as Pinko.
My friend tutors 2 lovely Korean ladies who just want to improve their English skills. Here is the information I got from her about the group that provides this service. My friend is a volunteer.
Let’s not forget, a true communist ideology REJECTS religion. Once AGAIN, Greg makes a completely ignorant analogy.
MH,
Thanks for the link!
About ESL: I was surprised to find so much ESL in the county. NOVA has about ten classes for ESL. The public library has classes. Manassas Baptist and other churches.
At Grace UMC we have 100 students this semester. There are maybe two dozen volunteers spending two nights a week teaching English to men and women. One of the volunteers is just enamored with the students.
And in the V.O.I.C.E. video there are plenty of people who took the time to show up and make expressions of togetherness. Between all the ESL volunteers and the people at the V.O.I.C.E. gathering, the number of people must surely outnumber members of HSM.
The sad thing is that the media isn’t going to cover a story about a cotton-topped retiree teaching English to immigrants in a church basement on a Monday night.
Greg Letiecq & Joe McCain call fellow Americans ‘Communists’. It’s disgraceful.
Oh I’m a happy Pinko
but at least I’m not a dinko
the haters hate me and you
and give us a bunch of doo-doo.
What they really can’t see
are the facts from you and me.
So bye-bye ignoramuses
stick it up your anuses!
–this happy ditty brought to you from the Pinkos of Prince William County, now accepting applicants from prospective comrades
“Let’s not forget, a true communist ideology REJECTS religion. Once AGAIN, Greg makes a completely ignorant analogy.”
ROTFLMAO….yep…another intellectual insight from Professor Greg….
Not Me Bubba and Elena,
I agree entirely that Communism and religion are antithetical. But I’m confused by the term “ROTFLMAO”…. Forgive me this is my first blog.
El Guapo said: “Between all the ESL volunteers and the people at the V.O.I.C.E. gathering, the number of people must surely outnumber members of HSM.”
I have seen videos where Help Save Manassas had 100 people at least at one of their meetings. But this was at the height of the Brown Scare last fall. And one thing I noticed about the Help Save Manassas congregation: it was the least diverse least inclusive group of people I have ever seen. Not just that they were all white, but that they were all white and over 60. That’s not what I saw at VOICE. It was all ages, all races, and all religions. I prefer the latter. It’s the 21st century, PWC. Wake up!
Not only is the communist name calling ridiculous, it is outdated. I guess only real gun tottin’ men and their gun tottin’ wimmins are the real capitalists who hoard their money and everyone else is a communist? Does that explain why so many black velvets were against that thar bail-out with their tax dollars? They bury their money in the backyard so no danger of the financial crash touchin’ them. Hoardin’ R us.
Greg will trash anything he isn’t a part of, including religious folks trying to do some good for those less fortunate. Look at how he turned up his nose at the study circle group and the open invitation from his blog. Is it threatening to think that people with very different views might find some common ground?
I think he is more than threatened. He is jealous. 2000 people is a lot more than 100. And from the looks of the videos, the company is a lot better at VOICE than Help Save Manassas. But worst of all for Greg, he knows that this group is going to have more influence on the political process than HSM ever will. Even though they did have their day.
Jealous is too functional of a word. “Gospel” Greg Letiecq is burning up with resentment and bitterness over this. Not only have the true leaders of NoVa come forward to block his perverse and anti-american, racist agenda, but they booed his hero and cosmic twin Corey Stewart.
Letiecq called Virginia’s religious community “Communists” as an expression of hate. Hate is what he feels, hate is what he peddles, hate is why his followers have dwindled to less than 10.
Just an observation but it appears as if Republicans are unraveling.
Yes, fracturing and unraveling, in PWC, in Virginia, and nationally.
–but that they were all white and over 60. —
No….people like Donna W, GL and his VICE (can’t recall that guy’s name) and many more are aspiring, young….well, just leave it at that. 🙂
Yes the followers were over 60 but the leadership is all in their 40’s. Pure partisans through and through. They, like Stirrup and Stewart, thought incorrectly that the future of the Republican party was extremism, hate, and “culture war” intolerance. The nation is moving beyond that. The Commonwealth is doing the same as recent polls have shown. Why they continue down this road is beyond me.
The 40 somethings are leading the 60’s somethings that all have stars in their eyes. It is pretty sickening to watch actually. It is also pretty sickening to read their continual chorus of ‘amens’ when they are all agreeing with each other’s hateful statements.
Gross and disgusting! Enough to make a dog puke from here to Kansas.
Our hippies sold out. Or maybe these were the same people who hated hippies.
Why the hell are these people who should be older and wiser listening to the WORST of my generation?
Posting As Pinko, my neighborhood is full of aging hippies, free-thinkers (as well as the left and right variety), the poor, the wealthy, gays, straights, cross-dressers, druggies, bureaucrats. We’re out there – just not at HSM meetings.
Hee heee….of course you aren’t at HSM meetings if you are that diverse.
Where do you live? I’m moving THERE!
Posting, I’ll tell you next time I see ya…haha.
Clearly the intended sheep are over 60 if you use a perjorative like “communist.” The only people younger than that who can be made to hate on command with that word are Freedom Fry voters, you know, the 24 percent who still love George Bush?!
I’ll bet that the Freedom Fry Voters are even less than 24 percent in Virginia. All Greg Letiecq has proved is that hate buzzwords can mobilize 1 percent of the Freedom Fry sheep and with automated faxes and bogus emails you can temporarily push a few Supervisors around.
But when the next battle comes, who do you think the Supervisors will listen to? The people in video exhibit A, or the people in video exhibit B?
Maybe Mr. Letiecq didn’t realize when he called VOICE communists that it included Baptists, AME’s, Catholics, Christians, Muslims, Jews, and every imaginable faith and ethnicity in Northern Virginia. Perhaps he would take it back now that he knows they are not actually communists of any sort. Maybe he will now apologize? Is it too much to ask?
Shelly
NO! AND NO!
You are kidding, right?
Censored-
I bet there’s some “affordable foreclosures” in your diverse neighborhood. Pinko, might like one of those houses, and the diverse neighbors he’d being gaining(priceless). 😉
Some people prefer to stay in town and buy up the houses that used to be inhabited by hispanics. Run them off, buy up their houses. Is this a form of profiteering? Let’s see, what other group used to do that? hmmmmmm…let me think….no, say it isn’t true.
I was half kidding. I wouldn’t expect Mr. Letiecq to apologize. But he did take down the picture of the dog that was supposed to eat Hispanic people.
R.A. Ralph, who was it that ran people off and scooped up their houses? I know this happened when Japanese Americans were imprisoned during WWII.
Jorge Pollo, there are two really cheap ones on the market right now. Don’t know if they’re foreclosures. One was practically demolished by a fallen tree. I thought one of them might make a good studio. The squashed one is in a better location than the crappy other one.
There was a nice one on the market last month… the sight of many memorable parties. Maybe it sold. I’ll have to check LandRover.
