7 Thoughts to “Live From New York, It’s…Sarah Palin”

  1. Firedancer

Thanks for posting the rap..it’s great! I missed it last night (fell asleep). I too give her credit for being a good sport.

  2. Chris

Sarah Palin was a good sport, indeed. I think anyone appearing and/or hosting SNL must be a good sport in many ways. It’s funny the number of men they can get to dress like women.
    Firedancer,
Amy P. was too funny, and to see her so big with child made it even funnier.
    MH,
Thank you!!! We always need comic relief, and this is great “double dose” you’ve provided us with.

  3. LOL! Yup, she was a good sport all right. I think if she weren’t, it would reflect more poorly on her, eh?

  4. Rick Bentley

I thought it made her look even more stupid, vapid, and downright pathetic than her own injudicious comments and personna have.

The context of this is that Fey’s imitation of her cut very very deep, as quickly and effectively as any political satire ever has in this country’s history.

In the face of that all she can do is lamely co-sign and hope it makes her look like a “good sport” swaying as Amy Poehler does a moderately funny and totally ridiculous rap about her, and Fey who is on record as abhorring her ridicules her … on a show hosted by the star of “W”.

They got ratings and all she got was a chance to be humiliated further on national TV.

I actually LOST respect for her. She’s got even less integrity or content in her than I thought. But perhaps I’m just not pro-American enough to appreciate the joke.

Yep give her credit for showing up on SNL. My only complaint is that I think SNL is a lot funnier skewering politicians when they’re not there. We hopefully only have another week or two to see Tina Fey’s Palin impersonation. Why ruin it with this uncomfortable guest appearance?

  6. Moon-howler

Rick, we can always count on you to cut to the chase. Your comments are certainly valid. I do respect politico for going on there. You have to carry your ego in a kleenex box. My favorite political guest appearance was Janet Reno.

I won’t bore you and the others with my political opinion regarding Sarah Palin. She did what she was supposed to do…shore up the Religious Wrong..errr Right.

McCain would have been smarter to have reached out to the undecided moderates and independents.

  7. Leila

Jason, I don’t think Tina Fey is out of the woods yet. Nobody should be complacent about the results of this election!
