According to information released by the Pew Institute, and reported in the DC Examiner, both Virginia and Maryland have some of the largest illegal immigration populations in the nation. DC has a fairly low population but a very large work force.

The entire article is worth a read.

Virginia and Maryland house among the highest populations of illegal immigrants in the country, according to a study released Tuesday.
Virginia ranked 10th in the nation with about 300,000 illegal immigrants, while Maryland placed 11th with 250,000, according to the study from the Pew Hispanic Center, a research organization that chronicles the Hispanic population’s effect on the nation. California had the largest population, with 2.7 million illegal immigrants.

While the District of Columbia ranked 41st in population, it came in seventh for the share of illegal immigrants in its work force, the Pew study said.

The population of illegal immigrants in the area has grown significantly over the past few decades, said Pew senior demographer Jeffrey Passel, one of the authors of “A Portrait of Unauthorized Immigrants in the United States.”

“We’ve been the destination of immigrants for decades, both legal and illegal,” he said.

A major finding of the report was that a growing share of the children of unauthorized immigrant parents — 73 percent — were born in the United States and are U.S. citizens. The study did not break down the birthrates by state.

The number of U.S.-born children with illegal immigrant parents has expanded rapidly in recent years, to 4 million in 2008 from 2.7million in 2003. By contrast, the number of children who are unauthorized immigrants themselves — 1.5 million in 2008 — has remained relatively constant since 2003, the report said.

The trend indicates that more unauthorized immigrants are settling in and developing increased ties to the United States, said Randy Capps, demographer and senior policy analyst at the Migration Policy Institute, a nonprofit think tank that evaluates the migration of people worldwide.

While the boom of undocumented immigrants seen in the 1990s has tapered in recent years, Passel said it’s difficult to parse the cause of the slowdown, noting there are 13 statistics the center uses to track data from the early 1990s to the mid-2000s.

“There’s a pretty strong relationship between undocumented inflow and the state of the economy, specifically unemployment,” he said.

He said the combination of the poor economy and stepped-up immigration enforcement efforts were two of the factors that have contributed to the leveling off of the population growth.

It would be of interest to know how the information was gathered about status. What are the 13 indicators used in tracking? How reliable is the information? Will we see a more of shift in population because of the economy? How do DC hiring practices affect Maryland and Virginia as far as population?

UPDATE from the Washington Post that adds a little more information:

We usually see the young male day laborers on street corners. But only a fourth of undocumented immigrants are men who are here by themselves without spouses or children. This is a population that is largely made up of young families.”

Passel added that this “complicates greatly the difficulty of coming up with policies to deal with this population. . . . While we may be able to fit people into boxes of ‘undocumented,’ ‘legal,’ ‘legal temporary,’ and ‘U.S. citizens,’ it’s not so easy to fit families into that same set of little boxes.”

The study’s findings also point to the continued geographic dispersal of illegal immigrants since 1990 across southeastern states with little prior history of immigration.

Although longtime magnets such as Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York and Texas retained their appeal — and California continues to house the largest number of unauthorized immigrants — growth there has slowed compared with such states as Georgia and North Carolina. Similarly, in Virginia, which ranks 10th in number of illegal immigrants, the unauthorized population quintupled since 1990 to 300,000 and accounts for 4 percent of residents and 5.1 percent of workers.

65 Thoughts to “Va., Md. Rank High in Illegal Immigrant Population”

  1. Hiring practices have less to do with it than the consistent strength of the regional economy here. This is what draws immigrants, both documented and undocumented, as well as citizens from other regions. Population grown stimulates economic growth, and with economic growth there is a spectrum of job opportunities that in turn attract more newcomers.

Military and government institutions in this area ensure that, even if the national economy continues to falter, this region will continue to out-stride most others in the nation.

So, if the presence of 300,000 illegal immigrants in Virginia bothers us, we really only have only one choice: Comprehensive Immigration Reform that requires that includes legalization.

There a many on my side of the aisle who realize quite well that many of these 300,000 people are ethnic minorities, and that ethnic minorities are not too keen on the Republican party these days. For many Republicans, opposing legalization is not a matter of prejudice in any way, shape, or form; it’s a matter of political survival. That puts us between a rock and a hard place, however, because if we vociferously oppose reform that includes legalization, we further alienate minority communities in the process, making the electoral deficit all the greater when inevitably “amnesty” comes.

My preference would be that Republicans begin to reshape the party so that it appeals to minorities … so that this concern is less of a concern. This is why I supported Steele and Jindal in the past (not sure now if these were the right men, but this is the right direction).

Meanwhile, perhaps Republicans in Congress can bargain behind the scenes for some sort of compromise that would limit the influence these new Americans can have on elections in the near future.

  2. Lyn

Illegal Hispanic immigrants are a small presence overall in Washington DC population while being a large part of DC workforce – that is explained by DC’s majority black population having found other ways – crime and welfare – to live without working.

The overall trend of more Hispanic illegal immigrants is troubling and it should worry everyone. Hispanics, like a lot of other parasites, are prolific breeders. They are overhwhelming welfare, social services, schools, and prisons.

[EDITOR: This comment was released from moderation as an example of speech we consider inappropriate on anti-bvbl. Apparently there has been some confusion about our standards. See comments below]

    [

  3. Elena

    Dear Lyn,

your choice of using the term “parasite” and “breeders” demonstrates your level of prejudice. On Anti, we do not use de-humanizing terminology to describe our fellow human being. You have completey negated whatever point you may have been attempting to make.

  4. TWINAD

Also insulting is “Lyn’s” note that the African American population in DC prefers “crime and welfare” as an alternative to working. “Lyn” is a disgusting example of an American. People like “Lyn” are why I don’t always disagree with Mackie.

  5. Moon-howler

Oh Lyn, do you really feel you have used appropriate, public speech? Those kinds of comments are probably better off not leaving your own house.

    To all,
This is not even close to the worst of the comments we get on a daily basis. Do we know who they are? Sure. We have a dark screen regular and someone’s wife both spewing hate. Then there is the occassional stranger. Problem is, it isn’t illegal to be rude, vulgar, a hate monger or even a bigotted racist.

The outside world needs to perhaps have a taste of what the admins here get to look at and why we make some of the decisions we make. I agree, Elena, this one is a good example to let fly, this one time.

  6. ShellyB

I don’t agree with Lyn and yes it is offensive, but it does get at the heart of the issue for a lot of people. You see it all the time on the old blog and others.

We should accept the fact that a lot of the anti-immigrant sentiment is in this same vein. We used to have the “Hate Bunnies” come on here and it didn’t bother me. The question is whether we want this kind of racism to dictate government or police policy.

  7. michael

I think Lyn is 1 out of 10,000 people, and I’m am very disappointed when such ethnicity perspectives and “race-baiting” are used by Moonhowler, Allana and Elena (the editors here) to create a belief (however twisted and false they beliee it is not) that the majority of people opposed to “illegal” immigration are like LYN. They are not. The “dark-side” is no-more a US majority opinion (It is a religious minority group opinion) than the “naive-side” represented by this blog (A primarily Hispanic minority group opinion, promoted by ethnically targeted editorials and focus on ethnicity rather than law). Lyn (He or she) is an idiot, and a racist with a lot of anger and hatred toward all of the problems caused by “illegal” immigration. What all of you need to learn from that kind of garbage is “why”?

When you do the following you become “naive” and ethnically hateful (whether you are a minorty or majority).

    1. Transfer your anger of “illegal” immigrant behavior to an anger and racism toward the dominant ethnicity making up “illegal” immigrants.
    2. Transfer your anger of minority “religious group” behavior to an anger and racism toward the dominant ethnicity and religion making up “anti-illegal” behavior advocacy groups.
    3. Support lawlessness in support of an ethnicity group (support hispanic ethnicity in the case of this blog) rather than support lawfullness of all individuals regardless of race, religion, gender or ethnicity.
    4. Find specific examples that show racial prejudice does exist (mass extinctions also exist) and claim that is a majority behavior, when in reality it is 1 out of 10,000 behaviors caused by a very small minority of beliefs and actions. When you use isolated and extremely rare incidents while ignoring the more common lawful, honorable and respectful behaviors of ALL individuals addressing a destructive issue, entirely to support your racially prejudiced efforts to help only one ethnicity, and support breaking the law, and ignoring the impact of that lawbreaking on every other “individual” in the US.
    5. Reporting only those views that favor your ethnically biased opinions and beliefs, while ignoring the actions taken by the “majority” of less naive citizens to minimize ethnically based laws, prejudices, opinions and beliefs, and MAXIMIZE good judgement, equitable and fair law enforcement, and ethics to reduce poverty, prevent corruption, enforce law, and increase rather than lower standards of living. When you ignore the actions and incidents of “individuals” that focus on “income levels”, individuals, and LAW rather than ethnicity, gender, religion and racial minority politics and racist behavior, then you reporting and viewpoint supports only an ETHNIC MINORITY and you become a MINORITY or MAJORITY RACIST that only points out the “racism” committed by others while ignoring your own.

  8. michael

You should stick to analyzing truthfully the topic problem. A significant number of “illegal” immigrants exist in VA and Maryland, have caused overpopulation growth in the past 25 years (most notable in the past 10 years in Va and Maryland, NC and Georgia) and have lowered the standard of living in ALL of the communities they have moved into.

WHWN is not factual when portraying that population increase causes wealth increase. This is NOT true. The growth by 45 million “illegal” immigrants in US population corresponds with a decrease in the standard of living in the US of the average household over the past 30 years. Only the top 1% of the growth and wealth in America benefited from ANY growth in GDP we experienced as a result of Reganomics and removal of Glas-Segal, free trade policy, and lax law enforcement. The majority of US citizens have significantly LOST standard of living over the past 25 years (since the 1986 “illegal” immigrant Amnesty). You have only to take a look around and SEE THE ANGER RISE at this standard of living loss, and see the anger rise over the lack of law enforcement at ALL levels of our now very corrupt, pro-minority interest group ONLY government. We have not seen such taking of American wealth from the people by foreign and “illegal” interests since 1776. History is about to repeat itself, and the constitution reclaimed in the name of democracy and welfare of all its citizens, not just the top 1% aristocratic elite and the bottom 10% “illegal” and formerly “illegal” immigrants.

  9. Poor Richard

Please note that the immigrant population growth in Virginia
isn’t evenly spaced – some areas have seen little change –
while others, including Manassas, Manassas Park and Prince
William County have seen dramatic change – far more than a 10%
growth. There are pros and cons to this demographic shift,
including massive additional cost to the jurisdictions most
impacted – especially in schools, public safety and health care.
If I were ask to comment on the Obama plan, it would be on
community cost and the need for Federal financial help –
at least in the short term. What is the net per capita cost
of an average immigrant over that of a native American?
That would paid by Washington. It would move a huge negative
issue for local governments off the table.
Plus, interesting article in the WaPo last week about
how South Korean has special schools for students who escape
North Korea – they stay in those schools until they catch-up
to the South Korea educational norm and then are main streamed.
Doing that with new, especially illiterate, immigrants here
would help resolve another major issue. These schools would
be built, paid for and operated by the Federal government.

  10. Moon-howler

Michael, At this point, I have no response, but, HOW DARE YOU!

I didn’t make lyn log on to this blog and make those statements. Nor are we going to allow statements like that to just stay here without comment. Unfortunately, Michael, you are wrong. I don’t know if you think you are fooling me or if you are fooling yourself. We get remarks daily similar if not worse than the one being addressed above.

Today, it was relevant to release one. That is all that needs to be said.

  11. michael

How DARE YOU Moonhowler, for being a hypocrit for laxing your own rules just to make a political point that there exist ugly people out there (we all know that) and then claim you don’t tolerate such views, and refuse to let them be public, and then arbitrarily change your policy, ignore your anti-racism policy, steal your own thread to make this a racist issue (again) instead of an issue of law.

No you didn’t do anything, but allow garbage to appear on your blog against your own rules, as long as it supports your own political position.

  12. michael

Today it was not relevant to release one. That was not the topic of the blog.

  13. michael

This is also why you never “censor” mackies racist comments. It is to your political advantage not to do so.

  14. michael

Take a good look at your own political agenda, before you come down hard on me for holding you accountable to your own policy.

  15. michael

Mackie and some others here are every bit as UGLY in their racists comments as lyn. Yet you do nothing about it, until it is to your political agenda advantage to do so.

  16. michael

Elena, does not state the truth…

On Anti, we do not use de-humanizing terminology to describe our fellow human being.

Many on this blog do this all the time and all three of you tolerate it when it is in your political interest to do so.

  17. Anesthesia

I always find it ironic that so many people representing the nation’s most serious issues live right under our noses here in the DC Metro area.

    This is only one example.

Another is poverty. Ever see all the homeless and poverty-ridden in DC?

How about problems in education? Again….DC

It seems the closer you get to Capital Hill, the easier it is for the powers that be to ignore the issues.

  18. silver fox

    Mikey,
I believe there is more than one amin. of this blog. Moon-howler is not the “lone ranger”. Why be so quick to jump down her throat?

  19. michael

Would you like for me to go back and find hundreds if not thousands of examples of this where you tolerate such language when it is to your political advantage to do so, or would you care to find some examples where you, allana, and Elena treated their fellow human beings with de-humanizing and disrespectful terminology that you claim you do not? While you are at it define “de-humanizing” for mackie and others and dehumanizing for LYN in the same breath as “different de-humanizing” in some way.

  20. silver fox

Mackie has been called to the carpet for his comments and videos numerous times on this blog.

  21. michael

I’m not jumping down her throat, she jumped on me for no cause other than I disagree she holds herself and others on this blog to a high standard that is not politically biased and supportive of just one ethnicity.

  22. Moon-howler

Michael, I am always amazed at the affrontery of people who come to this blog and who think they set the rules. One thing I have always been consistent about regarding blogs, and I will use bvbl as my example: regardless of how I feel about it, Greg, and his arbitrary decisions, it is his blog, he may do as he likes.

Secondly, Alanna is the blog owner and she has given Elena and me administrative powers with the directives to make decisions.

Perhaps you might want to review Alanna’s rules and how things work. Very few people have been banned from this blog.

Michael, I am suspicious why you are so upset over the fact that this post was allowed out of moderation. What’s it to you? Finally, I wasn’t the person who approved this individual, yet you target me. Should I go all paranoid over the fact that you have singled me out? Different administrators will release different posts.

Just asking. Reminder, Elena, Alanna, and I will set the rules. Those who do not like the rules are free to post elsewhere. No hard feelings.

  23. michael

Of the three editors, Moon is the most rational and reasonably unbiased. I admire her for that. In this case however she is wrong and DID NOT filter UGLY behavior (as is also not done with mackie and others who make racists comments) when it makes a political point she favors.

  24. michael

I’m tired of the double standard and one-sided reporting Moon, that is why ignoring some and slamming others inconsistantly leads me do claim this blog has a seriously biased agenda that is harming America, and the three of you do not report the entire truth unless it is in your political interests to do so.

  25. michael

I have no hard feelings Moon, I only argue for truth and lawfullness, not ethnic preferance and support of one group while harming “individuals” as is the obvious political agenda of this blog. When you can go down the middle without ethnic prejudice, then I will not get upset. My political agenda is support for law enforcement and the removal of political corruption that is destroying this nation, our standard of living and our democracy in favor of Aristocracy and Karl Marx social “class” struggle ideology.

Have you ever compared what people believe on this blog with the writings of MARX? It would shock you.

  26. silver fox

Micheal, if you don’t like the way this blog is run, it’s views, or comments. Don’t visit. Find a new place to blog.

  27. michael

It is precisely that I don’t like the way this blog is politically biased that I make the comments I do, so readers will get BOTH sides of the issue, rather than just what you, alanna, and Elena believe in. If you don’t agree with me doing this, then you can BAN ME. It will be your loss, and the loss of others not to hear both sides of the issue, and from a “neutral” perspective that is mine. It is my “neutral” perspective, and support for the law, that is more correct than either “your” blog, or greg’s blog. I hit him between the eyes when he deserves it and displays the bias of a religious right wing radical. You, Allana and Elena, are leaning toward the left wing socialist radicals farther left than me. I’m trying to show all of you that what is best for the nation is what is best for all individuals, and what is best is to increase our standard of living, and not our “wealth” or social handouts to ethnic groups, and what is best for all individuals in the nation is to not politically support only what is best for specific “ethnic, gender, racial and religious groups”.

  28. silver fox

    Micheal,
Would you prefer the echo chamber of bvbl? There’s nothing but preaching to the choir on that blog. Greg banned, and deleted comments from some of his most frequent commenters on that blog. Hence, anti-bvbl was born.

You are broad brushing when you say “show all of you”. Not eveyone here shares the same views. You seem neutral enough. However, you are not the only neutral person on this blog. I would put my neurality up against yours any day of the week.

  29. michael

Greg never banned ME, because he can’t disagree with a “neutral” argument any more than you or others here on this blog. Neither of you can see that you are BOTH wrong.

The illegal immigration issue is a Law enforcement issue that when enforced increases the standard of living in America, decreases poverty and eliminates ALL victims that are victimized by “illegal” immigration behavior in America.

The other “illegal” immigration issue it that both this blog and greg’s blog (and most of the commenters on those blogs) make it a racial issue (for or against specific ethnicities). That is just politically and ethically wrong, wrong, wrong for BOTH of you who take radical minority positions on both ends of the political spectrum. Neither of you can take the “neutral” position in this which is the only correct position to take as their are victims on boths sides when you do not take the “law” verses “lawlessness” position of a Democracy, and make ALL of these decisions without preference, prejudice or discrimmination toward ANY race, gender ethnicity, religion or political action group special interest.

It is precisely minority interest PACs that have corrupted our government, corrupted our congress and undermined our Democracy and what is best for all individuals, and has not focused on an increase in standard of living of all individuals (rather than just the top 1% or the bottom 10% of “illegal immigrants” and to treat ALL individuals fairly under common law.

  30. michael

Moon you and I are closer to neutral than most on this blog and you know it. Sometimes I get out of line and sometimes you do. But that does not mean your view is more correect than mine. History will show that any ethnic preference is wrong and not upholding existing law is wrong, of that I am certain because we have seen what happens in history when you do neither of the above.

  31. michael

ShellyB had it correct when she observed that the problem with “illegal” immigration is the “behavior”. A neutral position only focuses on the behavior of individuals, and the behavior of “illegals” not on the pro or con of ethnic group support.

  32. michael

Your and Greg’s inability to do this is why you are on opposite ends of the pole. Itis also why you, (Elena and Allana) nor Greg will never get a solution that is best for all US individuals, best for our standard of living for all, and best for our democracy.

  33. Slowpoke Rodriguez

    michael :
How DARE YOU Moonhowler, for being a hypocrit for laxing your own rules just to make a political point that there exist ugly people out there (we all know that) and then claim you don’t tolerate such views, and refuse to let them be public, and then arbitrarily change your policy, ignore your anti-racism policy, steal your own thread to make this a racist issue (again) instead of an issue of law.
No you didn’t do anything, but allow garbage to appear on your blog against your own rules, as long as it supports your own political position.

Well, Michael, both BVBL and Anti- let one through once in a while. Most of us know that both sites get probably equal amounts of hate posts (other than mine!), so I don’t think there’s any rational notion that the same stuff and much worse doesn’t show up on Greg’s blog too. I remember once Greg made a boo-boo or had a problem, and all the hate mail showed up for a couple of hours…WOW does he get some special stuff from all the “super-tolerant” out there! Heck, Lyn might hang around for a while and eventually express herself/himself differently. I get a kick out of the whiners that say “I got censored by BVBL” like they don’t know the same thing happens here too. These are blogs, no assumption of fairness. If you want fair, go to…..well, the newspapers and most mainstream media outlets will help either. Sorry, forget fair 🙂

  34. Slowpoke Rodriguez

    won’t help….nuts.

  35. Moon-howler

Michael, Let’s bring this down a notch. Did you read what the person in question said? Did you check out their link? Click the blue spot. Tell me I am making all this up. What is it you would have me do?

The thread is politically neutral. I honestly do not know what has brought out this animosity.

  36. Moon-howler

Thanks Slowpoke. Actually, I would say some people think garbage appears here all the time.

There is also a lot of spam that comes here. Fortunately, the spam filters catch most of it. I remember what you were talking about– The hate mail on bvbl. And there is no excuse for that either. (this wasn’t your usual difference of opinion. This was hard core stuff)

I guess that’s what happens when trolls sit behind computers all day and people have to slide food under the door to them.

  37. michael

I’m not expressing animosity, I’m debating with more intensity than usual, what is wrong with your blog and with greg’s. I read what the person said, I was against it just like you, but you let it get through your policy filter by a political decision and not by mistake. In contrast you let Mackies and others UGLY racists comments get through without moderation. I’m slammig you for gross inconsistancy based on your political agenda and posted policy. I have a good idea what that agenda is and I am against it, specifically because it is not neutral, it is specifically in support of a specific ethnic group and specifically in support of granting “legality” to “illegal” immigrants that have grossly far left ethnic-centric, segregationist ideologies not grounded in Democracy. You almost never address the rights and needs of US citizens and “legal immigration” victims harmed by “illegal” immigrants, and that IS YOUR political bias and the bias of this blog. You (this blog) also more often than not promotes far-left socialist ideas that are not politically neutral, and that if implemented would destroy the stability of a democracy in favor of a social class system of government handouts. This political position in history ultimately leads to an autocracy (or dictatorship) controlled by one ethnicity. Just look at what is happening in Thailand, which is a democracy of the people (a republic monarchy more precisely, with democratic elections). In that country the grass roots people who believe in ethics and law enforcement to increase the standard of living in theor society (yellow shirts) threw out the corruption of two prime ministers, only to have the top 1% economic elites (aristocracy) pay socialist leaning farmers (socialist red shirts) to try to overthrow the republic to get them back into their politically corrupt offices. You (this blog) are often supporting ethnicity centric socialist ideologies that if able to get a political “ethnic social class” majority in Congress will likely result in the same conflict and destruction of Democracy (whether you are intentionally doing this or not).

  38. YankeeForever

Why all the excitement, Michael? Lyn’s “post” has “fake” written all over it.

  39. michael

I don’t care if it’s fake, Its the political agenda and inconsistency that I’m against, and Moon knows why. I do the same to Greg, when he lets religious group minority interests determine who he slams on the blog and who he does not. It is the political bias of minorities and minority interests over Democracy, indivudual needs and lawful principled ethics that is wrong on both blogs.

  40. ShellyB

Lyn is a real person. I saw his/her website and it’s too frightening to say more.

Slowpoke I used to whine about censorship on Greg’s blog. I’m starting to realize that with all the hate mail and spam you HAVE to moderate or else it’s just too chaotic. So I apologize for whining. I didn’t even know what a blog was until Greg came to town. I thought it was supposed to be like the pulse of the county. I didn’t realize that a blog is not supposed to really be that. It just seemed like it was the only blog everyone was talking about, and if it IS the county blog, it should be allowed for both sides of view.

I think between the two blogs, this is the one that allows both points of view. On Greg’s blog the only fights are between fringe right Republicans like Greg and normal Republicans like AWC.

  41. Moon-howler

Yankeeforever, we get many I feel are fake. Did you see her link? Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t. Someone sure went to a lot of trouble if it is fake.

Michael, it is not against the rules to make racist statements. I don’t think that has ever been said. Mackie posted a long time here before the rhetoric that you are calling racist started. He has been called out by many different writers here.

We will probably never do to suit you here on this blog. Didn’t you call me a racist about a week ago? You are still here…..That disproves your theory.

  42. Slowpoke Rodriguez

I look forward to the occasional posting from Wacky Mackie! It’s rare that one is likely to run into such a textbook example of self-loathing! Having taken Abnormal Psychology at the graduate level, I can tell you that all you’ll ever need to see is right there in Mackie’s posts! It’s awesome what a good ole’ Dopamine imbalance will get you! Don’t get too worked up over Mackie…just enjoy the ride!

  43. Slowpoke Rodriguez

    @ShellyB

    Where’s Lyn’s website? I didn’t catch the URL. Help a brother out!

  44. YankeeForever

    CLick on his/her name, Slowpoke–sorry, Moon-howler, I didn’t notice the link there.

ShellyB, I agree that Lyn’s website is reprehensible, but unlike you, I don’t find it frightening. Judging from the lack of comments, he/she is a voice in the wilderness. Despite what Janet Napolitano thinks, even reprehensible words are protected speech.

  45. michael

    To all racists out there…

Moon has officially declared it is OK to make racist comments on her, allana and Elena’s blog. She will not moderate any racists comments regardless of what hate group or individual racist it comes from.

    Moon,
Calling someone a racist and making racist’s comments are entirely different things Moon… one is actively seeking racism, the other is trying to prevent it.

I’m trying to prevent it, because do do otherwise is to encourage very distructive, lawless, and hateful behaviors by individuals that believe in racisim, ethnic class socialism and governments run by oppressive ethnic groups (known as a facist state) from destroying our Democracy. A Democracy, is a governbment run by the individual power of the people to have laws written that protect them, and have the government fear its citizens rather than the citizens fear their government. The recent report on right wing and left wing extremism in America from DHS is a clear case where the government and gun control opponents want its citizens to fear the federal government even when that government’s level of corruption is looking out only for the top 1% of the aristocratic elite, and the bottom 10% of the poorest “illegal” immigrants regardless of the impact on the standard of living on the rest of its citizens. In 1776, the only thing that stopped that fear of the government stealing from the standards of living and prosperity of the people, was the right of the individual to rise up against government corruption at ALL levels of government, with the right to bear arms against it if necessary to stop the widespread corruption of political and financial elites (known as aristocracy in history)…

The US constitution says this is a government of the people, by the people and FOR the people, not the 1% elite and 10% “illegal” immigrant community and the minority and majority racists of the nation who self-segregate and class separate into political minority groups.

  46. michael

I would no more support “racists” and rights to be a racist, than I would support ethnic minority terrorists or social marxists all attempting to remove Democracy from our government and replace it with their own “ethnic class structured” ideology. That is one of the main differences between those who support such concepts on this blog and me. I believe I stand with the majority of the nation in this belief.

    Michael,
You blamed the economic global crisis on illegal immigration. How is that not using one group to scapegoat? Furthermore, what was posted here by “lyn” is seen throughout the dark screen and I have yet to see you decry “racism” over there, very interesting. Hmmmm?

Wow, regarding the tone of this thread, see what happens when people deal in hatred? You cannot build a community when one group demeans another rather than recognize shared goals. All this from one possibly fake comment designed to incite.

Or maybe it’s distorted here by Michael, but my point is the same.

Back in my days on the dark screen, I kept asking what was their vision for the community once they got rid of all the “illegals”. I never did get an answer.

The difference Elena, is I am not blaming an ethnic group for the economic crisis and you continue to believe only specific ethnic groups, genders and races need special attention, support and privilige. You also as I, do not believe an ethnic group caused the economic crisis, although much evidence of ethnicity targeting by HUD, Fannie, Freddie and 8A policy (ACORN, Chris Dodd & Barny Franks policies) can be found to support such beliefs.

I blame a segment of the US population that is “illegal” and lawbreaking for the economic crisis caused by a 45 million population increase in “illegal” behavior over the past 25 years, and I blame their rampant lawbreaking and the lack of law enforcement on the entire mortgage banking community, including the congress (to include Chris Dodd and Barny Frank, as being pro-illegal immigrant in its lending policy), and in supporting pro-illegal immigrants over the past 25 years, set up the conditions that trigggered our entire economic collapse.

It is like saying “smart” people are scapegoating “stupid” people, and we are. We are also saying “lawful” citizens are scapegoating “illegal” citizens because they are breaking laws that are increasing poverty and lowering the standard of living in every community they move into, as well as illegally increasing the population that fueled fraud, corruption and unlawful behavior in the mortgage lending industry. The uppoer 1% elite in the nation took advantage of this “illegal” behavior and made lax laws in securities practices (SIVs, CDS’s and hedge funds) that allowed rampant corruption in the congress and financial/legal communities to destroy the US globally.

    This is a FACT.

If you go back and LOOK at my BVBL quotes, before I came here to enlighten “most of you”, you will see HUNDREDS of examples where I have decried “racism” on BVBL.

You just don’t know what the crap you are talking about…I did the same thing there that I now do here, try to convinve naive people they need to wake up and start supporting democracy, lawfullness, and remove “illegal” immigrants from the nation, ans to stop supporting racism, ethnic group segregation, minority class segregation and politically destructive support for minority groups over the needs of the nation, our standard of living, and our need to remain a Democracy of “individuals” rather than a facist state of oppressive ethnic minority rule without concern for ALL individual’s welfare.

    Firedancer, there was none perhaps.

Michael, I don’t think it is ok to call people racists or be one. I rarely use the term racist. I think it is overused. It has become meaningless. I still fail to see what got your dander up.

question for you…do you live in Prince William County?

Slowpoke, I think we have similar academic backgrounds. We are both of a blog or 2. Should either of us be worried? I think when I did my abnormal psych studies though, dopamine wasn’t a big issue. Might not have even discovered it then.
