President Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for attempting to change the direction of diplomacy. According to the New York Times:

    Actually, I don’t see how there’s anything wrong with questioning why Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize so early in his tenure. Come on – the nomination deadline was February 1. If that’s unpatriotic – that’s sure a stretch. Many people are questioning it – and even the most favorable press at least mentions the odd timing. It was definitely an unconventional thing to do – to give the award to him at this point – no one can dispute that.
