14 Thoughts to “The Families of John Muhammad”

  1. Slowpoke Rodriguez

    Ah, Mr. Muhammed…….Buh-Bye!!

  2. GainesvilleResident

I was a bit surprised at what his first wife had to say.

  3. None of them were pleading for his sorry life. They were pretty resigned that he was a POS.

  4. Rick Bentley

I didn’t find either interesting. At least Mildred was prepared … well-coached enough that Larry had a hard time figuring out what inane question to blurt out next. Both are basically hawking books, here’s hoping those books go straight to the trash heap of history.

  5. GainesvilleResident

I definitely wouldn’t buy either of those books.

  6. Rick, I felt that the women were almost without emotion over any one but their children to be interesting. Neither women seemed to care anything about him or the fact that he was preparing to meet his maker.

I have never seen such detached people. You are right. Mildred was well prepared and she didn’t miss a beat.

I wouldn’t buy the book either. I still feel victimized by what he did. He victimized all of us.

  7. Governor Kaine has denied any stay of execution for John Allen Muhammad. The execution will be tonight at 9 pm.

I can’t help but think of his son’s words.

  8. Rick Bentley

“Neither women seemed to care anything about him or the fact that he was preparing to meet his maker. ”

Mildred probably cares .. she’s personally glad she doesn’t have to worry about him anymore and what he might do to her.

And the first wife is going to bury him. Of course in exchange she will be writing a book and rather obviously using or printing those letters he wrote to her. Yawn.

Why would they much care about him at this late date? In both cases, he left them alone with children to take care of, and they had to move on with life. I think that’ll stomp out any feelings of affection once held.

  9. Both at least appear to be in decent relationships now, or so they say. I thought maybe they were being decent because of their kids.

I was very surprised to hear the first wife was going to bury him. Now what’s that about? Surely she isn’t just doing her good christian duty. Burying someone is expensive.

  10. Done deal. John Allen Muhammad was executed and declared dead at 9:11. 9:21 pm 11/10/09 notification came out.

  11. The Associated Press reported that, according to his wife, “…he returned from his tour of duty in the Gulf War, a changed man, saying Black soldiers had been discriminated against.” She said “When he got back, he was a very angry man.” He might have shot white strangers at random, only killing a few black victims to make it seem as if race was not an issue.

    *******(London Telegraph)
Malvo further testified that Muhammad wanted him to shoot pregnant white women. At one moment, he even had a pregnant woman in his sights in a fast-food restaurant.

“I just couldn’t take the shot,” said Malvo.

So why has the media buried the racist motivation for these crimes?

  12. Rick Bentley

“I was very surprised to hear the first wife was going to bury him. Now what’s that about? ”

Gives credibility to her upcoming book.

  13. I am not sure what credibility it gives, but I don’t know what it says either. I would let the state bury him on paupers row. But that’s me. I suppose I was sniffing up the religious row. Is it her religion?

“He wanted his kids to know that he loved them.”

You know what would have proven to his kids that he loved them? Not just saying it, sitting on death row, about to be executed for a series of monstrous crimes.

Staying with their mom, working to support them, raising them to be decent honest people, teaching them right from wrong, doing the hard work of being an actual parent.

He didn’t just cheat them out of having an actual father, he also gave his children notoriety, infamy, anger, and poor self-image that they will spend the rest of their lives living down.

Now he doesn’t want them to think badly of HIM — that’s the narcissistic thinking of a true psychopath.
