8 Thoughts to “I Have a Scheme….Jon Stewart on the Glenn Beck Civil Rights Rally”

“I have a scheme” is a joke that’s been used for years to describe Sharpton. Leibowitz needs some fresh material.

  2. Perhaps it needs resurrecting. Tell me you didn’t think his skit was funny.

    Are you a Beck fan?

In fairness to Beck, I think he is raising money for some wounded warriors organization rather than for himself. That improves my attitude. I don’t like the idea of rededicating the Lincoln memorial. That seems totally arrogant.

No less arrogant (and tasteless) than building a mosque on Ground Zero. But both groups have their Constitutional rights, which I support.

  4. Actually there is a huge difference. The Linoln Memorial has been standing there for years. Who does Beck think he is.

The mosque is an entirely different matter. It hasn’t been built yet and it isn’t a memorial to an American icon, much less president.

NEAR G Z. Let the people of NY decide. I still don’t feel like I have a dog in that fight.

    Moon-howler :

Who does Al Sharpton think he is? Who do you think you are?

  6. What does Al Sharpton have to do with this discussion? I am not talking about Sharpton.

I think I am the one calling Beck an arrogant horse’s ass for thinking he can rededicate the Lincoln Memorial. By whose authority? i saw no referrendum on that.

Can anyone say religious revival? I loved how Beck talked about all religions coming together but somehow couldnt’ find one muslim or Jew to be on his faux panel???

  8. Jon Stewart has his nerve. They are on vacation (again!) for 2 weeks.

Elena, the religions of the world only come together for a moment…then they go back to hating each other.
