Today is the big day.  Who got up to watch live?  Who is sick and tired of all the fuss?  Who would love to have the money this shing-ding cost?

The topic is not limited to the Wedding.  Its just a place to start.

    Moon,
The Prince William Cavalry did arrive – on time (the weather was perfect).
There were over 200 people at the museum to greet them and before
the 1861 Roll Call of the orignal unit was called, their decendents were
asked to come forward and answer the call – at least a third of the
gathering stepped up. Why is The War still so close? Because , for many,
    it is still family.

(Weir, Weeden, Thornton,Sinclair, Merchant, Fewell — just a few of the names
with deep ties with our local history, before, during and after The War.)

Fewell donated the land that is Manassas Cemetery, where about 250 of the war dead were reinterred. Thanks for the link, Big Dog. I had no idea that type of educational information was on the city website!

  4. @Big Dog,

That was a very powerful statement about the families. I had never thought of it quite like that…and I should have.

Moon, the health issues with cell towers rank right up there with the health issues of holding the cell phone to your ear – nobody knows for sure yet. Just as with having wireless routers in your own home; not enough valid research finding to say walking around with all that radio wave hitting ya is bad for you.

Only thing confirmed is sitting around all day at the one-eyed monster or playing video games makes for poor cardio health and great coach potatoes! LOL!

Yikes, silver is down nearly 10% in the Australian session!

    1. Lets hope it doesnt affect SLW much. @ cato

  7. @Raymond,

I never thought of the wireless on the computers. Holy cow, I am doomed.

    @Moon-howler

LOL! My personal doom was hearing that the dye used in Jello during the 60s causes cancer. Man, my Mother fed us a lot of that!!!
