Ewwwwwwww! Jon Stewart is right. What is the impolite way of saying that?
Newtster has fully shot himself in the foot. No Sister Souljah momentfor the Newtster.
Will Newt be forgiven or did he drink the proverbial hemlock of politics. It seems he is making himself hard to be like d by everyone. Actually, Newt was able to wrestle the limelight away from Arnold. That’s quite an accomplishment. Any time political stupidity steals tawdry sex’s thunder, it must be real stupid political stupidity.
Richard Beeman is Jon’s guest. He is an accredited historian and is a Constitutional historian. He disputes last week’s David Barton’s interpretation of the Constitution. Barton made Stewart’s head feel like the liberty bell.

Beeman’s book is Plain Honest Men.
Newt is just being Newt –
and then he says he was not prepared to be ambushed – similar to Palin when asked what news papers she read. Not to defend the media, who needs a bashing at time, but when simple questions are answered incorrectly (or not answered) – do not blame the questioner.
Totally agree Pat. This post has been up for over 24 hours and Newt keeps self destructing. He continues to lie and equivocate. He is still being laughed at.
I guess we should have known when he tried to pull the infidelity excuse was because he loved his country too much. Stephen Colbert suggests that his huge bill at Tiffanies is because he buys his engagement rings in bulk.
No moderates. No excuses. Do not retreat, reload.
I love this political season!
Newho?
marin, it sounds like you want a dictatorship.
You know you won’t prevail.
Gov. Walker will go out with a whimper, not a bang.
Not sure how not wanting a moderate like Newt makes me want a dictatorship.
Who will prevail is decided by the voters.
You said no moderates. I assume you don’t want liberals in office. Some of us would prefer to not have to live under a whole bunch of archies.
Newt is NOT a moderate. I am horribly offended.
