Moonhowlings will have its second annual Meet Up on Sunday, September 11 @ 1 pm at Mama Mia in Gainesville.
Hopefully everyone will be able to make it. Thanks again to Steve Thomas for making the arrangements.
Last time we got together, we pretty much took over the place and a good time was had by all.
Steve and I will be your Goto people if you have questions/concerns/etc. See you there!

@IVAN
A little birdie told me that you met my mom this past week. 🙂
Will you and the Mrs. be in attendance today?
So, look for all the cars with Corey Stewart campaign bumper-stickers, right?
Should we be looking for a small mouse with an accent?
That’s right. Some folks will have a picture of him in the left windshield. The city folks will even be paying homage.
You’ve seen those Furr heating trucks with the waving figure….we got one of Corey especially made for the occassion.
I think I’ll wear my John Gray t-shirt that reads… “Have you got your county tax refund check yet?”
Moon, you are too funny!! Remember, as the commercials says on cable..”It’s ok to wave back”. 🙂
I wonder if the “district spies” will show up to take names as they did for a democrats campaign function. Hopefully, they’ll do the right thing and keep their asses away.
I hope you all have a good time. And Moon, I found a good movie online for free – a thought-provoking documentary about some kids arrested for domestic terrorism, and the circumstances of them being recruited and encouraged by a CIA informant – I recommend this (not for any pointed political reason, but because it’s interesting). http://www.pbs.org/pov/betterthisworld/full.php
If its free,, its for me. Thanks Rick.
I am still grrrr at Netflix. I hope their business decision hurts their business. Plus I don’t own any of their stock.
It was really nice to meet the Marin Twins, DB and Slowpoke! Of course it was nice to see the familiar faces too. Now, I’m ready for some FOOTBALL!! Let’s go SKINS!
I would just like to say how much I enjoyed meeting everyone! I thank you all!
Slowpoke, the pleasure is ours. Thank you for coming.
It was nice to see everybody and I appreciate those that signed on for the Recruit Cuccinilli for VP effort.
The wife and I had a nice time as we don’t get out much. The kids got fussy so we had to hasten our retreat back to the compound earlier than I liked but it was nice chatting with everyone.
Got back in time to see that the Skins won. Nice!!!
I had a great time as well and enjoyed meeting Laf, MH, Moe, Elena, Slo, Bob, Steve etc.. Thanks for the opportunity. Really enjoyable experience! Thanks!
DB
@marinm, you are ruining our rep with that cooch-speak. Darling babies. I kept my distance. I have been around gkids as late as last night. They have been at a new school which means that they are walking germ machines. I wouldn’t want that around MY new babies.
We shall all do it again soon.
A big thanks to Steve and Mrs. T for making the arrangements.
@DB
I am so glad you were able to come! There are other folks who had prior obligations who I wish had been there for you to meet also.
DB, send me an email please.

Has anyone seen Wolverine? People were asking about him today.
I am bummed I could not stay longer, I feel like I barely had a chance to really chit chat. It was great seeing faces I knew already and of course, meeting new ones…..DB and Slow 😉 !
marinm, the babies are awesome! Brings back lots of memories. It goes by so fast and then they start talking and you wish you could go back when they just cooed at you and smiled that toothless gummy grin 🙂
Honestly though, every staget is different and I have loved them all!
Dropped husband off at Dulles this AM for flight to Dallas for Fed Mgt training. Got a call from him later in the PM. Landed safely. Thank goodness.
Me: How was check in? Were there any problems with syringes (Hubby is a diabetic) in carry on?
Hubby: They put my backpack (carry on) in and out the conveyor belt several times. Then I was called over.
Me: The syringes huh?
Hubby: No. The baton I forgot was in the bag.
Me: You have a baton?
Hubby: Yeah it was issued last year. Tossed it into my bag and forgot about it.
Me: Why do have a baton?
Hubby: Dunno. They (work) gave it to me.
Me: Why does a contract specialist need a baton?
Hubby: I don’t know. I just forgot about it.
Me: OMG!!! What happened? Did security give you a hard time?
Hubby: They (security) said I couldn’t carry the baton on the plane and told me to drop it off at the USO office and they will mail it to the house. They were really nice about it.
Me: Did they say anything about the syringes or the glucometer sharp?
Hubby: No. Not a word. They ignored the syringes and test kit. They were too focused on the baton. No one even asked about the syringes or even looked at the test kit.
Me; So basically you were able to carry on what is akin to an exacto knife, and syringes, and no one said a thing, but a baton raised red flags?
Hubby; Exactly.
Me: Weird.
I still want to know why his work gave him a baton.@DB
No clue. Maybe they expect him to use on contractors who are not doing what they’re supposed to be doing?
