Some of our contributors have sent me a poster for our conservative readers.  I didn’t post it.  It contained a bad word.  [polishing my halo]  However, when they sent it back with the bad word cleared up and a double dog dare, what’s a girl to do?

I hope everyone takes this poster in the spirit it was intended.

Turning down a double dog dare just isn’t possible.  Cargo, Cato, Marin, Pokie,  conservative friends, et al, please forgive me.  The Devil made me do it along with the double dog dare.  I am hoping the culprits will step up to the plate and identify themselves.

11 Thoughts to “A Message from Bush”

    That’s ok. I LOL’d.

  2. I knew I could count on you, Cargo. You can guess the guilty parties.

Funny is funny, nobody gets a pass!

Oh, I’m sure you can find a few Obama posters as well. Just to keep things FAIR and BALANCED, or is this turning into a liberals only blog. I sure get the feeling that we’ve gone from balanced discussion on previous subjects to repeating talking points from both sides. No one willing to give an inch when good ideas surface regardless of where they came from. Just stick to defending one side only no matter what. OMG, we’re turning into POLITICIANS, and we thought we were above all that!

  5. Fair and balanced is not MY motto. I guess you will have to go to Fox News for that.

It didn’t make me laugh … and I think it’s kind of crazy for Obama supporters to keep pretending, 1000 days into office, that his inability to lead is “Bush’s fault”.

    Has Obama been inaugurated yet?

  8. Rick, I don’t see the segue from a joke that keeps coming up here to your belief that Obama cannot lead or that anyone is blaming Bush.

I don’t see why anyone with an ounce of knowledge of history thinks a recession as deep as the hit we took in 2007/2008 could possibly right itself in a year or two. I am not sure why anyone is blaming Bush for it either.

I would be more inclined to blame Bush for Cheney and Rumsfeld. That has nothing to do with Obama.

” I don’t see why anyone with an ounce of knowledge of history thinks a recession as deep as the hit we took in 2007/2008 could possibly right itself in a year or two.”

At the risk of sucking all the air out of the room, I have more than an ounce of the knowledge of history, and I can point to a historical example of a President enacting sound stimulis policies that did in fact have an appreciable, measurable, positive impact on a recession-laden economy. That President was Ronald Reagan, and he did it with a Democrat controlled House. That is leadership. A leader knows the way, shows the way, and goes the way. I don’t know what it is that we’ve received from Obama on the economic front, but I know it ain’t leadership. That said, I think Obama also raised expectations to the point where he couldn’t possibly meet them. He’s a great campaigner. Great leader? Not so much.

I don’t judge him on whether the economy has righted itself. I judge him on effectiveness, honesty, intellectual inegrity. He’s come up way short.
