The Foxie News Team and Sarah Palin are enjoying their mock indignation over the White  House Christmas card this year.  When will Sarah Palin’s opinion stop tickling our funny bone?  Sit back and share the hypocrisy….

Nothing says hypocrisy like the Foxies….

Fox News has been droning on for weeks about the secular war on Christmas.  It seems that they are part of the war.

From the Washingon Examiner:

And strangely enough, for a network known for reporting on the “War on Christmas,” all the Biblical references have been stripped out of the song “Joy to the World,” and instead replaced with Fox-friendly lyrics. Here’s a taste of the song: “Joy to the world for Fox News Channel, consistently number one, we are the network that viewers choose, fair and balanced news, see our ratings we don’t lose, beating the rest in TV news,” reads the first stanza. Later ones give kudos to Fox News personalities Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Shepard Smith, Megyn Kelly, Neil Cavuto, Bret Baier and the folks on “The Five.”

So, is  this a lot of reindeer crap or what?  How does Fox News get ahead with their mock war on Christmas.  Their card is funny.  I have no problem with it.  Good healthy competition is always fun.  But…why act like the President and his family are held to a higher standard regarding Christianity, of all things?
Shame of the Fox News Channel for this one.

18 Thoughts to “The Evil, Dog-Themed White House Christmas Card”

    LOL!!!

    I would say this ridiculousness is shocking, but I’m honestly not surprised by almost anything Fox News produces or by the comments falling from Palin’s mouth. Thanks for sharing! Perhaps we should start a Fox Comedy Network…bet we’d have enough material:)

    I have a suggestion to make this card more topical. Shoot the scene outside, and have Bo the dog next to a fire hydrant labelled “U.S. Taxpayers” with his leg lifted.

    1. He would have to put on his HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TEA PARTY CAUCUS sweater to make it meaningful.

      @Cato

    Apparently most of the White House trees have a Bo theme so why not the Christmas card? It’s entertaining to watch the Foxies and SP get bent out of shape over minutiae.

    1. @bvbl,

      I like watching them stir the pot and get everyone worked into a frenzy over some perceived insult to Christianity or Christmas. Working up a crowd, as it were. It reminds me of the woman who was stirring up one of the first tea party crowds with Glenn Beck. (the one everyone would like us to forget we ever saw). She didn’t know the camera was on her.

    Fox News – seems like an oxymoron.

    I thought the war on Christmas was started a few years ago….

    1. @Pat,

      Wrong war. Iraq is over. The war on Christmas will never be over, according to the Foxies.

    Two questions for you: 1.) do you still pay FICA and 2.) is your home paid off?

    1. No my home is not paid off. I pay a little FICA I think.

    OY VAY! Let people truly celebrate the meaning of Christ-Mass and not buy one gift and only give to the needy instead. How many times does the news talk about Christ-Mass in terms of retail profits!

    Give me a break. I think I might throw up my potato latkes over this stupid story 😉

    Moon, thanks for the laugh…needed a big one today. Maddow tickled me with the spin on “Satan” (SNL Church Lady anyone?). Not one reference to legend behind the Poinsetta of the little girl in Mexico whereby the plant got the nickname of the Christmas Star. Still, was a good laugh today!

  8. @Ray,

    I loved Church Lady skits!!!!!

  9. Check out the 5 Myths of Christmas. The Foxies might want to trot this one out for their misinformed viewership.

    I applaud the Bo theme. Its much better than their previous Mao theme.

    I find it ironic that you watch more Fox than I, a conservative, do. 🙂

    1. why do you assume how much Fox I watch? You gotta know what is coming at you.

    2. @Cargo, what Mao theme would that be?

  11. Cargosquid

    @Moon-howler
    It was a snarky comment about the Mao Christmas ornament found during the first Christmas.

    And I assume you watch more Fox than I because I rarely watch Fox. You have them as sources more often than I watch it.

    Ah, the Mao theme that the art-ignorant rightwing dreamed up. That’s old news but for a trip down memory lane…
