I am appalled that any elected official would speak down from the dais in such a nasty tone to a private citizen. This man, Jeff Bergman, was polite and was simply voicing his opinion. He insulted no one. He expressed his concern and his wishes for his community. He spoke as a resident and a father. For his efforts he was bellowed at, insulted and berated by our elected chairman.
NO private citizen should be afraid to speak for fear of being publically upbraided by Corey Stewart. Corey, you owe this man an apology! He was there to let the BOCS know his community’s feelings about the Catharpin Park. He was polite and respectful. He was treated rudely.
I also expect you probably don’t care more for the park site being discussed than anyone else in the county. You were an obnoxious, bloviating, blowhard drama-queen who owes Jeff Bergman, the gentleman who spoke, an apology as well as the entire Gainesville District an apology.
Learn some manners. We don’t talk to each other like that here in Prince William County. This is still the South, son.
No one here is your whipping boy. SDASTFU!
Ray, I forgot to say thank you. That is valuable ……we will need it another time.
Mike O’Donnell is the man you speak of. He was a school board representative for years. It’s was a 1984 red Corvette. I guess I don’t have to tell you who he bought it from either. This actually a history question for me and my dad. My mom only knew of him and I was very good friends with one of his sons all through school.
History lesson continued. He lived in the neighborhood without street lights. 👿 I think it’s called Sudley.
Thanks, Lafayette. He really thought he was the Principal of Stonewall. Who was principal during the reign of Mike O’Donnell? Wasn’t a resignation forced on him by his appointer?
How do we find out the names of the Horseman?
Moral of this story is….if you make an AH of yourself, regardless of how much time passes, someone will remember.
Corey, remember where you heard the warning. You distinquished yourself yesterday….as the wrong end of a horse. It has been dutifully marked in the books of
WE WON’T FORGET.
@Chris
Where in Sudley? He also selected the football team if I recall correctly. Does that mean he owned Coach Powell?
The Sheriff gave a mighty good history lecture tonight, explaining some political philosphy of the BOCS.
The Sheriff used one of my favorite Jefferson quotes.
The Moon-howler grew up under the shadow of TJ. Corey has nothing in common with Jefferson.
Greenview Ct.
LMAO…Mr. O owning Coach Powell. I’m having flashback to 9th grade gym class. Mr. O had always been very involved with GMFL(Greater Manassas Football League). Corey, listen up on this one too!! He state LAX and football weren’t popular in the county. Excuse me Corey the GMFL is 50 years old. I believe the lower end has a similar football league that’s been around equally as long. I suggest a history class with Jenkins or Caddigan to bring you up to speed on county history.
As for Principals at Stonewall back in my day. Dr Pugh retired(forced out by an angry mob) Then Dr.XXXXX [redacted] was FIRED for supposedly foolin’ around with a student. The guy was creepy. I don’t doubt that one. All the girls were creeped out by him. Then also, during that time (82-86). We went through a host of Supers for the schools. Dr. Kelly came on board the fall after I graduated. He was long overdue. Geesh. I really do have a good memory.
[self redacted]
Pugh, I had forgotten about. What was his first name? Remember Moses? That was after your time. He was a runner with a nasty looking beard. My brother used to drive past him and wanted to open the car door on him going at 55 mph, just because the beard was nasty. Mike Campbell was there. He was one of the good guys so naturally he got moved.
Did Mr. O move out to Gainesville? Why do I think he did? Was he not fired from the school board for being too big of a pita?
@Chris
so lets recall who the supers were….Stuart Beville, Milton Snyder …Doctor Snyder…..Richard Johnson…..Kelly for a long time. Then ther ewas another whose face I recall but whose name I forget. Chris, start date for thinking is your birth.
Fired was term given to parents. XXXX [redacted] was only there a year or two because of the accusations.
I’ll have to talk to my mom about some of these things.
Well he was at [a county high school] for years post when you would have been at SJHS. I am probably going to redact his name and you and I can take it off line. He still lives in the county.
Ok, what was all that about? I was gossiping and I shouldn’t have been. The person still lives in the county or did 3 years ago. The person, to my knowledge, had a very successful career. Given the nature of the gossip, I removed the name.
Had the person really been fired ….oh well….I wouldn’t care. But he wasn’t.
Chris and I just took it off here. We haven’t cleaned up our act.

Our hero!!! Thanks Steve. Yup, THOSE horsemen! (or horse something) They would probably go to jail today. Talk about malfeasance.
Roy Doggett was the one who bragged about having a 5th grade education.
No wonder Manassas has to always defebd uts reputation. Clowns like that can set you back 100 years!!!!
Yeah he looks terrible. Pompous and full of himself. I don’t know how better to describe it other than to say he’s “on the rag”.
