71 Thoughts to “I am a Republican & I have an over-powering urge to say something sh!tty”

  1. SlowpokeRodriguez

Ahhhhh!!! It’s nice to have our own place! 🙂 Let me stretch out a bit and make myself at home!

  2. Kick back. Its the animal room.

  3. Mom

Moon, you have no idea what you’re getting yourself into.

Pokie, get you ass off my couch and fetch me a beer.

  4. Mom

Are the “normal” rules in place in the animal room or can we attack the previously untouchable?

    1. Same rules. Its just that the rest of us won’t have to look unless we chose to. I am reading behind the scenes. There is a glass barrier back there.

  5. I’m just gonna eat my popcorn….

    and watch.

Because, technically, I’m not a Republican.

  6. Mom

Question: What’s the Hillary Clinton KFC special?
Answer: Two small breasts, two large thighs, and two left wings.

  7. Emma

This tickled me when I saw it. Too bad I’m not a Republican.

    1. You can go on in anyway, Emma. If you think like one, that counts.

I am not a Democrat either but I am there with them in Charlotte tonight.

I have not entered the room. I am behind the scenes speaking to you through haz-mat.

  8. SlowpokeRodriguez

So how do my local liberal friends feel about the change in platform?

  9. subtleTurtle

Prince William County sucks. The economy is terrible here even though we are one of the wealthiest communities in the nation where business are adding jobs 100 times faster than almost anywhere else in the country. I complain about traffic but I squeal every time there are investments in new infrastructure. Oh yeah… I live,in a huge sub division of 5,000 square foot I houses built within 10 feet of one another but NO MORE DEVELOPMENT. I am in. Close the door. Oh yeah, and our elected officials should stop going on trade missions that will bring foreign investment to PWC. I like high real estate taxes, so I don’t want the Chinese making taxable investment here. I think that about covers it. Thank you for the forum to comment as a republican. There really are no outlets for we oppressed Randians these days.

  10. Lyssa

Like no mention of God? Again our founding fathers saw the wisdom of including wording that prohibits any ‘religious test’ to be elected. There is actually a big deal being made over this by some. This is the kind of silly thing that makes people roll their eyes. And people without jobs wonder who is really concerned for them.

  11. @SlowpokeRodriguez
Your liberal friends in Charlotte booed when they voted to put Jerusalem and God back into the platform. Apparently they had a vote, needed 2/3’s, and didn’t get it. But they put them back in anyway.

What happened to democracy? They disenfranchised all those votes.
    http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/09/dnc-puts-god-and-jerusalem-back-into-platform-despite-fact-the-motion-obviously-failed-video/

Glad that I’m not watching it.

  12. SlowpokeRodriguez

The poor guy calling for the vote….he looked like he wanted a hole to crawl off into.

  13. Second Alamo

So now 50/50 becomes 67/33 in the eyes of the Dems, and in front of the entire nation yet! Wow that was some voice vote now wasn’t it. They shoved the adoption to the party platform through just as they did Obamacare. That’s just how thy roll. LOL

  14. Marinm

I’m hesitant to post here as I’m not a Republican.

But wanted to provide this little hem from the biased lame street media.

Cooper calls out DWS and the DNC..

  15. Here ya go! This will save everybody a lot of time.

Gotta love Joe Biden! Here’s another poll, but this one is a bit different. They asked 1008 people to use one word to describe Joe Biden. The two most common: “Good” (that’s Starry…..this…good…..that…..bad) and, you guessed it!: Idiot!

  17. SlowpokeRodriguez

I whole-heartedly endorse Sandra Fluke’s speech at the DNC last night. I particularly like her crying about her dust-up with Rush. I am very comfortable with her out there spreading the Democrat word! Go, Sandra!!!

  18. Second Alamo

I feel short changed. Shouldn’t the video of the voice vote be at the head of this thread? A blank space is all we get? Probably Bush’s fault anyway.

    1. You got your own sand box. Quit being greedy.

  19. Second Alamo

Hey, I lean Republican, aren’t I suppose to be greedy ; ) , and what are you doing up so early? Upset, can’t sleep over how the DNC convention is going? I haven’t watched any conventions really, but then I’m probably as well informed as the average Obama voter.

    1. I am always up early and then take a morning nap. I am delighted over the Democratic convention. Thank you for asking.

  20. Cato the Elder

Bill Clinton took some people to school last night. That’s how it’s done.

His presence also effectively underscored how small, insignificant and incompetent Obama is. I like the contrast.

    1. @Cato

Most people won’t walk away that with impression. Clinton and Obama are 2 different people. They threw away the mold with Clinton.

  21. @Moon-howler
    And left the…. mold. 😉

I immediately saw his speech as a clever backhanded compliment to Obama. EVERY time he “supported” Obama, he added a “look what I did better” part. Clinton is what Obama wants to be when he grows up.

  22. Cato the Elder

    Moon-howler :
    @Cato

Bootlicking Obamunists won’t, of course, but I watched in a room full of Democrats and the response across the board was “can we have Bill back please?”

Outside of the cocoon there are a *lot* of people who supported Obama last time that are either switching support or, if they can’t stomach a vote for Romney, just staying home.

    1. Well, that’s what some of them say now. We’ll see how those democrats take a full load of hate spewing Republicans by this Movember.

I am betting that whatever made them vote for Obama in the first place will come racing back on them.

They probably aren’t very informed voters anyway if they expected one person to fix all that was broken in 2008 in 4 years anyway.

Oh, and we all want Bill back. It really has nothing to do with Obama. I would like for him to run again in 2016.

Racism and special interests versus American ideals, entitlements versus responsibility, socialist and incompetent versus business like and demonstrated competence, messianic and cool versus experienced and respected, lier and blame Bush for everything versus one who puts his own money where his mouth is, nobel prize winner versus doing something to earn it, Appointer of polictical hacks versus a builder of professional management teams, Black nationalist versus American nationalist, Big government growth versus private sector growth, Totalitarian health care versus individual responsibility and market driven health care, old public investment ideas versus structural reform, regulation versus markets, subsidies for government employee pensions versus parity for public employees, Abortion on Demand without restriction versus Roe vs Wade limits. Public funding of abortion versus the limited right to an abortion, one who seeks regulatory control over free speech versus a 1st Amendment advocate, one who would deny freedom of religion versus one who actually understands what freedom of religion is, welfare entitlements without work versus welfare support with work, feelings versus the facts, feelings versus the numbers, feelings and the good one can do with other people’s money versus charity, destroyer of Isreal versus ally and supporter of Isreal, supporter of Hamas, versus one who recognizes Hamas as a terrorist group, high gas prices and regulation versu American energy independence, Crony subsidies and crony stimulus versus business decision making.

and on and on, but remember, morals and morality aside every socialist, facist and communist society everywhere voted and even fought for their free goodies first and then later accepted the loss of freedom as part of the price of those free goodies – entitlements. This election is about what price we put on freedom.

Pretty big deal that the President’s speech got moved inside due to, oh, about 0% of rain.

I guess if you’re about to reel off 50 minutes of non-stop and bald-faced lies, you don’t want to take any chances with lightning.

  30. Cato the Elder

Thanks for the thread Moon. See? We just needed a place of our own to fling poo around.

    1. I am pretty much ignoring you all except for an occassional check for libelous stuff that will get us all shut down.

  31. Starryflights

You self-described conservatives have watched more of this democratic convention than I ave, hahaha!

  32. SlowpokeRodriguez

    Starryflights :

It’s like watching the coyote (Democrats) and the Road Runner (Romney)
Actually, the Democratic convention is a little more trashy than Honey Boo-Boo!

That’s 50K people they don’t have to bus in from parts unknown.

  34. I hope their hot tub water doesn’t get cold.

  35. Elena

Slow, are you sure you want me near the hot tub? Wouldn’t want to accidentally drop my plugged in blow dryer as my fingers slip off the temperature gage 😉

    1. Oh Elena, do it. Just call it global warming. 👿

  36. SlowpokeRodriguez

    Love the Redneck hot-tub!

    OOPSIE!!!!

  38. Slowpoke is the only one who said thank you.

    You are welcome slowie!

Someone bitched that they didnt get a picture.

  39. SlowpokeRodriguez

The guy can read a prompter, I’ll give him that much! If he wasn’t completely full of $hit, I could really like Obama. Actually, that’s it. As a person, I think he’s great. I just can’t stand his politics and those that surround him.

  40. Second Alamo

No, I bitched that we didn’t get a VIDEO! Just like a Dem, always modifying facts ; )

  41. Marinm

I heard something about nude hot tub party at MHs?? I’m IN!!

  42. @SA you will have to swim fast to make the picture move.

marin, hop on in. It might be getting a little cold.

  43. @Cargosquid
That is horrible. What are they thinking? Sadly, I expect you would probably get the same silly answers out of GOP delegates also.

People must be thinking ….not even sure. I was thinking dividends…but I am greedy.

I think maybe they were thinking about what CEO’s make. I know I was appalled to learn that the anthem CEO made 10 million bucks a year. That is obscene. I made sure I voted against salaries and CXO pay every proxy I have gotten since then, just to be nasty. I knew it did no good. I was acting on principle.

What really pisses me off is the dividends that could be going to shareholders. GRRRRRRRR

  44. @Moon-howler
I don’t think that you’re gong to get GOP delegates to support banning profits.

    That’s all Democratic thought.

  45. Elena

    @ Slow LOLOLOLOL 😉

  46. @Marinm
You REALLY don’t want to see that.

Really. You don’t. What is seen…cannot be unseen.

  47. SlowpokeRodriguez

    Chris Matthews, MSNBC:

“I always figured that if Bill Clinton landed on Mars, he would know how to do it with them. He would know how to reproduce, he would know everything. He’d just instinctively know how to talk to people. They’d be laughing in about five minutes. The Martians.”

    Bias? What Bias?
