Layabout and freeloader: What Mitt Romney really thinks of me….

If the deal wasn’t already sealed, here it goes.

From MotherJones.com:

During a private fundraiser earlier this year, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney told a small group of wealthy contributors what he truly thinks of all the voters who support President Barack Obama. He dismissed these Americans as freeloaders who pay no taxes, who don’t assume responsibility for their lives, and who think government should take care of them. Fielding a question from a donor about how he could triumph in November, Romney replied:

There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.

Romney went on: “[M]y job is is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

They hate us because they hate us?

Every since 9-11 people have asked the question why?  All sorts of platitudes  have been give:  “They” are jealous of our freedoms, our material wealth, our material possessions.  None of these answers made the least bit of sense to me.  Why would any of those things make 11 grown men get in an aircraft and drive it into a building as a soaring speed, killing themselves and others? It doesn’t make sense.  Who is “they?”

Morning Joe, aka Joe Scarborugh seems to think he has the answer.  He say regardless of who he speaks with in the intelligence community, he gets told the same thing when he asks the question, why do they hate us:

1.  their religion

2.  their culture

3.  peer pressure

They hate us because they hate us.  No other reason.  Everything else is just an excuse.

I am not sure I agree with that and I am not sure I want to go to war over it if it is true.  Who is “they?”  Are we talking Middle Easterners?  Muslims?

Is Morning Joe right or is he full of it?

Prince William seen as key battleground

Richmond times Dispatch:

WOODBRIDGE, Va. —

In June 2008, Democrat Barack Obama kicked off his general election campaign at the Nissan Pavilion in western Prince William County.

Five months later, he closed his presidential campaign with an election-eve rally that drew about 85,000 people to the Prince William County Fairgrounds.

This Friday, Obama returns to the area, holding a re-election rally in Manassas, where GOP nominee Mitt Romney campaigned Aug. 11 with his running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan.

Prince William, a booming Northern Virginia exurb of 413,000 residents, is home to some of Virginia’s most prominent conservatives, including Del. Robert G. Marshall, R-Prince William, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli and Corey A. Stewart, chairman of the county’s Board of Supervisors. Yet Obama carried Prince William by 25,000 votes in 2008, becoming the first Democratic nominee to win the county — and the state — in 44 years.
