From Politicususa.com:

Apparently for Romney, the idea of a round table to discuss education doesn’t involve hearing from the experts gathered.

Cheryl, a teacher from Colorado, says when she attempted to give Romney a few of her ideas, he silenced her by saying, “I didn’t ask you a question.”

That’s really too bad.  If no one wanted to hear from teachers, Cheryl should not have been asked to serve on the committee.

Who is it that tried to tell me there was no war on public educators?

I wish there was video of the meeting! She sounds very credible to me. How come VA hasn’t been able to get out of NCLB?

  2. They have been excused from some of it. I am not sure of the details though.

I thought the same thing about the meeting with Romney. I would like to see that video.

    This is an Obama-Biden ad.

    1. Yes. I figured it would be seen as that regardless. It doesn’t really matter. Everything that I put up gets treated the same.

I would have probably described it as a testimonial.

What a despicable and disgusting thing for Romney to do. Can’t believe those idiots chose such a bitter and humorless man to represent them. I guess he represents the Repugs really well.

Good to know you were there as a witness, Starry. Otherwise, I might have questioned this story.

    1. I am not 100% with that one either, Emma. 85% but not 100%. There has been such an attack on public education in the past couple of years, it is difficult to assess what is straight truth vs hyperbole.

I haven’t gotten over Christie telling that woman off and to mind her own business. I do think that is fair to question an elected official who doesn’t send kids to public schools. Maybe he can’t because of security issues, but he needed to acknowledge her concerns.

back to Romney…I haven’t heard him be quite that rude so perhaps that was that lady’s interpretation.
