River Oaks Precinct: Real voter suppression

These people make me Prince William Proud.  6 voting machines for how many thousand people?   Just under 5,000 registered voters.   These folks were stuck here until 11 pm.  How many had to leave without casting their vote?

The people in these lines are the faces of REAL America, REAL Virginia and REAL Prince William County.

Shame on the county for not providing adequate voting equipment.

2,802 Votes were cast at River Oaks Precint.   2,373 of these votes were cast for President Obama.

What can be done to ensure that voters never again have to be stuck in lines this long to vote?  This incident is a county-wide disgrace.   Where does the buck stop?  Who do we voice our outrage to?

Virginia: the swing state–PWC: the bellwether county for America

7  Counties to watch on Election Night:

Prince William County, VA Virginia will be one of the first states to report results on Tuesday night, and Prince William County is the most important county there. Romney needs to win the county to win Virginia. George W. Bush and Bob McDonnell were able to win the county rather solidly. There has been an influx of immigrants in the past decade, and as a consequence it has a somewhat more Democratic lean than before. This will also be a good check to see if the Romney and Obama campaigns’ assumptions about the demographics of the electorate are correct.

I snickered when I first heard that the eyes of the nation would be on Prince William County.  Whaaaat??  My Prince Billy Bob County?

I think the days of Prince Billy Bob are long gone.  Long over.  A new prince has arrived and he ain’t named Billy Bob.

4 More Years!!!

This morning I woke up to an email from one of my best friends…certainly my friend of longest endurance. It said the following:

It’s not nice to f*ck with women! (or Latinos, blacks, young, etc.)

That pretty much says it all.  As Ivan has said, there is a lot to discuss.  Let’s have at it.
