This morning I woke up to an email from one of my best friends…certainly my friend of longest endurance. It said the following:

It’s not nice to f*ck with women! (or Latinos, blacks, young, etc.)

That pretty much says it all.  As Ivan has said, there is a lot to discuss.  Let’s have at it.

40 Thoughts to “4 More Years!!!”

  1. Steve Randolph

    Bronco Bamma Rides Again!!

(Due, in no small part, to the help of his loyal pal – Big Dog)

    1. And his other loyal pal Moon.

  2. Elena

and his loyal pal Elena 😉

  3. Censored bybvbl

Hats off to all of you!

  4. The nay sayers are already at it. Fox will have plenty to whine about for 4 years and they can also start denigrating anyone else Democratic.

Meanwhile, I hope everyone who tittered, laughed and made phun of Elena and me this past year as we wrote about the real war on women is laughing last. It is very real and it is going to stop.

This election should send a strong message–try to control women, we will control your job.

  5. I hereby heartily support every single Obama and Democrat plan. Full speed ahead! Go! Go! Go! Raise the debt ceiling NOW! Why wait until December? Sequester the budget now! Why wait? ObamaCare? Why wait? Implement it now. Raise the taxes, lets get this deficit under control! Raise those taxes and grow this economy with more government spending!
Abortions on demand! Why should women be restricted by any laws on that? Free contraception for women!

If I can’t beat ’em….join ’em. I’ve seen the error of my ways.

    1. how about some moderate plans that benefit all Americans?

Tell me, what does abortion on demand mean to you? Let’s discuss that sound-byte.

  6. Steve Randolph

“A second chance. We hope they make the best of it.”

Hope, pray, push, hound, demand …. they make the best of it.

  7. Starryflights

The American people have spoken. They want our nation’s leaders to cooperate to solve our nation’s problems.

  8. The stock market is tanking today. Its down over 300 points. Not to worry….its just the stock holders version of moving to Canada. They will be back.

What can you do? Buy up blue chip stock. Consider it a fire sale. The stock market did great under Obama. It will continue to do so. This is just a temper tantrum of sorts.

  9. @Moon-howler
Moderate plans? Like what and who defines “moderate?”

I’m just supporting the Democratic plans whatever they are and changing my position on abortion. Full speed ahead. Obama’s plans are going to save America. He said so. Let’s get it done!

Abortion on demand: whenever a woman desires one. Who am I to tell them what to do?

    1. Martyrdom doesn’t become you.

No one has ever asked you to change your opinion on abortion.

So if you define abortion on demand as whenever a woman desires one, isn’t that what we have first trimester? After that there are more state regulation as defined by Roe vs Wade.

With the law, which is defined by Roe vs Wade, who should decide when a woman has an abortion? First trimester which is pre-viability, should that woman decide or should some stranger who doesn’t know her decide?

  10. @Moon-howler
I’m not doing it because someone asked me. I’m seeing the writing on the wall and giving up. If the Democrat plans are so great and they’re going to save America, let’s do them.
Even my wife voted for Obama, after deriding him last year as impossible to vote for. She listened to the election propaganda and was terrified that Romney was going to magically outlaw abortion. So, since I respect her intelligence…I’m just following her lead.

The woman should decide. If abortion is ok by principle, why should it be limited? Who other than the woman, should have the right or power to tell her WHEN she should get an abortion? If abortion is legal nationally, why should there be state limitations? States shouldn’t be able to do that. There might be someone like Cuccinelli there to affect the law.

I’m not going to have an abortion. Liberal women want to be have that ability. let them have all the abortions that they want. Other states have laws stating you can have it in the 3rd trimester. So…lets simplify it and give more liberty to women. That’s what you want…the war on women to stop. So…lets enact the Democrat platform. All of it.

    1. You should listen to your wife.

She is most definitely right. One supreme court appointment…that’s all it would take.

  11. Oh…and open the borders. If undocumented people deserve amnesty while they are here for only a short time, why should we stop their families. Let everyone in. We don’t need to change any laws. We can follow President Obama’s lead and just not enforce those laws that are based upon the failed policies of the past.

  12. Starryflights

Comprehensive immigration does not amount to open borders.

  13. Broad based amnesty is. Because if we give it once, which we did, and we do so again, which as been suggested, then what’s the point of borders.

Let’s have everyone and anyone come on in and build the diversity of America. Because that is America’s strength!

  14. IVAN

There seems to be a lot of the usual voices missing from today’s post-election discussion . Should we declare a suicide alert? The dark master sounds like he needs a big dose of Prozac.

  15. Starryflights

No one has proposed broad based amnesty or open borders. The Dream Act did not allow open borders or amnesty. Most reform proposals require fines and penalties be paid for legal.status, which would only be available to those who have been here for 20 years or so. That is hardly amnesty.

I would venture to say that had your party passed immigration form back in 2007, you may have gotten enough Hispanic voters to make McCain President in 2008. It might very well have been McCain’s reelection you would be celebrating today. But forget it. Perhaps after losing the next 20 years oif national elections, you might figure it out.

  16. Sure, lets give the Dream Act amnesty to those that have been here for 20 years…or six….as long as they meet whatever requirements. I mean…its all arbitrary. We can make it up as we go along.

And yes…there have been broad based amnesty suggestions. Reagan signed one.

So…if its fine to allow some in…let them all in. Why not? Let’s go for it.

    1. I totally support the dream act or mini versions of the dream act. I don’t believe in punishing children or keeping them ignorant.

  17. Allen West lost but he refuses to concede. He claims something is wrong with the voting machines. Too funny.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

The smartest thing ever to appear on the dark screen:

    Blue Virginia said:

What can you do? Allow me to suggest:

    1) Tell the religious right to take a hike. Even the most cursory glance at history shows that NOTHING good ever comes of mixing religion and politics. Politics is concerned about the here and now, religion the hereafter. Government should protect your right to believe whatever you want, but those beliefs shouldn’t affect governance. Just because you believe in a moral code developed two millennia ago by cattle sacrificing primitives doesn’t mean you should force those views on everyone else.

    2) If you think you have something interesting or intelligent to say about rape, just shut up. You don’t.

    3) As said above, stop all this so-cleverly-disguised racist dog whistle blowing. White people are going to be a minority soon, so it really doesn’t behoove you to talk about “welfare queens” or “that element” or any of the other coded racist language. No, we can’t roll the clock back to Jim Crow days, I’m sorry. Give up on the racism.

    4) Same goes for gays. You’ve already lost that one. Nobody, ever, has managed to come up with a single good argument against gay marriage. Not one. Nobody is going to make you gay marry, so just STFU on that one.

    5) Embrace science. Stop trying to push creationism, and climate change denial, and other thoroughly discredited pseudoscience. Every day, science shows what it can do: cure diseases, speed information flow, predict weather, put robots on other planets. The cell phone in your pocket is a greater miracle that anything described in the Bible. You keep dumping on science and learning, and science and learning keep whupping you like a rented mule. People are noticing.

    6) Push the small government thing. I mean really push it. You haven’t been. So far small government has just been code for “let’s stick it to poor folks by chopping welfare.” Meanwhile you shovel tax cuts to corporations like they’re going out of style, push for more government intrusion into our bedrooms, advocate for warrantless searches and illegal wiretapping and torture. Bush talked about small government and then vastly increased the size of government by creating DHS. See, here’s the thing. Liberals do dumb stuff. That soda ban in NYC or the ban on transfats? Stupid. But I can still buy a big soda or transfats somewhere. When republicans do dumb stuff, it completely outlaws something. You want to get rid of abortions, ostensibly because of “da widdle baybees,” but really because you’re stuck in a two-millennia old morality that frowns on recreational sex and you’re jealous of those of us who don’t follow those outdated ideas. Knock that off. If you don’t like abortions, don’t have them. If you don’t like Muslim churches, don’t go to them. If you don’t like sex on tv turn it off. If you don’t like gay marriage don’t gay marry. Stop forcing your delusions on the rest of us through government. Push the limited, responsible government thing.

    7) Quit whining about taxes. You want to live in a society with a military and roads and bridges and regulations to make sure you food and water are safe, taxes are the price you pay. Stop trying to turn this country into Somalia (no social safety nets, nonexistent federal government, no health care, no taxes, all the guns you want, no burdensome environmental regulations). In other words, make the teahadis take a hike.

    That’ll do for starters.

Or, you can run around for four more years crying, “WHAR BIRF CERTIFIKAT, WHAR?” and see where that gets you, since it worked so well last time

  19. Allen West should just give up. It doesn’t matter if there was something shady going on or not. There’s no such thing as voter fraud. He needs to embrace the idea that the majority has spoken and comply.

    1. Conspiracy Conspiracy!!!

You know we have people voting up until 11 pm last night here in PWC.

Something shady was going on. Not even enough voting machines.

  20. IVAN

Allen West could care less if the majority has spoken. Allen West only cares about Allen West.

  21. punchak

    @Moon-howler
I hope to high heaven that Allen West is out of Congress. He’s an insufferable egomaniac. Nasty besides! Sent some dollars to his opponent, because of my intense dislike of West.

    1. West is just real trash. He needed to go.

  22. IVAN

Moon, the Dark Master must be taking a nap. He never lets a post like that show on his blog. Perhaps the lack of comments over there has caused him to publish anyone now.

  23. Censored bybvbl

Yeah, I’m surprised that post remains. I had my husband read it this morning because I was sure it would go poof within minutes. Haha – maybe the die hard BVBL yes-men can’t see it and only we contrarians see it.

    1. Maybe the dark master is even slicker than we thought. Remember when he had it set so you thought your comment was there but it really wasn’t? You found out when you went to work or to another computer. Maybe he has it set so he thinks HE doesn’t see it now but we still can. ho ho ho

Too much Rush…he was apoplectic today.

  25. Too much Rush? In reply to me?

I didn’t listen to him today. I’m a convert. I’m completely serious. Let’s push Obama’s agenda at full steam. The GOP should just vote “present” and let it go.

    1. You sure sound like him today. I thought he had abducted you for a minute.

Just make sure when you are pushing the Obama agenda that you fully understand it.

  26. Censored bybvbl

M-h, the dark master must have thought everyone was a single computer household or on a single system. The first time it happened I thought it was a cookie problem. What a wussy that blowhard was!

  27. Look what he created. One thing is this blog. He also gave Krystal Ball lots of attention. Look where she is now.

  28. @Moon-howler
Rush was promoting the Obama agenda?

Why do I have to understand Obama’s and the Democrat’s agenda before advocating it? Pelosi said that we had to pass ACR to find out what’s in it.

So, I’m just taking them at their word. I say let’s enact it all, no matter what it is.
Flexible spending accounts are being limited now…. good. That will put more money into the tax revenues.
The administration just backed the UN gun control treaty. THAT will prevent citizens in other countries from rebelling against their governments. I trust that our gov’t won’t allow a treaty to supersede our freedoms, though.

  29. Starryflights

Greg Letiecq is an idiot and a dismal failure.

    1. Starry, regardless of what you personally think of Greg Letiecq, he is not an idiot and absolutely not a failure. While I don’t like his politics or his methods, I have never doubted his intelligence or talents. He has a great deal of both. I wish he would use both differently.

Character assassination is character assassination, and that includes Greg.

  30. Starryflights

    @Black Velvet Reporter
I like that “Whar da certifkat, what da ceftifkat”. That was funny!
