Mr. Kotter, Mr. Kotter! Please, let me answer! [Best Horshak imitation]
Joe–yes. You are being a chauvanist. You interrupt, you talk over, and you dismiss. That is pretty much the definition of ‘chauvanist’ in modern times. Furthermore, you are really getting to be pretty much just your basic A-hole. Let’s not fancy it up.

General Chauvin would not be amused.
This show is by far the best of its kind. They get thoughtful, knowledgeable, articulate guests and they maintain a good mix across the political spectrum. But Joe can be insufferable at times and these incidents seem to me (maybe I’m just getting more sensitive to it) to be happening with greater frequency. Someone ought to slip something in his coffee to just take a bit of the edge off.
She did apologize. Further she went on to say that of all the people at MSNBC he was the last person that fit that characterization. I enjoy the program mostly because they are not looking for an endorsement of any kind – they are truly seeking opinion and insight. Joe’s frustration with the Republicans and the lack of congressional interest in governing has increased visibly and rightfully. Perhaps that’s what we’re seeing.
@Scout
I totally agree with you, Scout, starting with the notion that the show is the best of its kind.
I like the balance.
Joe is becoming more and more insufferable. He needs to get over himself.
Where did Willie Geist end up? He seemed to be a stabilizing influence–altough I can’t think of anything he really did othe than be there.
@Lyssa,
I am not sure what she had to apologize for. He does occassionally make chauvanistic statements but that isn’t his worse problem….he displays chauvanistic behavior on a daily basis.
I do agree with you about the show and I think you might have honed in on the cause of his recent behavior.
I guess Mika has her own set of problems also. She is rather condemning of people who don’t agree with her dietary rules. She hides it poorly.
