You have a neat wife. Her entire face smiles!!!!

  3. I hope everyone got to see Makers. I learned a lot actually.

question for you, which of the females featured do you think impacted more women and empowered them?

That’s difficult to say. I always admired Shirley Chisholm. She had real spunk.
Seeing Ellen Goodman made me miss the wonderful columns she used to write for the Post.
Sandra O’Connor was a pioneer and has maintained her stature as an extraordinary person, not just woman.
I’d like to se the show again and digest it a bit more.

I think the documentary was good for giving a brief synopsis of what women have faced for the last fifty years. There was a lot of territory to cover in a small amount of time. I think more time could have been spent interviewing young women and finding out why they’ve made the choices they have and what they think the future holds. Birth control and access to abortion will always play an important role in women’s lives. Those issues will continue to mobilize women.

I miss Barbara Jordan – a good orator.

    1. I think once young women realize that this issue is still being threatened, Hell with hath no fury.

    Oh, yes! Barbara Jordan!
There was a woman who knew how to give a speech. Her voice was wonderful.

I recently watched the lifetime move of the woman who was attacked by her husband while the cops just watched her being stabbed! She was one brave woman.
