Hopping down the bunny trail…..Hippity Hoppity Easter’s on its way….
Joyous Passover and Easter to all.
My grandkids and I are looking forward to Seder dinner at Elena’s tonight, complete with hopping frogs. She told me I got to be death of the first born in the pick a plague.
Total cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will be $4-6 trillion. The guy that said the Iraq war would end up costing $200 billion got fired for inflating his estimate (which ended up being too low by a factor of 10) and others in the Bush administration — Paul Wolfowitz — said the war would pay for itself thanks to Iraqi oil. The results speak for themselves. The real winner of the Iraq and Afghan wars … China.

Shall we ask the question about who lied? Thanks Moe.
Sorry I stopped my subscription to the Atlantic. Thanks for bringing it to mind, Moe!
Off topic – The Caps won in a shoot-out tonigt against the Sabres!
Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli II failed to disclose for nearly a year that he had substantial stock holdings in a company, even though disclosure is required by law and his office was defending the state in a tax lawsuit filed by the company.

The entire thing sounds very suspicious. @ Cindy
Texas DA slain in his home; had armed himself
By NOMAAN MERCHANT and NICHOLAS RICCARDI | Associated Press – 3 hrs ago
KAUFMAN, Texas (AP) — Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland took no chances after one of his assistant prosecutors was gunned down two months ago. McLelland said he carried a gun everywhere he went and was extra careful when answering the door at his home.
“I’m ahead of everybody else because, basically, I’m a soldier,” the 23-year Army veteran said in an interview less than two weeks ago.
On Saturday, he and his wife were found shot to death in their rural home just outside the town of Forney, about 20 miles from Dallas.

So much for the “good guy with a gun” theory of gun rights advocates. Didn’t prevent him or his wife from being shot to death.
I lied. I got to be darkness. That is probably the least harmful of the plagues.
@Starry
Didn’t seem to help them much at all. That is a strange case for sure.
@Moon-howler
The other interesting thing about this company is that the governor’s wife has been touting this worthless product AND the governor has received many “favors” from Williams, the owner. Yes, it really is a fish deal.
John Kelly’s piece in today’s WaPo (April-1-2013. Metro B-3) on the
area’s great 19th century “Mole Hole” underground commuter
system fails to mention the remains of the large Manassas station beneath
the Candy Factory in Old Town (remaining tracks can be seen in a display
on the first floor). The underground carriages, pushed by compressed
air, brought “Metro” to our community over a hundred years ago.
We would be fools not to remember it.
Manassas must be hard up for news. The mystery starbuck guests started quite a number of rumors. No one knows who they were. I got that from the horse’s mouth. They were not necessarily secret service.
The dark master crows about NRA awards and accuses some other politician of infanticide. What’s wrong with this picture? 20 babies killed in Newtown, Connecticut. Not a word said about that.
The dark master must have his head up his….dark master.
Now that’s twisted. How about those 20 little children who were gunned down in cold blood? Those little children with names, with mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters?
Twisted.
No matter, in response to the shootings, CN is enacting some if the most stringent gun control laws in the nation. The pathetic little man known as the dark master can yell and scream all he wants about that inside his dark cage. Abortion remains legal throughout most of the nation and will remain so indefinitely. The dark man is an insignificant nothing.
Kudos to Chris Christie for restricting the ages for tanning beds – http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2013/04/02/NJ-Governor-Signs-Legislation-Making-It-Illegal-To-Use-Tanning-Beds-Under-Specific-Age – but I wonder why FoxNews has not gone after him the way they have gone after Bloomberg. I guess different rules for different folks.
Sure, I do not like the nanny state, but we are a dumb creature, and assume that everything being sold to us is safe and healthy.
I guess it all depends on whose nanny is stating. [evil grin]
Maybe Christie has been forgiven for being polite to the president.
No abortion coverage on any policy in Virginia by the Third Reich in Richmond.
Thanks Senator Colgan, for nothing.
Your personal beliefs should not be MY laws.
And the asshole award goes to Bob Marshall. Yes, you, Side Show Bob:
Republican Del. Robert G. Marshall, the legislature’s most ardent abortion foe, provoked gasps, groans and grimaces within the House chamber when he announced he would abstain on the vote because he opposed what he considered an overly broad exception allowing abortions to save a pregnant woman’s life.

What a totally obnoxious thing to say.
The Democrats cant even get anyone to run against him? Come on Harry….you can do better than this.
Let’s see, are Virginia politicians ever going to tire of imposing behavior standards on women?
Aren’t these the same people who were whining about being forced to have insurance?
They think its perfectly ok to tell me what I can buy with my own money.
Also photo IDs are now required at the polls. Give me a break. Is that going to make those lines move faster?
I am very tired of Gov. Mc Ultra-sound. I wish those pollsters would call back now. what an earful they would get.
Furthermore, the Guv. hires bullies to “man” snicker snicker his phones.
JJ dinner is now $100. I would expect to see something for my money, like at least a candidate to run against Bob Marshall.
If the Democrats are going to put on their Big Boy clothes its time to start playing for real.
So far I haven’t seen Jack!
Ann Wheeler was the real thing. She ran. Let’s see some more folks get in the game to win.
Cigarette sales are restricted why not tanning beds. Good job Gov Christie!
Cooch is challenging the ruling that the state’s crimes against nature law is unconstitutional, but he won’t say if he or any of his staff have ever engaged in a crime against nature as it is defined in the law.
http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2013/04/ken-cuccinelli-crimes-against-nature-prison-capacity
What moron would charge someone with a “crime” that was no longer a crime as decreed by the SCOTUS?
There were plenty of other things to charge that D-bag with. Crimes against nature?
Maybe that’s what is wrong with Cooch….Please stop me….don’t make me say it. Ewwwww!
Let’s put it another way…maybe we should send Bill Clinton over to have a little boy to boy talk about what might be missing in the Cooch’s life.
It appears that Virginia is due another national public flogging.
I think the PWC Democrats deserve one too if they can’t produce a candidate to challenge Marshall. It seems that we may have to turn to Manassas Park to counter the offensive clod.
Marshall called the language of the bill “pathetic.” He objected to making exceptions for victims of “an alleged act of rape or incest” or women whose lives are threatened by their pregnancy.
“It’s designed to get people off the hook,” Marshall said. “It doesn’t stop abortion … You don’t need any life-of-the-mother exceptions in the United States.”
from the Fairfax Station Patch
I’ve been getting emails and phone calls to participate in organizing and outreach efforts … by local republicans, including the opportunity to be the first on my block with a Cooch for Gov tshirt (link below). I have heard nothing, not a single word, from democrats. We showed in November that Dems have the potential and the numbers if they just had some leadership and organization. From what I’m seeing, props to the Repubs for working hard and smart.
http://dfj6543.nationbuilder.com/our_1st_gop_neighborhood_knock
Don’t count on PWC Democrats showing any initiative. Those were the days.
Submitted with ONE comment: OMG. Now the progressives want collective “ownership” of our children.

Want some cross pollination.

Actually, paying firms to touch Democrat voters isn’t something I would characterize as working smart, and tells me that the GOP is still working with the same dog@&it data it was back in Nov. 2012.
Who says Moe is a Democrat?
I used my super-human powers of deductive reasoning based on the fact that the sentence started with a personal pronoun and referenced “Dems.”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ICruG–9Tc
I interpreted it as meaning PWC rather than WE the Democrats.
I have just never heard Moe refer to himself as a Democrat.
