What a great concept!

brosurance

This is a MUST-SEE website.  It’s probably one of the more engaging websites I have seen about young adults needing health care insurance.

I keep hearing about how Americans will be living off the backs of young adults under Obamacare.  Wait just a minute there….!!!!

What age group has the most automobile accidents?  What  age group has the most pregnancies?  What age group participates the most in sports, especially contact sports and extreme sports where the most injuries occur?

I have never heard any good reason convincing me that young people should not have health care insurance.   I can think up about 100 compelling reasons why they should.  Apparently, so can Colorado.

The people I hear scoffing at the thought of young people having insurance simply are encouraging young folks to be irresponsible.   Many 20-somethings don’t want to part with their walking around money.  Failure to provide that measure of protection can often leave young folks with huge bills that strap them for at least a decade–a decade when they are trying to pay off college loans, start families, buy houses, and a host of other things that those just getting started do with their money.

Seriously, can anyone in their right mind  honestly tell me that they would advise their own kids to just not get health coverage?  Mine own have had some lags from when Anthem pushed them out of mom’s nest into the cold harsh world at age 22.   It isn’t a comfortable feeling as a parent.  Of course, young people think they are invincible and immortal.

Being immortal doesn’t get you very far if you fall off a roof, have a car accident, or an unexpected pregnancy.  Ker Ching Ker Ching!

Good job, Colorado, Good job.  Check out their website.

Very clever.

On a less than sterling note, 11 counties in Colorado are attempting to form the 51st state.  [eye-roll]

One Thought to “http://gotinsurancecolorado.org/ Get that brosurance!”

“Don’t tap into your beer money to cover those medical bills. We got it covered.”

Wrong, wrong, wrong message, on so many levels.
