Rightwingwatch.org:

Mike Huckabee closed out his remarks at last night’s “Star Spangled Sunday” event by recounting how, many years ago, he used to watch Arkansas Razorbacks basketball games when they were re-broadcast late at night, especially when he already knew that they had won the game when it was played live earlier in the day because, no matter what the score was at any point, he knew that his team would ultimately win.

Huckabee urged those in attendance to apply this same lesson in response to the threat from radical Islam, saying that they should read the Bible in order to realize that the Christians will defeat the Muslims in the end

The sons of Ishmael? Come on, Huckabee, these aren’t the crusades.

I actually hope that most of the Muslims agree with us and want to get rid of terrorists who insist that only one brand of Islam is practiced. Why would he try to pit the entire Islamic world against Christians!! That really isn’t what this is about.

First he throws down the gauntlet by dividing us clearly into Christians vs Muslim. Then he declares us the victors. Next thing he will be wondering why there are religious wars. What a dumb ass.

Well, my goodness, Madam, you just saw Huckabee give a pep talk to a multi-racial group of Christian believers who are now likely to give good support to the POTUS-led effort against ISIL.

    1. I saw Huckabee once again make a huge ass of himself. What a divisive remark to make.

ISIS has murdered many more Muslims than Christians. I expect he will probably want to go out an burn a few Korans just to punctuate his stupid point.

Do he or Pat Robertson ever think before they open their mouths? There are some very intelligent Christian scholars and clergy out there who make intelligent remarks. Why do people like Robertson and Huckabee always go for the dumb ass remarks? I am tired of people making Christians look stupid.

Not to forget the same kind of American Christian believers who have been out in West Africa on the front lines of the battle against Ebola — and on their own dimes.

Oh, I am sure that the Huck, as a good and faithful Baptist, will forgive you competely for your unkind observations and ad hominem attack.

I just can’t resist to reply some here…

“I actually hope that most of the Muslims agree with us and want to get rid of terrorists who insist that only one brand of Islam is practiced. ”

Yes! Most educated Muslims do agree. But the key word here is “educated” or literate. In so many third world countries (just like Europe way back when), many citizens lack the ability to read or write in their first language, let alone be able to read and comprehend the Quran in Arabic. Yes, they maybe able to recite in Arabic, but they do not fully understand the words they recite (like me and prayers in Latin). Even if given a Quran transliterated into their own language, many can’t read it either simply because they can’t read. Sooooo…the mullahs (many of which can’t read either), are the ones who impart religious teaching to the semi-literate masses, who take the mullahs’ words as truth and end up in a “crusade” against other Islamic sects/Christianity/the WEST. Then throw in poverty, lack of opportunity in one’s own country, zealots, social media ATTENTION, etc… and a new crusade is born. No one religion ever “wins” as far heaven/salvation/GOD is concerned. It’s just the same argument again and again religiously. Sorry Huck…take a gander at history. No religion “wins”.
