Thank goodness for Amazon Prime–probably the best money I will ever spend. Love those gift cards. my oldest granddaughter asked (at a family gathering) who wanted an Amazon gift card for Christmas. Nearly all hands shot up.
Mopsy isn’t totally stupid. I took notes. I went to bed one happy gift-buyer that night. Doesn’t get much easier. If you order from amazon, the containers are great. No wrapping necessary and the tin is free.
I asked for one thing. Just one thing. A bottle of Baileys. That’s something I rarely buy for myself. I am difficult to buy for. I really enjoy giving other people things more than getting.
There IS one thing I want though….ho ho ho….Elena knows. She and I will celebrate a birthday lunch after the first of the year.
Merry Christmas back at you, Moon.
Will Santa be good to you or does Mrs. W have your pelt nailed to the wall?
Just had the usual family Christmas Eve gathering at the old home place. Grandkids are growing so fast that we may have to add an extra room for the future. Great time was had by all — except when one of the cooks had to run outside when a frying pan caught fire, filling the whole house with smoke and setting off all the alarms. After we cleared the smoke, ate dinner, and opened gifts, one of the young males surprised everybody by going to one knee and proposing marriage to his girl. Quite a night.
Congratulations to all on your exciting evening. Was this your grandson?
She sad “yes.”
Ummph. She said “yes.”
Merry Christmas, Moon! So nice to have some free time after a truly awful semester.
@Wolve Fabulous, Wolve. Congratulations!
Are you almost finished, Emma? Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas Moon! Very quiet event with fabulous wine. And to you Wolve – how wonderful.
Merry Christmas, Lyssa. I would be interested in hearing about your fabulous wine.
It was loud here and I drank Sutter Home. Sort of the opposite of your Christmas.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah to all.
The time of year for reflection and cheer. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays.
I’m finally heading into my LAST semester in a couple of weeks. There’s gonna be a celebration for sure when I finally submit my thesis and take my last final in May.@Moon-howler
Cheer!!! Let us know! It’s definitely difficult to go to school and continue working.
I hope everyone had a safe, enjoyable, relaxing Christmas and Hannakah. Congratulations to Emma for her upcoming graduation and to Wolve for the engagement in his family. It is great to hear such good news during the holidays.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Kelly. Did you stay home or travel?
I have been having a wonderful time with my little brothers this weekend. We haven’t all gotten together like this in a long time. Last night was Sibs night. The three of us went out and told stories of our childhood that the others didn’t know about. (lots of distance in ages)
My Christmas dinner was rather a laugh-in! Three generations
together, a friend I’ve known for 50 years, children and grandkids.
Everybody recalling some funny happening during the years of our unbelievably strong friendship.
No presents, thank goodness! And not at my house! 🙂
