Do we live in Bubbleville? Are the Bubbas in Bubbaville all that stupid?
Ouch. Was Jon Stewart overly rude or snarky? You be the judge.

Stewart was rude and aggressive, as he was also to Marco Rubio last week – for some reason Huckabee just sat and took it. Also, the segment seems heavily edited – as if they took out a lot of what Huckabee tried to say. Quite possibly just to keep the straight answers and remove blather, who knows.
In this case I LOVED THE RESULT when I watched it in real time. I had seen Huckabee on FOX News earlier that day doing the same stupid rap. To hear someone push back and show him up for the complete d-bag that he is was very pleasurable to me. I can’t stand Huckabee, or this phony “you’re the real Americans” rap.
Anyone who thinks there’s an ounce of honesty or truth in anything Huckabee says about Bubbas vs. Bubbles is a complete freaking idiot. he is reflexively promoting an obsolete argument, from a time when there were 3 TV channels, and maybe 100 Hoillywood movies made in a year that people could choose from, and you needed printing plants and physical distribution to publish. THOSE DAYS ARE LONG GONE. NO ONE IS DOMINATING YOUR EXISTENCE. The TV shows, movies, rap videos, whatever exist and are popular because people like them, not because some hipster elitist validated them.
And anyone too stupid to realize that is almost too stupid to be considered a fully fledged human being. I really, really feel sorry for anyone stupid enough to buy Huckabee’s book, or to ever take him seriously. To me that’s a likely sign of retardation, or diminished mental capacity. The guy is making the most dumb-f*** arguments possible.
Now I want to read it out of curiosity. I think it improves my own thinking skills to be able to see how others think.
I disagree that reading it would be mentally weak.
How could I resist reading about Bubbaville?
In an ideal world Huckabee would be selling used cars somewhere … and some other imbecile would be selling snake oil to the mentally weak.
There you go again, “Mr. Bentley.” Your gut must be roiling with hatred to keep you sputtering so unpleasantly at almost every turn.
Huck didn’t do so well. I don’t feel sorry for him, it’s not like the Daily Show is some cable access show that has a hidden agenda. The bubbles vs. bubba thing just didn’t connect either.
I thought Rubio absolutely killed it a couple of weeks ago. I admit to not being right on top of what his politics are but being human and engaging can go a long way for a candidate.
Rubio was funny and held his ground pretty well.
I agree, Rubio came off well.
Why would Huckabee go on the show? “Gotcha” has become an American pastime and preferred type of entertainment. Gladiators. Terrible reflection.
To sell his book. He is doing the talk show circuit.
Right. And there is some potential to look good, even if Stewart goes on the attack. Marco Rubio did what he wanted to do, presented himself as a man of substance, with ideas, and a sense of humor. Despite Stewart really having a go at him – the whole first ten minutes of that show was making fun of Florida.
