Maddow calls Trump out as a liar

Rachel tells us that our new soon -to-be president will flat out lie to us and will put it in writing even when we can check the information for ourselves.

Does this frighten anyone else but me?  For years I have heard people condemn various Democrats for lying.  Clinton about Lewinsky springs to mind…

This lie deals with our national security.  Does he think we are just stupid?

I have a shiver down my spine also.

Scott Pruitt: Be afraid, very afraid….

Washingtonpost.com:

Oklahoma is 1,400 miles from the entrance of the Chesapeake Bay at Havre de Grace, Md., halfway across the country. But the distance didn’t matter to Oklahoma’s attorney general, Scott Pruitt, after the Environmental Protection Agency drew up a plan to clean the polluted bay. He tried to stop it.

Pruitt was one of 21 state attorneys general who signed an amicus brief opposing the largest cleanup of a water body in U.S. history. The brief supported a federal lawsuit filed by the American Farm Bureau Federation and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau that claimed the EPA usurped the power of states in the watershed to regulate pollution that flows into the bay from cities and farms.

Pruitt is now President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee to run the EPA, the agency that Pruitt has railed against, suing it more than a half-dozen times over regulations on clean water and clean air that he disagreed with.

How can anyone deny that the Chesapeake Bay needs to be cleaned up?  Where did all the fish go?  Oysters?  Crabs?  These ocean dwellers are slowly returning as clean up efforts continue.  Does this bureaucrat  think that people who rely on the Chesapeake Bay for their livelihoods don’t need jobs?  There have to be fish, crabs and shellfish in order to make a living off the Bay.

People who live here in Prince William County can all do their part also to keep the Bay clean.  We are part of the watershed.  I don’t think for one second that our local government would do anything necessary to prevent the fouling of the Bay, unless of course the EPA ordered it to happen.   In fact, I have heard the BOCS chairman moan and groan about the regulations the board must pay to comply with.

Taking it a step further, we need clean air to breath.  Factory emissions must be curtailed.  Why do people deny these things.  Anyone who thinks burning coal is clean, has never lived around it.  Anyone who thinks that burning coal is healthy has never met anyone with black lung disease.  Read More

What the bleep? Trump national security pick Monica Crowley– plagiarist!

CNNmoney.com:

Conservative author and television personality Monica Crowley, whom Donald Trump has tapped for a top national security communications role, plagiarized large sections of her 2012 book, a CNN KFile review has found.

The review of Crowley’s June 2012 book, “What The (Bleep) Just Happened,” found upwards of 50 examples of plagiarism from numerous sources, including the copying with minor changes of news articles, other columnists, think tanks, and Wikipedia. The New York Times bestseller, published by the HarperCollins imprint Broadside Books, contains no notes or bibliography.

Crowley did not return a request for comment. Multiple requests for comment by phone and email over the past two days to HarperCollins went unreturned.

Megyn Kelly lured away from Faux News by NBC

New York Times:

Megyn Kelly, who arrived at Fox News 12 years ago as a television news neophyte but rose to become one of its two biggest stars, has decided to leave the network to take on a broad new role at NBC News for an undisclosed amount, people briefed on the negotiations said on Tuesday.

The NBC News chairman, Andrew Lack, wooed Ms. Kelly away from Fox News by offering her a triple role in which she will host her own daytime news and discussion program, anchor an in-depth Sunday night news show and take regular part in the network’s special political programming and other big-event coverage.

The move will herald a seismic shift in the cable news landscape, where Ms. Kelly had become the second-most watched host — after Bill O’Reilly of Fox News — and often helped define the national political debate, especially over the last year as Donald J. Trump regularly attacked her, at times in viciously personal terms.

Ms. Kelly’s departure would upend Fox News’s vaunted prime-time lineup and inject a new dose of tumult just a few months after the departure of the network’s powerful founding chairman, Roger Ailes, who was ousted after several women made allegations that he sexually harassed them.

Good for Megyn Kelly.  She has a brain and was wasting it on the T & A show over at Fox News.   I hope she sends Donald Trump a fruit basket thanking him for her liberation.  She did an excellent job during that first debate where Donald Trump showed his true misogynistic colors by attacking Megyn.  She acquired a great deal of support from that incident.
