Rawstory.com:

Fox News host Shepard Smith slammed President Donald Trump and White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Tuesday for his assertion that the media was ignoring terror attacks.

He said Trump appeared to be echoing “fringe media” like the publications InfoWars and Breitbart.

“In short, the president’s assertion is false,” Smith said. “The White House knows that it was false or could have learned that it was false with a quick Google check, but either did not do so or decided not to tell the truth.”

The Trump administration published a list of 78 terrorist attacks it claimed were under-reported by the media. But the Fox News host said that his network had covered every major terror attack.

“What they’re saying is not true, again,” he quipped, while introducing his guest. “Why bother?”

It’s about time that the media calls out Trump and his talking head, Sean Spicer, for not telling the truth.  Perhaps the media is our last hope.  I thought responsible Republicans would do it but so far, Senator McCain is one of the few who will step up to the plate.

The constant barrage of lies  told by this administration undermines our democracy and is a tool of authoritarian governments to control the populace.   If brut force isn’t used against populations, then propaganda and lies are used.

Terror attacks are well reported.  Perhaps governments disagree on what actually is terror, but the incidents are reported.  Our national propaganda machine, however, says otherwise.

Good for Shep for calling the liars out.  He is one of the few on Faux News who will stick his neck out over the truth.

Trump must start acting like an adult.  He is no longer a middle schooler.

Finally, wouldn’t embarrass most of us to be caught in a deliberate lie?

Trump is out of his element. On the golf course he can say something ridiculous and the guys laugh it off and keep playing.
