The blonde woman just sounds so ignorant and well, frankly, crazy. Who accosts someone in a line at a supermarket? No one.
How embarrassing. This video has gone viral and the woman is identified as a Virginian. How many more blights on us?

Name and shame. She chose to behave poorly in public so that video SHOULD go viral. Someone who knows who she is should also share her name. If she can’t act like a decent human being, she should stay home. And yes, I’m speaking of the racist.
I don’t disagree at all. What is this woman’s name? Who accosts a stranger like that, especially one who lets you put in line with your one bell pepper or whatever that thing is.
I agree that the older woman in line needs help. You think that she might have backed down when the young woman says she was born in the US but she kept digging her own grave. I think it’s sad that she believes Obama is a Muslim and is possibly going to jail. What has happened to these people? Why are they so angry? She doesn’t look destitute, she’s living in NOVA which did relatively well under Obama and she seems educated. Where did the world go wrong with her? (I am not saying that anyone against Obama needs help, just those that believe he’s a Muslim and needs to go to jail.)
I agree, Watching. That kind of diatribe based on false information, directed at a stranger in line is simply….NOT WELL.
That woman really isn’t alone in her thinking either.
MoonHowler,
A video report on Foxnews 5 says they spoke to the blond woman and she said the girl had said all kinds of “crazy” things to her before that clip, that got her riled up. Do I believe that, no, I think the girl let her go in front of her because the blond woman only had an avocado and now the woman is desperate to rationalize her behavior. Very sad. People are so scared of people who are different from them, I don’t know how that is going to change.
I don’t believe the woman said crazy stuff to her either. The conversation just wasn’t going that way….the part we could hear.
Furthermore, if that WERE true, why didn’t the blonde woman get a store manager?
Whatever happened to the idea that you can’t judge a book by the cover?
Unfortunately, the woman is not alone. Major ‘news’ outlets perpetuated falsehoods – even Trump himself with the birther investigation. Many of these people have been brain washed into believing this information. So it does not surprise me – but it certainly concerns me. I would like to hope that the Anti-Obama Hatred is behind us – but fear that it is not. I have never seen such public Hatred directed to any one individual while he was President. You can disagree with someone – you just should not hate him.
I just can’t imagine having the nads to talk to someone like that, especially if they had let me cut in line. That has to be some sort of mental illness.
This is the challenge of living in a society where everyone has the ability to shoot and upload a video for the world to see. All of this noise, only the worst examples rise to the top. When you think about it, it’s a lot like the news: “If it bleeds, it leads”. Every now and then, they will run a feel-good story about someone risking life and limb to save a basket of kittens from certain death, or an “extraordinary act of kindness”.
The thing is, people like the woman in the video are the exception, not the rule. As I go about my daily life, I see people holding doors for other people, or being patient with one another, etc. It’s rare that I observe someone “having a bad day” or giving someone crap for their ethnicity, or lack of efficiency, or other human frailty. Maybe in line at the store, someone will grumble a bit because the scanner rung something up wrong, or someone tried to squeeze 12 items through the express line. I do remember the actual public meltdowns, because they are rare.
Another recent viral video sweeping the nation is the kids at the pool-party, chucking an old lady in the pool, when she asked them to keep it down. Shocking. Outrageous. Criminal…and also rare.
People can “suck”. People can also be selflessly-kind. Always have been. Always will be.
Most people are decent human beings, depending on how you define decent.
There was something wrong with that woman. Who picks a fight like that?
That behavior is more like something you might find on the internet, where people don’t have to affix their own names or faces.
Sickening
