Who has seen the wind?
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.

Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.

There was a lot of tree bowing last week for sure. I cowered for 2 nights, waiting for a tree to fall on my home.
Lots of wind, but even more political hot air blowing around.
Pretty amazing few days. Multiple episodes of lost power, lost a very large tree and a few medium-sized, and got gusts over 55MPH. So thankful there wasn’t more rain, and that this didn’t happen with leaves on the trees.
At least mother nature is saving us from pruning some dead wood this spring.
I just lost a few branches and they are gone now.
What do you do with your wood?
MoonHowler,
Some small burns to handle downed branches (pretty much an all-day endeavor around the firepit, with wine), then for the larger trees, we’ll offer up firewood for anyone who can move it. Some of the wood has been curing for months or years. Last step is Balls Ford for hard to break-down stumps or rotten wood not worth burning.
NorthofNokesville,
I think it sounds like fun. Ours are in piles. Later fire pit activities. Probably beer will be the liquid of choice.
Amazing how the winds died down upon Peanuts resignation, coincidence, I think not.
Mom,
Mom,
Hot air factor?
Prince William County govt websites SUCKS!!!
Does anyone know how to call neighborhood services?
BTW, is it legal to use manure on your yard in the suburbs?

If you’re in an HOA, check the covenants and restrictions. Most include language that would nix that close quarters.
NorthofNokesville,
No HOA where I live.
I finally found the number for neighborhood services. They told me they didnt deal with smells.
I am serious. That’s what I was told.
